These 3000 season tickets, lapsed season ticket holders are they going to have the money. The diehards have already bought their season tickets. Those that haven't will probably have already stumped up for shares, cake bakes and the rest. We are at the start of summer holiday seaon are these people going to have another £300-£400 lying about to invest when the kids are off school, holidays to pay for etc just to chuck in to another financial black hole?

Well this is the time to find out seeing as most people that get paid monthly, get their wages at the end/beginning of the month, so if they haven't reached their target by about the 3rd July, they're goosed.

Any word in the papers about what players are being binned today?

I'd assume MacDonald is one of them but not sure if the others likely to be Sutton or Stevenson?

Id say sutton and one of stevenson, hamill or grainger. I think they would see mcdonald as having a sell on value, the others are likely to be high earners but not sure how much.

On a side noe whats the script with Danny Wilson, i am asusming he will be released but not sure if they would count him as a 'player' yet

The latest im hearing from the yams is that they wont get relegated next season as another team or two will go into admin sometime in the next season and save them from it.!!! WOW!!!! they aren't even entertaining the fact that they might not even make the season!

They must have been sprinkling something on the rollover hotdogs at the pink bus shelter over the years....

With that squad hearts have got and the points deduction next seasons provably an ideal time for killie or whoever to go into admin and escape still in the league

Just thinking with MacDonald they've got a Scotland under 21 interbational in reserve (I think), plus if they go with two keepers and one gets injured they could get an emergency loan in.

Thought maybe Sutton but apparently he's there only striker, so maybe Stevenson......or maybe the administrator doesn't care who'll score goals and will just look at who's on the most money.

Would he do a job for us?

does anyone here with savvy understand the hearts drama? am I right in saying that hearts do not own the stadium and the only assets they have, is the current playing squad?

If a CVA is agreed to save them, they may still become homeless, if the owners of the ground sell it

THANKS

If Hearts were a normal business they would be liquidated. The assets do not remotely meet the liabilities, let alone the cash flows. It is very questionable that the Board were not in breach of the companies act as 'trading insolvent' thus Dundee can feel very hard done by indeed. Further there is no way BDO can guarantee Hearts can fulfil their obligations in season 2103/14 thus there is a case to suspend them and promote either Morton or Dundee. However Hearts are not a normal business. I guess they will sell their 3000 extra seasons and keep the club afloat, in cash flow terms, not asset/liability, for a few months then it is down to the attitude of the Lithuanians. The old adage if you owe a pound you have a problem if you owe a million the bank has a problem. I suspect BDO hope they can settle with the creditors at say 30p in the pound ie £6/7m to buy out the club and ground debt free with the creditors taking the hit and some mug will step in to 'save them'. But if the Lithuanians believe the stadium could be sold, with the necessary planning permission, for a lot more Hearts will struggle to find a mug to step and pay £15+ million then its liquidation and Division3 (if they are lucky). it is a game of poker and BDO will try and string this out for as long as possible as it strengths their hand against the Liths and crates some hope for them. Certainly we will see what the Hearts fans are made of. Lukewarm reaction and game over, sell their tickets and struggle on dependent on striking a deal with a group of people who don't give a fig for their 'tradition.' Either way they are finished as a credible 3rd force (which they only briefly were through lets be polite and say 'financial skulduggery.' In my view they have acted with gross negligence (at best) and sporting integrity demands a very harsh punishment indeed. Whatever the result their arrogant bragging rights are finished.

It was the Lithuanians that appointed BDO as Administrators, so it's reasonable to assume they've already had initial discussions with BDO about what sort of offer would be acceptable. I'd be amazed if BDO go through a full admin process (with fans shelling out more money) only to find that the Lith creditors can't agree a CVA with FOH or whoever else is waiting in the wings. If that was the case, they might as well go straight to liquidation and sell up.

Just thinking the administrator has announced that he needs the money from sales of another 3,000 season ticket sales to keep Hearts going for the next few months.

Which will remove income from 10,000 season ticket sales from the new owners budget next season, so even if they get about 3-4k on average who pay at the gate (being optimistic), say around £60 - £80k every 2 weeks, how can they survive from that as other income will not make up the shortfall.

Just can't see how they can survive unless someone is prepared to throw huge amounts of Wonga at them.

I was wondering about this last night. Excuse me if i am wrong here, a mathematician i am not !

If they agree a 30p in the £ deal then for Ukio & UBIG alone they are going to owe 7.5 million pounds, this does not include what i expect is a hidden pile of other debts we still dont yet know about. In addition to this as you have correctly said, if someone did want to buy Hearts they are also going to have to bankroll the team for the first year as that money is gone. So if you say that there operating cost is 2.5 million (i think thats prob being kind to them) before you have done a thing you have a £10m outlay. None of this even touches on the wonga dome etc that you would need to look at.

