It was planned for that reason, obviously the European runs of Rangers and Celtic have put paid to that

The rules need changed to any handball and its a penalty.....ffs how was that deliberate ?....I think he expected the rangers guy to get a touch and was surprised when it came thru to him.
Surely that was ball to hand.

Instead of putting crosses into the box, there's probably a greater return just firing it in at waist height..lol

I absolutely agree with that.

I'm not even necessarily suggesting that the guy is a bad player. I just don't think the move to Arsenal has worked out, and I'm not sure this is the team where he can highlight his qualities (which has also happened many times in the past before - see de Bruyne or Wilfred Zaha as clear examples of players that don't work in a particular team/system).

They got well beaten in the Champions league qualifier then played teams from Andorra and Moldova. Sometimes the draw you get helps.

They are also consistently qualifying and playing in Europe so they have a yearly chance to get through a few games if the draw is right.

Even this season they’ve been talked up and Celtic kind of written off but Celtic still actually getting more points, more goals etc. Fully expect the same ending in terms of actually winning stuff. Still a bit of a gap there when it matters.

Yep, great result for them. Equally good result for Celtc - that wasn't an easy away trip, even if Sarajevo aren't exactly European giants.
