Everton setting out their game plan early! Waste as much time as possible as often as possible!

they’re in a desperate situation. They’ll have to waste time, defend, fight, kick, hack and anything else to get a result here

Aldo

What do you want them to do? Liverpool are a fabulous team and Everton are struggling to avoid relegation. They're not going to just let Liverpool play and admire them. Any way cmon the toffees!!!

£500 million worth of talent (less) players so your probably right nit a lot.

I just want to see Pickfords face when he concedes

There's more than 1 way to get a result, yes it's not nice to watch but they'll hardly beat them playing football.

Liverpool will win this but Everton were cheated.

Liked the look of Gordon in the games against Man U earlier this season but the dive in the first half has put me off him. If youngsters have the balls to dive when they break into the first then I can’t imagine how much of it goes on in youth games. Horrible side of the game that’s just becoming accepted.

I see a lot of people saying it's sad online etc. No it's not they deserve to go down as not been good enough.

The conference is same standard as league 2 now anyway so they should increase promotion to 3 teams.

Sky money only goes down to league 2 which is why it will never happen as teams won't vote for it.

Strange one

The fans invaded the pitch with 15 minutes to go 1-2 down at home to Salford to start a sit down protest against the owner

The fans were told the game had been abandoned and the pitch was eventually cleared

Two hours later the remainder of the game was played out behind closed doors the score remained at 1-2

Christian Doidge’s old club Forest Green were promoted to League One

I didn't say I was pleased but they deserved it. I don't really care either to be fair.

You see it all the time from clubs losing their football league status after xxx amount of years. Usually so unfair etc. They over spend and usually deserve to go down was the point I'm making.

Imagine if Bradford and Bolton went down next year, the same people will be saying it's so unfair, ex premiership teams falling so far etc. Well win more games, spend wiser and it won't happen.

Yeah mad, I always remember hearing about them as a kid, never one of the big huge teams in my time but I remember when I was like 6 they got to the league cup final with Joe Royle in charge of them. They got promoted to the old English top tier and survived the next season I was readiing saying they were one of the founding teams of what they now call the Premier League. Sure they got to an FA cup final not long after that but until all this I just thought they were hanging around in League one or something.

Remember my Grandad saying we sold one of the famous 5 to them, Johnstone I think. We signed Chris Killen from them too, he was ****ing brilliant for us, **** knows how he could'nt find the net at Celtic really. Career nosedived and he ended up in China.

When I was reading the thing I was more shocked it was Salford they were playing. I thought they were already in League one now.

Massive games this weekend in the EPL relegation battle with Burnley away to Watford on Saturday followed by Everton v Chelsea on the Sunday. If Burnley get anything from this game then it heaps even more pressure on Lampard and co to get a result.

Even with a game in hand goal difference isn’t in their favour either!

Of course.

The general consensus after the pen Rocky gave away at Pittodrie though was that as it hit his knee and then his hand it wasn’t a penalty.

This one I’d imagine is though because his arm is in an unnatural position.

Interesting night in League One in England as everybody continues to try to not win that league.

Wigan chuck away a 2 goal lead in the last half hour to lose 3-2 at Portsmouth, Sunderland equalise late on to stop Rotherham from getting all 3 points, Sheffield Wednesday come from behind to win 3-2.

Plenty to play for this weekend with the title, promotion, play off places and relegation all up for grabs.

I take a bit of an interest in keepers, and Handanovics got the 2nd best save percentage in série a, only behind Maignan, who was a force of nature with Lille in their title win and has taken that across to Milan.

There’s something quite different by and large about English football and Scottish . They don’t care as much as we do . If they get beat 1 nil, most teams get a polite applause as they leave the park . There isn’t the intensity of feelings that a normal Scottish game has ..there are a few exceptions , but not many ..it’s nowhere near as important to them as it is to many Scottish fans

The Man City stadium was pish last night.

Their first ever Champions League semi (I think anyway?) and a victory over Real Madrid in one of the best games of football you’re likely to see and there was folk standing politely applauding when the goals went in.

With Liverpool I’m not sure if it’s because they’ve been spoiled in recent years but the atmosphere really wasn’t all that exciting tonight (at least through the tv anyway) considering what’s at stake.

I went to Spurs V Man City at Wembley a few years ago when Spurs were playing there. It was brutal. Don’t think anybody within earshot of me was actually a fan of either team (including me so I’m aware I’m part of the problem :greengrin)

Doesnt change the point you were making, which was spot on. Citys crowds just seem to watch, not contribute.

I remember when they were in the 2nd and even 3rd tier in the 90s, they played at St James Park, I was in the Gallowgate and they were absolutely fantastic, took a huge noisy away support and were well respected for their loyalty in hard times. Strange how things change.

Liverpool are a great example in recent years of sticking to a manager and his style of play, getting rid of the deadwood and replacing them with players who fit into the system. Klopp is phenomenal, they are now reaping the rewards of going a few years without success after buying into his plan.

Seem to get better every season, last season obviously tainted by the injuries suffered but they still finished 3rd. Konate, Tsimikas and Diaz have been three very good signings who slot right in and offer depth they were lacking. Spoilt with the choices of Jota and Firmino too.

Probably, he’s at one of the best clubs in the world right now so can’t see any reason to leave other than for more money.

If Liverpool pay him what he wants, will that probably lead to Mane requesting more money? I’ve always felt that PSG may go for one of them if Mbappe moves on.

Man 0 Chelsea 0 HT.

Man u celebrating being level in an half empty old trafford. Chelsea well on top should be 0-2/3 but can't finish.

WFT are Leipzig thinking, playing at such a slow tempo? They aren't stretching Sevco.

I'm not impressed at all by Leipzig, Rangers will be confident of going through if they get a draw tonight.

Yes. Leipzig are playing lethargic football; they need to insert some energy into their game.

Look at the state of that away end, barely a tooth between them. It looks like a gurners convention.