Now unless you are a hearts fan and have an emotional attachment to them i cant see how any businessman would look at them with Scottish football in the state that it is and think there is opportunity to make money. ???

Zaliukas was probably told in May that he would be offski in the summer, either by them selling him or being released early. There was a report in one of the rags a couple of weeks back that Sevco are interested in him.

"Jackson also told fans that every penny from season books will be used to keep the club afloat by paying players and staff."

So BDO must be getting paid from other sources eg FOH funds ?

The SPL should be all over this process and Hearts future cash flow projections as this doesn't even sound like a hand to mouth approach. If they've already committed the 6500 STs funds and need a further 3000 STs fees over the summer just to pay wages until August, they're stuffed and will never be able to balance the books during the season. IMHO they are a dead man walking (ie a Zombie Club) already and should be shot in the head. The SPL should step in and sort this out.

The SPL and Trading Standards should also be reviewing BDOs behaviour here. Trying to enticing 3000 people to part with almost £1m with no assurances or indication of what they will actually be getting for their money (quality of players) is potentially deceiving. Its like watching a scam played out in public :greengrin

For a start, BDO aren't paid by Hearts, they will be paid out of the price paid by the buyer. They're simply trying to keep the company alive long enough that the situation can be clarified and the groundwork made for bids to be made and considered.

There is no "trading standards" issue because BDO made it quite clear that they are only seeking funds to get them through the next 3-4 months. After that it is up to a buyer to fund (which makes the deal more expensive) or the company will cease to exist. If Hearts fans don't like it then they have the choice of not buying a ST and take the risk of whatever happens via liquidation.

I think that was a Freudian slip. BDO will take their fees when their job is completed either through a CVA or liquidation. They'll take the fees out of the cash they've raised and distribute the remainder to the creditors - that's normal practice.

The fact that he said that suggests that selling Tynie is more likely than not, which makes sense since it's the only asset they have with any real value.

If this is THE end for them, how long do you think it would take for us to become a one city, one team club? The potential is there for us to have increased crowds which,in turn, feeds the playing budget.

As a one city, one team club, we truly could be a real threat to the Glasgow dominance over the last few decades.

I would have thought that anyone responding to the request to buy a ST now would either do it under a payment plan or on their credit card. Under the first scenario, they are not going to get enough money up front to help them through the next few months. Someone said earlier that the credit card companies were not handing the full amount over to Hearts but were making staged payments. This being the case, they are stuffed unless a potential buyer puts money in now to keep them going until a sale is concluded.

I really don't see what their big problem is. By now, the container with all their new strips that was delayed for a day in Ethopia or wherever, must have arrived and the new kits in the shop for sale. This should bring in enough wonga to see them through to the start of the season at least and then allow them to stay as the 2nd farce in Scottish football.

They are just too pig ignorant to admit they need our help. Sure they will get a resounding "bolt" but they should leave no stone unturned.

They need to think back to a time when there was some respect in the city. If they were to say they wanted to get that back, who knows, they might get somewhere.

Just stop going on about us being a wee team; about being in their shadow; about being THE Edinburgh team; about ending us forever. As it stands we hold all the aces, including the ability to help them out.

Over 50% on here want them to survive. A bit of humility a bit of regret, a bit of decency would be all it would take to tap into the human side of our rivalry. All they need is to look suitably shamefaced, and who knows, there are a lot of softies that would fight their cause.

Oh wait......I suppose it's like Hitler expecting the Russians to go easy on him by saying it was all just a bit of fun that got out of hand.

its cash or cheque only..............so all the great plans on getting money back via credit card if it all fails is gone, plus it basically means folks are going to need a large wad of cash up front......wouldnt want to be walking around gorgie with a few hundred notes in my back pocket!!!!

I don't even know anyone that will consistently have £400 for a season ticket available in cash, folk usually save up for these things, the ones that have already bought them will be totally rooked already. You would have to be insane to plonk down £400 cash on a currently imaginary season ticket.

Someone with enough money (eg. a yam STF - though there doesn't seem to be one :greengrin) could see that as a sound enough long term investment and immediate tax write-off, without the need to see any return in the short term. One of my bosses (a property developer) is making too much money and is currently buying up swathes of land all over France to reduce his tax bill. Most of it won't be touched until well after he's retired but in the long term there's very little risk.

