Dan James is pretty hopeless eh?
Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
He reminds me a little bit of Martin Boyle around 2015.
Loads of pace but he has very little end product.
It's like his legs are too quick for his brain.

Austria were the better team imo but Wales have the better player.
Wish Scotland had a Bale.
Austria have a very good team. Wales are solid defensively, dangerous on the counter and seem to really take advantage of playing at home with the atmosphere they create (17 games unbeaten).
They are lucky that the final isn’t next week because Bale and Ramsey particularly looked like they would have struggled with another big game so soon.
There will be some atmosphere in Cardiff for the final, Wales got to be favourites.

Apparently after Craig Gordon gave away the penalty tonight the SFA are looking to add a further match to Ryan Porteous' ban as punishment.

Personally thought Austria were poor. Didn't create much beyond a great early chance thought both Alaba and Arnautovic were poor and got lucky deflected goal otherwise they were never scoring. Bale goal were superb.

Think that pen could stop us getting second pot in Euro draw.
I read this elsewhere -
The World Cup seeding is already sorted, and the Euros seeding is based entirely on Nations League position.
World ranking won't come into play until the WC 2026 qualifiers, by which point tonight's result is unlikely to have much impact.

Ok but does games like last night not contribute to the nations league position. Not sure to be honest.

Slight edit to my last post as we weren't actually promoted from League C last time round, we got promoted from League C after the first edition in 2018/19 but the positioning in the Nations League depends on your performance in each edition as you get promoted or relegated or stay in the same League for next time.
Well can we get a Martin Buchan cross and a King Kenny headed goal then?

No that was when they played in Oceania which they left a few years ago.
They now play in Asia so they will play the 3rd place team from group B of the Asian qualifiers (either UAE or Iraq).

I actually thought there was a rugby international or something similar on at murrayfield tonight until i read this thread. Had seen lots of folk with scotland gear on when leaving work earlier. It does stick in the throat a little , that we made sure our stadium had all the correct run off areas and warm up areas , apparently to attract these type of matches .. Yet that matchbox gets these fixtures frequently , They will be making decent money each time these games are played there

Despite the low regard us Hibbies hold KT in these days, for past sins, he’s done well in his first managerial post, albeit with a well-heeled, financially advantaged club. I am assured by someone ITK, whose opinions I trust, that he is still a Hibby at heart. :dunno:

We looked a much poorer team in midfield with Ferguson in for Gilmour. Ferguson was very poor and fouled constantly. Thought Adams was decent, and we were weakened when he was replaced by Dykes.
Our problem tonight was we were poor out of possession. We didn't see much of the ball, but were decent enough on the occasions we had it and scored a cracking 2nd goal.

Wasn't aware of that - I don't follow the Championship and I just heard Crocker saying he hadn't played for 6 weeks when he came on.
I'm not stubbornly in the 'not Dykes' camp, for what it's worth - I was happy when he got called up and he kept Clarke in a job for the first few games - the boy is a talented footballer, but he definitely didn't do much of anything last night.

Ferguson's imo is miles off an international player. Gilmour and McGregor are big misses when not there.

Away. Ryan Jack is superb. Gutting he plays for Rangers but very talented. One of Scotland’s best players until he was substituted. He’ll start in the play off.
