If it’s come off his arm it’s deliberate. No doubt about it. He literally plays the ball.

100%?

he implied that a 6 times European Cup winning club isn’t a proper club. Presumably you agree with that?
and there was nothing small about Ferguson’s budget at United either.

[QUOTE=The Modfather;6856753]Man City are some team and have been for years. Wonder how prime Fergie would cope with the challenge of Pep. As good as Wenger and Mourinho’s teams were not sure they are at the level of Man City. Certainly not as consistent over as long a period anyway.

Fergie always adapted to new challenges but not sure he could best Pep’s Man City in the long term.[/QUOTE

leicester concede at a corner again though it seemed to come of dawsons arm. was looking on the transfermarket site and soyoncu is rated at 40.5 million and our own ryan is rated at 900 thousand i think i must be missing something surely there is never 38 million odds a difference.

Exactly my argument against VAR. Whether it’s a handball or not is debatable. But VAR is a cop out. The ref clearly couldn’t see it, so saying they’re sticking with the on field decision is ridiculous. There was no decision. Get the ref over to decide for himself where he can see the incident.

Studio are also right, all well and good saying it’s the T-shirt line but surely if any of the ball touches the arm it’s still a handball?

impossible to say for sure but there are clues in the way Peps Barca team outclassed fergies united in the 2009 and 2011 CL finals. United were schooled in both and were lucky not to get two hammerings.

albeit, those united teams weren’t quite at the level of the 2008 Ronaldo/Rooney/Tevez vintage

I think the league is a higher standard than at any other point in Fergie’s time. Man City have won the title in 3 of the last 4 seasons. Of which in that time the title winners have got 100, 99 & 98 points with city following up 100 points with 99 the next season. Only Mourinho’s Chelsea in 04/05 got close with 95 and then 91.

There’s a debate to be had about Wengers invincibles, Mourinho’s 04/05 team and Fergie’s sheer relentless success, but not sure any of their teams could keep pace, domestically, with Pep’s City team. Maybe over a season but probably not over the 3/4/5 year period Guardiola has maintained this level.

This website is quite interesting showing points of the winners and PPG etc. https://www.myfootballfacts.com/premier-league-winners/

If one team is dominating the league as City are doing is it not truer to say that they are of a higher standard but the league is at a lower standard than before because of the poor level of competition.

It’s helped Spanish teams get players previously.

Them winning will hopefully have an adverse affect on their Scottish cup tie. Only really interested in Hibs - coefficient will be improved and greater chance of winning the cup the deeper they go, and all the funnier when they get their likely scudding when it comes.

Not sure I buy that at all. I might be wrong but I imagine they would be delighted to win the Europa League. They might still have a chance at Bundesliga however 6 points and much worse goal difference is a big ask to make up on Bayern. They will be kicking themselves if they get put out by Rangers. The huns would rightly be proud of this one.

Oh, no doubt. Dortmund would be delighted to win it, but its a huge ask this year. Barcelona, Napoli, Sevilla, Atalanta, Lazio and Sociedad are all very good sides. With their best player injured, I think tonight was there for Rangers to go and get them.

Haaland had no choice, he signed a contract and Dortmund held him to it. His release clause is this coming summer. He is 21, I don't think its going to ruin his career.

Haaland has bigger problems than where he is playing this season, he is racking up a lot of injury problems.

Surprised Hauge has made so many appearances for them and is only 20 yet doesn’t seem to have come with the fan fair of Melkerson.

After seeing Bodo here I’d suggest anyone who has been in and around their team at such a young age must have absolutely massive potential.

Their defence in general has been poor, it's their attacking play that wins them games, nullify the attack and you have a chance.

I signed Solbakken in my football manager game a couple of years ago and he was oustanding, shame we can't sign these types players in real life, out of our wage bracket.
