5-0. Another brilliant goal.

Arsenal's first 11 is as good as anyone's. Just keeping them fit.

They always seem to get injuries to two or three key players towards the business end of the season sadly. Still reckon they’d have won the league last season if Saliba hadn’t been injured.

Been far far more rotation this season, so hopefully avoid that. Saliba is so good, absolutely world class, that he is so tough to replace if anything happened.

One thing I noticed from the Arsenal game was that most of the time the keeper was punting the ball right up the park, none of the playing from the back that is the fashion now. Also Arsenal were quite happy to let Lens have possession but managed to score most goals from breakaways.

Arsenal signed Havertz partly so they could go longer. They still play out plenty. Raya is excellent at both.

Only a couple of unexpected freak results tonight would stop the horrible team from Glasgow progressing into the last 16 of the Europa League. Best we can hope for, I think, is a poor display and result from them. Can’t see the Cypriots spoiling their party, unfortunately.

Their director of football got caught sexually hareasing staff.

His strategy was, I'm a former famous footballer, I'll just ask folk to give me recommendations, so when he got the sack, ajax had zero scouting network.

Then he got hired by royal antwerp and won them the double, but embarrassed them in Europe.

You are not wrong..........however there is another part to that equation which is - how much did they spend to get that bonus?

Both Hearts and Aberdeen have spent huge amounts (compared to us) for similar outcomes.

Having said all that, I wouldnt turn my nose up at another £3m or so just for getting in those Groups.

I suppose it depends how you define similar outcomes. They've both had group stage European football and all that brings in terms revenue and life time experiences for fans.

Imagine Hibs playing Eintracht Frankfurt or Fiorentina away? Only winning the Scottish cup would top that for me as. Hibs fan.

Yeah I don't really get this either. I can visit those cities anytime. Seeing hibs annihilated like we were by villa isn't exactly an experience I enjoy. Especially when we're losing to teams we would likely have beaten in the 60s and 70s.

I'm with JimBHIbees. Seeing hibs win a trophy, any trophy, tops a glamorous away trip. Ideally we would do both.

Plus, if we had taken a leaf out their book and just kept the old terraces with benches and seats bolted to it and the old main stand and charge premium prices for the pleasure of sitting in it , we could have saved millions to invest in the team.

The Villa tie was obviously already over before we got there so that definitely took the shine off it.

Visiting a city as a tourist wouldn't be the same as going away to watch Hibs. I could visit Copenhagen anytime, but it wouldn't be anything like going to watch Hibs play Brondby.

Depending on the draw it's likely a big away day at a huge club with a meaningful game if it's a group stage game, being in Frankfurt or Florence with thousands of Hibs fans before the game would be absolutely amazing. Certainly something that would live with everyone who was there for their life.

I think for the club overall cups are certainly better. Definitely obviously in terms of legacy and trophy haul.

If, I know it's a big if, but for instance it we were to beat Frankfurt away from home in a meaningful game in Europe, the feeling for the fans (or for myself atleast) at the game would trump winning the league cup against anyone apart from Hearts.

A few rumours but it's most likely to do with question marks over an "emergency loan". They got a goalkeeper in on an emergency loan who ended up playing for them for a couple of months. I think all goalkeepers at a club need to be unavailable for the emergency loan to be allowed to play and it has been suggested that they've maybe not been entirely honest about the availability of their registered players in order to allow them to continue to play the emergency loan player.

May yet prove to be something else though, even their own fans are a bit baffled.

Was at York ground earlier this year. Miles out the town and not much round it unless you like bowling.

Their old ground near centre much more convenient.

I've been to a few English grounds and the ones in the city are just miles better. I lived in Newcastle for a year and loved walking to St James Park with all the fans, numbers growing as you got closer to the ground.

I've also been to grounds like Stoke and Bolton's that you really need to drive to

The hertz player was a mile offside before the incident - and was correctly called up for it. How does that work then - should the yellow card that was issued to the Killie keeper be rescinded?

He could've still been sent off for serious foul play

They have hung on pretty easily unfortunately. Shankland is so important for them. Pretty much anything decent they do comes from good play from the giant foreheaded one. Who are the imposters, though?

Moyes and Ole I guess?

Van Gaal, Mourinho and ten Hag have achieved far more in the game than Howe.

Tend to agree you have got to assume that United is a pretty toxic environment probably significantly down to the ownership. He number of managers and very expensively bought players still on the payroll. I mean Martial is still starting games and genuinely think I covered more distance walking to the fridge to get a beer yesterday than he did last night at Newcastle. :greengrin

Rodri with the inevitable yellow card, good player but too many yellows.

Every chance. A very good side.

He is like the best in the world at his position. I don't think a few yellows are an issue.

It is when he misses the next game due to suspension after racking up all those yellows , City lost 3 games on the trot when Rodri was suspended a few weeks back

Crazy decision by referee to pull back play for a foul on Haaland once Graelish was through on goal. Pleasing to see 😂
