Its often much maligned but personally think its a decent season opener. All the top leagues across Europe have a similar game (not always at the start of the season) but Bayern played Leipzig yesterday, Nantes play PSG in their quivalent today. Italy and Spain both havr suoer cups.

Cash is king to clubs like Livi though, I know every penny counts for most Scottish clubs outwith the old firm but I think they will continue to do it as it brings more money in and that trumps everything else. Actually technically a penalty despite the rule change.

Watch it closely. The ball strikes the first Rangersplayer whose arm is in an un-natural position, it ricochets off him into his own player and then strikes him again. It is not a deflection as defined in the rule as the Rangwrs player was technically the last player to play the ball...to himself.

When United signed Levitt last season he had barely played any football. Certainly nowhere near proven at any senior level of the game.
