If only there was any remote possibility of a Scottish flag in sight in between all the UJs it would be good for Scotland too.

Good win for the Rangers tonight. Impressive stuff. Played the opposition of the park before giving a daft goal away. Even carried Morelos, who was poor, to an extent that it looked deliberate.

Watched the 1st half of the Celtic game and it was like watching last weeks game against Riga. Dreadful stuff with intermittent Frimpong the only entertainment.

After tonight's results Scotland are a baw hair behind Turkey and Ukraine in the UEFA coefficient. Will overtake both and move into 11th best league spot after the next European match night.

When, if ever, do teams start to take it seriously?

Had a look at the teams tonight and it all looked quite sad. There's obviously financial priorities down south with the league (and champions league where applicable) but that was a great chance for Villa to push on and try to actually win something and they play a second string team. Same with Liverpool v Arsenal in the cup - that should be a showcase game but again numerous changes made as it's just not a priority. It all just sounds a bit sad/stale on the face of it.

I prefer the Caribou to the FA cup. It's expected that teams play some reserves and give them a chance so there's no pretence that soandso "has a calf strain and won't make it." Also it's over quick and early. There have been some good matches this time.

I don't think Spurs will win the league but they are looking better than Man City, Leicester, Man United and Chelsea at the moment.

In terms of the players mentioned, they honestly remind me of Liverpool's midfield when Klopp took over. Would anyone have bet on Jordan Henderson being a Champions League winner? Or Wijnaldum when he was at Newcastle in 2016?

Like Liverpool, the Spurs midfield have power, aggression and are good all rounders. They are there to allow the front 3 to play, and I would say Son, Kane and Bale is up there with Salah, Firmino and Mane.
