Big chance to win something. Looking forward to hearing how we "bottled" the Livi (who were in admin with 3rd parties paying wages) and Ross county (who were a tier above us) finals in the build up. This is not comparable. This time we're the best side left by a margin. No excuses

Let's also be clear - the size and league placing of the team who competes in the last eight of any cup competition doesn't matter, the score at the end of 94 minutes is all that counts. Yesterday is a good win.

St. Mirren have put out Aberdeen and Sevco. St. Johnstone are on a hell of a run. All four teams will fancy it. Time for calm.

Just great to have someone other the Celtic win a trophy for a change .... and it not being the Huns makes it all the sweeter. Great for Scottish football.

After the phenomenal season they’ve had so far this year, this result has prompted muppet on FF to start a thread about them being ‘serial losers’. :faf::faf::faf:

Which is more accurate than awarding them the title in November.

They were average v Utd at the weekend too. Long way to go and another trophy that they’ve managed not to win.

Big chance to win something. Looking forward to hearing how we "bottled" the Livi (who were in admin with 3rd parties paying wages) and Ross county (who were a tier above us) finals in the build up. This is not comparable. This time we're the best side left by a margin. No excuses

There will be no excuses if we dont win, but there were also.no excuses for the last semi we lost. Yet we did..

We are marginal favourites at best. What a position to be in though

Exaxtly! Difference is on this occasion we're having a comfortable season and finishing at least 4th on current form. Unbeaten against all three semi finalists already this season and have no OF, Jambos or sheep to worry about.

I'm not counting my chickens. Far from it. But let's realise this is a great opportunity.

If Celtic win on Sunday then, along with last night's result, it is a massive psychological boost for them. They are still a trophy winning team and The Rangers are not.

Although the gap in the league seems massive it could start to narrow quite quickly and then the pressure really comes on The Rangers.

Would be quite funny to watch them crumble

That's pretty much where I am too. If The Rangers don't win the league from the position they currently hold then the meltdown would be wonderful to behold.

The trade off would be the insufferable Celtc fans but I could live with that.

And before there is a pile on, yes we could still win the league but let's work on the basis of the likely not the outrageous.

Knocked out of the Champions League after a scenario of only needing a point from their last two games.

Credit where it’s due that they are in a position of potentially going into 2nd if they win their game in hand. They don’t look like a team that can beat the ‘bigger’ teams though and their defence is below average so no chance of winning any title imo.

The problem is the defence. Maguire and Lindelof are very average. Sort the defence and United could be a good team, but you can't win trophies when conceding two or three goals every game. Unless Ole can put that right, he won't keep the job. Club record of successive away wins but can't win at home. They are so unpredictable.
