A lot weaker without Fabinho, Thiago and Mane. Much like the season their defence had problems, they are only a couple of injuries away from falling away from being title contenders. That's why City are ahead of them and will probably run away with the title again this season.

Possibly the players getting too comfortable, you need to shake it up every year or two, Fergie did it all the time to keep the hunger there, also Liverpool have 2-3 key injuries.
