Then their players have rotten attitudes if that is the case, which I doubt it is.

I would say recently a lot of them have got relaxed attitudes.

At least United made history by becoming the first team to lose an FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup semi final in the same season.

Adding to Man Utd's achievements under Ole's tenure:

-Losing to Crystal Palace at home for the first time in the PL era.
-Losing to Cardiff Cityat home for the first time ever.
-The longest United had failed to win 3 games on the bounce in a calendar year was 3 months, Ole stepped it up to at least 11 months.
-United had never gathered under 30 points by Boxing Day in the PL era, until Ole.
-United had lost 7 of 9 games between March-May 2019, first time since 1931.
-United went 21 games without a clean sheet between 1970-71, Ole managed longer.
-United had never went 500 minutes without scoring a goal from open play, until Ole.

What a guy.

I'm here pal thanks for checking up on me.

Tonight's match was a bit of an irrelevance really since the format got changed to a single match. Looking forward to watching United back in the big league again next season and of course looking to take the league trophy back along the M62 and win number 21. 😜

United winning the league.....no chance next season, but you know that 😁

Definitely but it didn’t mean as much since they finished in the CL positions than it would have if they didn’t. Or maybe they’re over rated ***** like the rest of EPL.

Probably, they were one point behind this season.

If Conte stays and they get a good left wing back I think they'll win it easily. Juventus getting Pirlo as manager is a very strange decision.

It’s not jealousy in Germany of the hatred of red bull it’s because they’ve trashed the rules and found loop holes to advertise there energy drink through the use of a club name & crest.

50+1 rules in Germany are to stop one man or group holding a majority and deciding share holding in the club (there are historic exceptions) so fans groups hold a 51% stake, the ‘fans groups’ for Leipzig are set up with Red Bull company directors at the head of them with very little fans actually included, they called the team rasenballsport (racket ball sport) so that they had the RB initials and used the bulls as the badge of the team meaning everyone (outside of Germany) refers to the RB as red bull.

They also transfer players between RB’s, Salzburg to Leipzig being the most common route although Tyler adams moved from New York to Leipzig last year, fee’s and market value aren’t met for these transfers, Red Bull have recently set up a club in Brazil and where looking at taking over Brondby so could become a major issue in the future with players moving between those teams.

The whole football set up is impressive though, from youth teams to
Top teams coaching and development but they’ll be flouting a lot of rules if it keeps growing the way it is most recently seen when Salzburg and Leipzig drew each other in I think the europa league semi final?

Interesting for the outsider but it’s an unforgivable and hate filled thing in Germany I don’t think will die down anytime soon.

I might be wrong but the 50+1 thing isn't actually a rule, more a gentleman's agreement. I don't really see it as too big a deal since they're fans are all plastic anyway. It's different for historic clubs that need protection.

No arguments with that, they are indeed hard to like. I’ve watched a bit of both RB teams in the Europa League and at least three players have cropped up In both Leipzig AND Salzburg teams, they deny it but they are already a franchise. I’m fascinated by their sports science though, it’s almost NASA level of detail to marginal gains.

There is a campaign gathering some pace #LetFansIn. I think its more about the small clubs facing a season start with no gate money. Losing some of those clubs would be damaging to communities and a lot of them have been around an awful long time before any of the pub team chat starts! The point is being made in no uncertain terms that their grounds can offer greater social distancing than Wetherspoons, Tesco or the local barber can.

it is actually a rule, but some clubs have been granted exceptions, because of historical company ownership (Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim).

Interestingly, the rule is often misunderstood as being that 50% +1 of shares should be owned by Supporters, but it's actually by Club Members (which is how Red Bull got round the ruling).

That's because the German clubs were traditionally not for profit organisations, owned and run by their club members.

It's quite well explained HERE (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50%2B1_rule)

Depending on what level they are of course but I don't see why 100/200 people can't watch a game, there's more than enough space.

Although thinking about it, the authorities are probably worried about letting fans in at lower level and more people show up than normal because they can.

I know it’s just a nothing friendly but how in earth did a hibs team that strong lose 3-0 to Livi’s back up/fringe players. Not a criticism i just find it a bit bizarre. Unless of course the score was close and then the goals went in when we made subs.

Tom James scoring an own goal in a bounce match is typical isn’t it. I think he has ability on the ball but just lacks real food defensive play or aggression, his head must be completely gone.

David Gray at centre back is an interesting one, also noticed he played on the right of a 3 against Celtic in the friendly.

Glad to see Mallan and Mackie getting games under their belts. Mallan will play a big part this season and I think Ross could quite like Mackie. Think a lot of people seem to forget how good and promising he was when he had that couple of months in the squad. Couple of really good performances and assists against Celtic and Rangers.

Him getting sent off against Rangers has since clouded a lot of people’s judgements but I think there is potential. Big, strong, athletic lad with a good left foot. Lennon said confidence and being too harsh on himself was his issue so hopefully that is resolved.

Most of Scottish football is dire - not talking the game down - just many average teams.

Aberdeen for all the money they spend on wages are really dull to watch. Very athletic team but they really miss creativity.

Saints look the more dangerous team - odd to think with Craig and Wotherspoon playing for them.

That's sums up Aberdeen , looks like McRorie will fit in well with them. Mostly tall physical players.
We have lost out on a few signing targets to them recently but glad we missed out on Ojo , allegedly McGinn, McGeouch and we will see in time about McRorie.
McInnes has turned them round since he has been there but their fans I deal with through work are getting bit fed up with style of play whether that’s them getting complacent seeing them in the top half or if they are still living in the 80's I don’t know.

Aberdeen same old same old they just grind out results

This result makes St Johnstone dangerous going into Sunday we will have to be on our A game

I thought Craig Conway although introduced late on could prove to be an inspirational signing for SaintsHopefully the games start improving. Not been impressed with any Scottish game yet.

I wonder what the viewing figures are for spl matches out-with the old firm? Can only be a few thousand surely??

Depends how desperate people are to watch football in a year it’s been stopped and the Euros cancelled. I’m sitting watching La Liga playoff match just now, it’s rank but it’s still on so I’m watching football now that River City isn’t on 😃

No it’s been poor but the fact that no team had a preseason may be the reason as it’s going to take a while for things to get going. Hope so anyway

Rubbish. McNamara from Saints looked the part at times though.

I'm pretty sure a large % of them can't stand the manager.

In interviews he often talks about getting something to hang on to. That says it all. Kill the game, sneak a scrappy goal then kill the game some more. Not surprised they can't stand him.

McNamara looked a right good player, kept saying that all night. On loan from Millwall

You’ll never see him play to his best in that team.

Definitely. It blows my theory Jackie McNamaras kid was playing in the same team as Colin Hendrys though 🤣

Sevilla Inter hard to call. Should be good.

Both teams are in incredible form, Inter have had 7 clean sheets in their last 9 games, including away to Atalanta who scored 98 league goals. Sevilla have also had 7 clean sheets in their last 9 games.

Lukaku in a great run of form

Sevilla really are europa league specialists winning it three times in six years

watch it go to penalties after finishing 0-0 :(

Lucas OCampos is struggling for fitness. Really interesting player, he was decent in ligue 1 for OM but nothing special, quite a big physical hard worker out wide, his most notable contribution was an embarrassing dive to get Neymar sent off in le classique, absolute poetry :faf: but he’s gone to supposedly a tougher league and really excelled this season, scoring a load of goals and assists. I’m going for Man U Rejects XI in extra time though, Lukaku is in unstoppable form as you say.