IIRC the CC or merchant pulled the plug a while back as they werent getting the commission payments they were due, im guessing this is still in place, alternatively it is now due to them being in administration and teetering on insolvency so to high risk for them, that and the people who might use a CC to purchase a ST may not have the funds to pay it back and therefor they will aso default, how do they stop the use of the ST and also should they still go 'pop' then the ST would be nil and void anyway.

Which would also have an impact with the SPFL meeting, if they cant sign players, sacking some, selling others then they couldnt guarantee to have a team to put on the park week in and week out once injuries and suspensions also impact a threadbare squad.

Again goes back to insurances they can fulfil fixtures which they surely couldnt do.

The rationale behind this is that "All the administrator is asking is that we sell as many season tickets as we did last year". The total may be similar but you're wanting them sold by the start of July instead of the middle of August, which is when season ticket sales normally dry up.

It's incredible. Ewan Murray the Jambo journalist tweeted last night that he thought a deal would be done by Monday and they needed to get out of Admin ASAP as they needed to buy players. He obviously forgot about the admin process taking months not to mention to oh so small matter of a SPL (very very likely) transfer embargo until end of year if not whole season for non payment of wages.

In the yams world it's ok to forget about the debt to the Lithuanians, police, utility companies, local newsagent, suppliers etc etc not to mention sacking players and staff.......then less than 24 hours later talk about recruiting players 'cause Lockie will need a team on the park to challenge Celtic'.

Administrator Trevor Birch, who helped haul Portsmouth out of administration, said outside of voluntary donations there was nowhere else to go apart from the fans to generate as much as £750,000 needed for Hearts to survive to the start of the new season.

He said: “There is literally no cash in the bank at all. At least on day one at Portsmouth, there was cash in the bank. The plea has to be to the fans to come forward yet again – and I know they’ve been effectively milked time and time again – but this really is the last rallying call to save the club.”

Do they know that a CVA is probably the easiest bit to achieve?

Do they know that they have to satisfy the secured creditors as well?

Do they know that they have to survive long enough, without cash, for a CVA to be drafted, distributed and agreed?

Do they know that there has to be someone with enough cash to fund a CVA, the secured creditors and working capital for an entire season?

Do they know that their best chance of surviving debt-free is through a New Company, starting off in Division 3?

We had tombola, raffle, face painting, bouncy castles, tattoos, food sales etc. The weather will be in our favor this time so perhaps we can have some outdoor activities.

That implies the bouncy castle will be indoors?

The Yams I work with think it's all going to be rosy and debt free with a new owner when the CVA gets agreed. Leaves me with a sour taste given we lived within our means during their Pieman and Vlad excesses.

What CWG says plus:

IF they get out of administration they will do so with a squad that looks like it would need at least a 15 point start to avoid relegation

They're already 15 points adrift at the foot of the table

They can't sign any players

They'll still have no money

Those are all certainties, but they also might or might not have a ground to play in - if they do it's in serious need of repair (painted steps notwithstanding).

That's what they're all praying will happen.

So yesterdays meeting with the UK consortium was a crock of ***** then.

Pity Hearts minded journos weren't asking questions before now. Or was it just that no one would listen?

Its probably not, he masquerades as a golf journalist mostly now after his 'fanzine' type football columns have found him out.

Hearts warned there will be no quick fix

http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/hearts-warned-there-will-be-no-quick-fix-1-2973233

HEARTS were today warned that it will take months for the club to exit administration. Manager Gary Locke will start the new season with one of the youngest teams in Tynecastle history as he tries to claw back a 15-point deficit whilst unable to register new players.

The club have been deducted 15 points and banned from registering new players after entering administration, which Jackson said will take months to complete. Scottish Premier League rules, which will soon transfer to the new Scottish Professional Football League, prevent any club registering new players whilst in administration. There is a strong chance Hearts could remain under BDO’s command beyond the end of the summer transfer window on August 31.

Jackson admitted they will be forced to supplement their squad by promoting more players from the Riccarton youth academy.

“It’s not possible to be out of administration before the season starts,” he said. “Getting out of administration takes months because you have statutory duties, timescales and different meetings to attend to that you must give advance notice of.

“Even if you had an acceptable offer for the business, these things don’t run smoothly. There are always complications.”

Would he do a job for us?

does anyone here with savvy understand the hearts drama? am I right in saying that hearts do not own the stadium and the only assets they have, is the current playing squad?

If a CVA is agreed to save them, they may still become homeless, if the owners of the ground sell it

THANKS

Don't know the full ins and outs and it will be down to the administrators to sort out the whole mess, but I thought that they did own the stadium but it was subject to a security, the right to which was transferred to UBIG last year.

