Makes Aberdeen now easily the biggest game of the season as I can’t see Celtic not bothering to show up to pick up the last of the three trophies they bought, and have put in a pre purchase order for again next season.

Can’t feel anything for the final tbh, apart from, if we have done our bit and finish third, then hope aberdeen lose. Apart from that, can be a good or a rubbish game for me now, the next five for us are the only games I’ll enjoy (hopefully !)

Reminds me of the final in 2013 (?) when we got utterly scudded by Celtic. Celtic end was relatively empty by the time they lifted the trophy and remember thinking "We ever win that thing, you're not getting us out the ground for love nor money"

Are they perhaps the world's most spoiled fanbase? Never faced any sort of adversity in their existence and as soon as a big decision goes against them, they throw the toys out of the pram.

I'll never forget them beating us in a league cup semi final a number of years ago, they won 4-2 or 5-2 not sure, but their celebrations at reaching the final were muted to say the least. The most half arsed YNWA I've ever heard.

Every day I'm grateful to support a team where winning things actually still really matters (though I obviously wish it was a wee bit more frequent!)

They will NEVER experience anything near what we did on 21.05.2016. Celtic fans will try kid you (and themselves) that its as sepcial and its just jealousy etc etc and yea maybe there is a bit of jealously at not winning a trophy at least once a season EVERY season i'm not gonna lie but it must just become so mundane.

Winning a cup to them is like "ah yay very good now up the road for tea". Compare that to the utter madness, emotion and sheer high of our cup win.

There are moves afoot to bring the Championship dual-ownership rules into line with the PL, which would remove the problem. However, the vote on that isn't likely to take place until after the summer, and it's not certain it will pass.

So, if Leeds don't get promoted, the RFC deal might be in limbo for a while.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for a Championship club to establish themselves in the EPL.

Leeds will need a significant upgrade throughout their side to stay up next season. What is in their favour is that they appear a fair bit better, in an attacking sense, than the other Championship clubs so will likely finish above at least the other promoted two. Can see them targeting Wolves and maybe West Ham. And hoping for a drop off in the likes of Crystal Palace and Fulham, who may lose some of their better players.

Will have to start well, cos they don't want to start sacking managers, which won't end well.

They haven’t lost more than one goal in any game in the league all season meaning they kept 29 clean sheets… must be close to some sort of record possibly. Remarkable achievement.

It's come to the stage now, that anyone who people disagree with on some points are insulted by one put down or another.

Whatever happened to disagreeing and then moving on.

Dont get me wrong, some folk like Trump deserve everything he gets, but folk who've just played football and commented on it are allowed an opinion, like the rest of us.

In what way would you say he's brave? With a £1.5 million salary behind him he's not really likely to fall far for saying something out of turn. Plus he'll walk into further highly lucrative roles once he leaves MOTD. I don't have an issue with his salary, but his accompanying man of the people schtick grates on the nerves.

I've just never warmed to the guy. Possibly rooted in that time he scored a hat-trick for England to the soundtrack of John Motson (or possibly Barry Davies) shouting 'Linekaaa!' and Jimmy Hill in the background crowing 'Oh ho ho!'.

I’d say putting that kind of salary on the line by expressing your views is very brave.
There’s no guarantee he would replicate that anywhere else particularly if he’s left his current employment basically for his those very views at a time where employers are wary of being seen to

If everyone stayed in their lane I think it would be very dull and when people I find interesting and like for their talents - I think GL is a very talented footballer who has gone on to be a very talented pundit - I want to know more about them and their take on other things.

Sometimes it's disappointing and I'm happy to leave them where they are - there's a Youtube fitness influencer who I wish I'd never listened to on other things - but for someone like Linekar I find his views interesting. He was on James O'brians Podcast and was very good to listen to on other areas of life.

I rarely/never gamble but I had a few quid in my Bet365 account so stuck £2 on Thistle at half time when they were down to 10.
They were holding out so odds of 12/1 looked decent.
Stick the £2 on and was watching the cash out option drop as the time marched on.
Even at the Falkirk red the cash-out was slowly ticking down to zero.
90+6, throw in to Falkirk I cashed out at 46p. By the time I hit the "confirm", Thistle scored their second 🫣

90+6, throw in to Falkirk I cashed out at 46p. By the time I hit the "confirm", Thistle scored their second 🫣
Betting is for mugs 🙄

You staked £2 and cashed out at 46p, wow?

I don't think gambling is for you. Haha.
It's not something I regularly do, been playing with free money over the last couple of weeks when Hibs beat Rangers. Put £10 on to win at 21/4 and cashed out for £51.14 when the 2nd went in.

46p cash out is wild haha
At the time, I was thinking it was £1.54 lost rather than £2. When Falkirk got the throw in at the end I thought that was game over.

How much do you need 46p?
I absolutely don't, but as above, thought the game was as finished as it could be. I was wrong 🙄

Not sure if you know but with Bet365 they auto pay out when a team go 2 up(hibs at ibrox) as long as the bet was put on before the game:aok: just for future reference. Only applies to certain leagues though, so just make sure.

I'm gutted.
I rarely/never gamble but I had a few quid in my Bet365 account so stuck £2 on Thistle at half time when they were down to 10.
They were holding out so odds of 12/1 looked decent.
Stick the £2 on and was watching the cash out option drop as the time marched on.

If you cannot afford to lose your stake you cannot afford to bet

Never cash out it is the Bookies button

Never bet on Hibs it always goes pear shaped

But they will have to replace after 1 season - or go bust again paying for it..

With Grass Livi would be good close trip.... but Falkirk likewise as its artificial too (better version than Livi but an advantage they have used as well)

It’s a bit like when the OF are playing one another when you have to choose the lesser evil … none too keen on Livy but really dislike Falkirk , horrible club . I would have been for most championships clubs over Falkirk…

Speaking of the OF hopefully things start off in the right direction with a Celtic win … 12:30 Sky's Sports Football .

It was a dramatic finish to the game but I don't understand the hatred for Falkirk. I think they'd bring much more to the Premiership overall than Livingston.

How did Megwa play, and does he look like he's anywhere near ready to make the step up with us?

Thought he was a standout when I saw him play a number of times for Airdrie but I've been less impressed by what I've seen of him at Thistle. He did OK again last night though.

Just looking at Falkirk's recent poor run. 88th minute goal conceded to Livi, 90th minute equaliser conceded at Ayr, 3 goals conceded after the 88th minute against raith rovers and a 97th minute goal conceded last night.

They'll probably just about stumble over the finishing line due to their goal difference but it looks like their bottle has gone.

Me too. They're Scotland's version of MK Dons. Offer nothing. I'd happily have them beat Hearts in the playoffs though.

Falkirk also have an artificial pitch. But it’s way better than Livi and Killie.

Yup, only tie I'd support Livi in is against Hearts.

They'd do Scottish football a great service if they ceased to exist. Only people complaining would be the OF fans they let fill three quarters of their stadium.

I'm fairly sure the livi fans would be complaining too.

If they hadn't had to build a 10,000 seater stadium that they never needed, then they wouldn't need an astro pitch to cut costs and increase revenue.

Sam Dalby straight red would be grand. Their entire gameplay is defend strongly and hope Dalby scores. They'd not pick another point up if he missed the games.

While it has got to point that it is used / happening for almost any person / occasion and needs to be re-thought - I don't think a blanket 'not for non-football folk' is right either

Remember Dunblane? while nothing to do with football - football is far less important than many things in life and being cognisant / respectful of that is good
