Shankland ain’t doing much for Dundee Utd this season. Quick enough to get praise but I haven’t seen a lot of criticism.

There's no criticism because he isn't a Hibs player. Guaranteed that there would be a thread 20 pages long by now.

Shocking eh, undersoil heating is a requirement, even though its plastic pitch the heating should be on...
Have they got pre-cons for that!
It’s not like they’ve been caught out with a last minute frost.

I would have thought that one of the mandatory requirements for allowing these poor excuses for pitches would be a system that guarantees within reason that all weather conditions are catered for and all games should go ahead.
Me too. I was being a bit flippant.

Unlike Nisbet, Shankland hasn't gotten any better by moving up a level and probably Championship is where he should've stayed. Watched the Celtic v Dundee U game and noticed how unfit McNulty still looks, he was badly out of shape the last time he was here and he still looks like that, could do with losing around a stone in weight.

No crowds and many still on holiday or furloughed/working from home, all games were on the club TV sites , no real big deal.

Can see McNulty just dropping and dropping his level from here. The Scottish Championship beckons when his loan at Utd ends imo.

I know. But at the same time I don’t see what the issue would have been with just playing them at 6 like the rest of the games.
Not that I care, just didn’t even consider there would have been games on earlier! Must be a long time since there’s been 3pm kick offs on a weekday when it’s not a holiday I’d think.

I'm missing the 1st 30 mins of tonight's game because I'm picking the wife up from work, 6pm is a pain also, could've had all games on at 7pm, considering none are on main tv and only club tv.

Pretty poor fare from Liverpool tonight again after Sundays lack of shots on target. Loads of possession not being translated into goals (might end up doing a Man U from last night I suppose), keeps it interesting at the top of the table though.

I fancy City to win it. Spurs throwing away leads in the last 10 minutes of games against teams like Newcastle, West Ham and Palace is why they won’t win the league. Chelsea’s big signings are yet to hit off and Arsenal are still way off the teams just mentioned.

There’s a particular issue that I think makes the Celtic and Rangers comparisons a bit different.
In most countries though all teams will have local support and traditionally more successful teams will get a wider interest.
Every team wants to grow their potential audience beyond their core local support.

Nobody would wear a Man United shirt in Leeds? That's like wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt in Alabama; you're just asking to be found in a ditch.
Seen Man u shirts in Leeds in the past.
Town where I lived replaced Man u shirts with firstly Huddersfield when they went up, last I saw before lockdown Leeds fans were everywhere.

Just caught up with the Man U Villa game. Villa so unlucky, they were a joy to watch, maybe just a top class striker away from being right up there challenging although I like Watkins. Ref was incredibly lenient to Man U, what do you have to do to get booked?

Enjoyed that game . Villa probably deserved a point but Man U looked dangerous and their counter attacks were lightening fast . If Man U signed Grealish and McGinn I’d fancy them to run Liverpool close .

Lived in Leeds for 17 years now, there was a definite rise in man city shirts for a while, then Liverpool and like you say it was all Leeds pre lockdown 😁
Work with a few Man Utd fans too, that rivalry can pick up again now and I can sit back in the office and enjoy watching it all as I could not give a monkeys about either 😁

Watching this with no particular leanings either way I think that there are some of you that clearly dislike Utd and are seeing the game on that basis!
Think it was a good game, Villa were really good. Thought the penalty was probably fair enough though and there really wasn’t much else controversial with how the game was officiated.
I've no preference at all for either team but that is never ever a penalty kick

A good day for Scottish football on TV today - Old Firm at 12.30, Hibs v Livvi the main event at 3 then Dundee v Hearts on the Beeb at 7.20.
Will head out for a good walk this morning then settle down by fireside for rest of the day. Hoping for a Celtic win just to make things more interesting at the top and a Dundee win for entertainment value, but as long as Hibs so the business that’s all that matters

Fascinating match at lunchtime. Surely anything other than a Celtic win and the title belongs to The Rangers.
Wonder if an empty Ibrox will help the away team here or if the Rangers steamroller will just bash on regardless.
Hopefully an away win to keep things interesting but if it goes the other way the Celtic meltdown will be a joy to watch.