So, if they can't cough up the readies to pay back the money owed to UBIG or make a deal with them, they (UBIG) could insist on the stadium being sold to try and recoup what they're owed.

If we get messrs Geldof and Ure to sing that I think we could have a Christmas No1.

My sympathy goes out to the 14 full time staff and the part-time staff too who have lost their Livelihood but not the big earning players who have also been sacked - you dont have to be a Labour party follower to let him know your discontent about his absence from the Job that pays his wages

Dear Monkeys,

Today I will not be showing your portrait to you. It is pointless. You are one step away from becoming human beings.

Go and carefully have a look at yourself in the mirror. Don't you see a human in it?

Stop fighting for the values which the ex-captain of Hearts was fighting for.

Education and truthful information - that should be your input to humankind.

Your leader Mowgli is not taking bananas any more, now he is taking money for lies and untruthful interpretation. However he is greedy and makes you collect rotten information from cesspits and poisons readers with it.

This is unworthy even of a monkey.

Today I will express my opinion in English about refereeing in order that your Mowgli will not make you tell lies.

To discuss whether referees take money or not is the same as discussing a woman who gives herself with no love.

Isn't it better to concentrate on the standard of their work instead of looking for reasons for their poor performance?

A woman cheats herself and nature if she gives herself without love. If a referee officiates a game based on his personal love, he commits a cynical crime, especially when the public has trusted him.

I respect those referees who take money from two stupid teams and then honestly officiates a game. They do not harm football in any way. Though it is bad, still everybody is equal for them. Perhaps that is the reason why football in Italy will never die despite all the scandals that continuously shake it.

I think that is much better than being the champions for 40 years while building up the same system for a further 40 years.

Now it has become obvious to me why you, the Monkeys, were trying to ruin Hearts not only in the Championship, but in European competitions as well. I think it was not without your help that the 'frozen' referee from Russia was selected to officiate our match and that in the games against the Greek side we got three red cards.

It is not without your help that traitors were presented as heroes thus showing the road to children for betrayal.

You will always call teachers silly because unlike you they lead children along the correct path.

Protecting your values in that way just spoils not only football, but also a Scotsman's proud name.

I beg you Mowgli, take the monkeys back to the Safari Park!”

Loved his ramblings...

One positive for remaining staff was Birch’s assertion that Hearts can be salvaged. “I believe it is saveable. The key thing is a quick sale,” he said.

As has been explained on here extensively, there are numerous barriers to a quick sale happening. It's one minute to midnight for HMFC... BDO seem to have given the supporters the next fortnight to buy season tickets but I wonder if they'll wait that long before pulling the plug. Surely they will be monitoring season ticket sales today and Saturday and if they don't pick up...

On a side noe whats the script with Danny Wilson, i am asusming he will be released but not sure if they would count him as a 'player' yet

Yams never had a (Mary's) prayer of keeping Danny Wilson. On a more serious note surely after dust has died down what's left of Yams should, at a minimum face a disrepute charge. You do have to laugh at their efforts, even if these events were mega successful they would be lucky to raise a few grand. This time next week we find out if enough of them have rallied round to pay Zal his £10k a week. Surely the players should be coming out with support with the club by going half pay till they are out of administration. I don't think they realise that even if they get the ST sold whoever comes in will have to have very deep pockets. They will have spent all the ST money before the season has started. Tick tock

Tick tock

Half pay? Bloody luxury.

Surely they must know by now that they are up S*** Creek wi' a broken rudder, and some glaring holes in their submarine, and a good bit of pain still to come?

But no, it's a case of all will be well, somebody wi' a few mil will ride into town, slap it on the table, and declare all's fixed, and the big team can start buying players again to terrorise aw' us wee teams...

Urgently - a decent DJ. The last guy was awesome but I can't recall where he was from.

Lots & lots of bottles, small stuff for the raffle/tombola - the last time this was very well supported & very popular.

Donations of home made cakes (we even had some Hearts themed stuff last time)

Bunting & baloons - Does anyone know anyone who could donate/lend some decorations?

A baloon artist - anyone know someone who would lend their support to do this?

Peppa pig & Minnie Mouse were there last time - can we get them again?

Hair braiding - this was popular. Anyone?

Face painting - the girl who done this was excellent - can we contact her again? Anyone?

The bouncy castle will no doubt be hired through the same firm who were excellent. Perhaps we could have a donation for this (it's about £80) if the guy doesn't donate it for free?

Anyone do photography? We could have the kids photographed with a couple of players with the stadium backdrop. Anyone do this for free & be willing to email the photos to each donator after the event?
