exactly like it is either blatant cheating or the folk watching the VAR screens don't have the first clue about football! the thing is you see that challenge on the Brighton boy the day and that's not given then you compare that with the cabraja one which is given and it's no even in the same ball park in terms of contact! how that goal of ours was given offside yesterday is an absolute disgrace they should just drop this VAR it's more hassle than it's worth, if you are taking 5 minutes to decide if it's a goal or a penalty the game is gone like

I understand your point but to leave an experienced player out for a rookie at the world cup finals would be a very bad move on several levels.

He's only 18, and if his form continues to improve, he'll have at least 3 world cups to play in, probably 4. He's a talent, of that there is no doubt, but he's not even close to being world class yet.

Arsenal are winning games and sit top of the league so credit to them at this point but it is still far too early in the season to know exactly how things will pan out. A lot of people were having them down as favourites to finish 3rd last season then they ended up 5th. Liverpool were 5 points ahead of Man City after 14 games in the 20/21 season then Man City ended up finishing 17 points ahead of them.

Chelsea & Spurs are both in the last 16 of the CL so they aren't terribly poor but certainly work to be done. Just need to look at Kulusevski's impact on the weekend to see how much of a miss he has been for Spurs. Romero has been out for a while which has shown how poor the likes kf Eric Dier & Emerson Royal are, I expect Conte will go and upgrade in these positions in the upcoming Window.

Once Chelsea have James, Chilwell, Fofana & ****e back to full fitness I'm sure they will also be winning most weeks with Potter adding a couple more players in January.

Man Utd have evidently improved on last season beating Liverpool, Spurs & Arsenal in the process.

A long way to go this season in the PL just as much as the SPFL.

Don't think anybody abused you. Just shared that their opinion is different to yours. It sometimes gets to the point where any negative opinion of Arsenal gets you jumping to their defence even after bottling top four last season. IIRC you don't support them which I will believe as it would be weird to lie about something like that.

I don't support them. I support Hibernian. I'm a Hibernian season ticket holder. I've seen Arsenal play once, against Hibernian.

You'll need to find me jumping to their defence when they missed out on top 4. I really wasn't that bothered.

Fair point. But you also said Arsenal had a great squad when they finished 8th, their worst finishing position in almost 20 years. And they finished 8th 2 years running. Really good team now though, and great to watch too. The EPL needs a strong Arsenal team IMO.

I never saw this coming, my lad goes regularly to the Emerites with his missus. He also never saw this coming either. :greengrin

I am happy they are doing so well, i used to go watch them midweek at the old Highbury when i lived in St Albans, well London Colney really.

And we'd often go down to their training centre and watch them train, i think the've bought more land and have sold the original site to Watford now?

Hopfully i'm wrong and Arsenal do carry on as they are, if only for my lad, but he's still scared Spurs will catch them over the remainder of the season.

Plenty to play for like you say, and I could still easily see arsenal falling away to 4th/5th if they have a couple key injuries.

But there was posters saying that no arsenal player except possibly Tierney or odegaard would get near the spurs starting XI. As if partey, white, saliba, saka were significantly worse than hjolberg, Emerson, dier, kulusevski etc.
