Is this a new rumour or more of a regurgitation of the rumour from earlier?

From all the titbits going around it looks like Rangers wanted a loan swap but Hibs not interested, people saying Docherty's wages may be a problem and some on here saying Flo is on more, so shouldn't be a problem.
This is all dependent on Docherty agreeing a move, if he's been told he's not in Gerrard's plans, that might help.

Certainly not a rumour as such, (well I suppose it could be one)..... notice from Instagram Rherras Faycal flew into Edinburgh airport today.
Signing for one of the local clubs maybe? I imagine Livingston would be the most likely club for him but then, he might have been at Hearts when Ross was there?
Edit- just noticed he’s been released by Qarabeg so every chance he is across here to sign for someone in the area.

Really hope we get Docherty in permanently, a really good player with bags of potential.
I think rangers will be trying to get rid of a fair amount of their squad players which could be of interest

I actually thought he looked decent enough when he played, really odd one though and is similar to a lot of signings we made at the time that came in, played 2-3 games and left.
Cant see us being after him.
Was he at Hearts with Neilson? I see he has removed any Hibs posts from his insta, stick on to sign for them

He played for Qarabeg last season which is a decent standard I think.
I doubt it’ll be for us either but it certainly won’t be Hearts as he burnt his bridges with them when he joined us and tweeted a few things supporting us in derbies since.
Suspect it’ll be a Livingston or a St Mirren, someone like that. Only reason that it ‘could’ be us would be if Ross was at Hearts at the same time he was there, can’t see it though.

Im hearing rumours of a permanent swap deal with Kamberi and DochertyThought Docherty was really good when he first played for us then seemed to loose his way . To be fair the team kind of lost its way late on in the season.
I don't see this happening i know there's talk but i think kamberi will move elsewhere.

Mood is moving from “I’m sure everything is in hand” to “probably should be signing some players about now”. I’m not all that interested in just bringing back former loan players either. Think we should be looking to start afresh.

Im the same mate, the season starts in 3 weeks time and we’re quite a bit weaker than how we ended last season.
My main positive is that I can see Newell being one of the main centre mids and making it his own. His injury came at a time he was coming into his stride, in hopefully he can replicate and improve this season in a more central role.

Above all else, Brandon Barker really isn't that good a footballer. A 100m sprinter maybe but soon as he has to pass the ball or take a shot at goal he's absolutely flummoxed.

Jack Fitzwater who was in Edinburgh has signed for Livingston so there was some truth in it
Livingston also sign Matej Poplatnik
Fitzwater might do okay but Poplatnic, at 27 years of age, has no pedigree at all so expecting him to crash and burn although he does take a fair penalty.
Vaz Te and Vela with the obvious big Mixu.
Missing the more obvious Big Doidge, shirley.
And I'll throw Jonathan Grounds into the mix.

It’s no coincidence that we played better when Newell was in the side. I like the idea of having someone who can carry the ball in the centre as well. We were often pretty slow and turgid in the centre of the park last year. Scotty looked fatigued, Omeonga didn’t look fit, hopefully the boys that are still here are like coiled springs waiting for the season to start and are ready to prove a point.

I wouldn’t have remembered Grounds if you gave me a million quid.
The full(ish) list is: Chic Charnley, Andy Walker, Mixu Paatelainen, Filipe Morais, Stephen Dobbie, Clayton Donaldson, Jonathan Grounds, Ricardo Vaz Te, Adam Bogdan, Josh Vela, Christian Doidge and soon to be Eoin Doyle. Honourable mentions to Alan Stubbs for playing for Bolton and managing Hibs and Neil Lennon for managing both.

Since Jack Ross came in our record in the league was better than theirs.

Obviously with the consultation period re staff wages not up yet or announced that will likely to have an impact on announcing signings. Pretty sure there will be a lot going on in the background.

How happy would people be if our only business this window was getting Docherty in permanent (swap for Kamberi), Nisbet, Gogic and Wright?
I'm not in the know whatsoever so knowing my luck, we'll only probably sign one of the above! But just keen to find out how successful a window people would think that would be.

I’d be happy. Gives us what we need in midfield, support up front and another winger with pace to support what we have. We probably need more but given the current climate we’d get by, support from the younger players required too.

I'd be happy with that definitely. But only on the proviso that if we move on Tom James for example, we sign another right back like Naismith. And if Boyle goes we're able to bring in another pacey wide man.

I'd be very happy with that in the circumstances. Still would have concerns about our aging defence but with football finances the way they are rebuilding the back line may well have to wait another year.
FWIW I just can't see us paying a fee this month summer, and certainly not the sums Dunfermline are rumoured to be looking for.

Obviously not to be taken as gospel coming from the font of knowledge that is Hearts fans but they seem very convinced Nisbet is going to them. Makes sense on one hand - Neilson bid for him at United and they have the money. Other hand, playing next season in the pee wee leagues instead of with the big guns

I'm not sure. It absolutely shouldn't be a big difference but this Hearts team are an embarrassment and I think they will throw silly money around now to undo the terrible injustice they've supposedly faced.
In particular I think the owners, manager and general structure of the club are so poor that getting the fans onside is priority. And what better way to appeal to the petty nature of their fans than securing a well publicised Hibs target?

Strange one by Airdrie
Diamonds win race to sign Robert
July 9, 2020
The Diamonds have landed a sensational transfer coup by securing the signature of French midfielder Thomas Robert amid interest from top-flight clubs around Europe.
The 19-year-old can play on either wing or behind the strikers, and joins Airdrie from Montpellier - the club where his father, Newcastle United and France legend Laurent Robert, began his stellar career.
The French side were keen to keep Robert, but the player rejected the offer of a four-year deal, instead seeking guaranteed first-team action. Offers from Ligue 1 and Bundesliga clubs followed, but Thomas has chosen to follow in his father’s footsteps with a move to the United Kingdom and we are delighted that he has rejected interest from high-profile suitors in the Scottish Premiership and English Premier League to begin his time on these shores at the Penny Cars Stadium.
Thomas told airdriefc.com: “I’m very happy to sign for Airdrie, it’s a club with a good structure and a good stadium.
“I think this is a good opportunity for me to come to the UK and play first-team football.
“When I met with the people at the club I got a good feeling from them - and for this reason I think it will be a good platform for me to come and show my abilities in a competitive league.
“I can’t wait to get started!”
And Director of Football Stuart Millar said: “We are delighted to acquire the services of such a talented young player. Thomas could have joined any club in Europe but showed a desire to continue his football education at Airdrieonians as part of his longer-term plan of joining a top club in the UK - a decision we are naturally thrilled about.
“Thomas will excite our fans with his pace and dribbling ability, although we must allow him time to settle in a new country.
“We are very grateful to his representatives for entrusting our club with such a gifted young player.”
Needless to say, everyone at the club is excited at the prospect of seeing Thomas wearing the Diamond, and we are delighted to welcome him to the club. Bienvenue à les Diamants, Thomas!

That sounds absolutely mad, but fair play to the guy for prioritising first team opportunities over money or status. Will be interesting to see how he fairs.

Willie McKay and his son are involved so there will be some dodgy angle to this somewhere.

30 days or less won't charge a single thing.
I have been through a consultation process recently where redundancy was on the cards, nothing can be announced until after the 30 day period has ended.
I was offered another job within the company on day 2 and was ready to sign up on it on day 4 but wasn't allowed to as others still had to undergo the process.
At the end of 30 days I expect an amount of redundancies to be announced by the club.
After that we will get signing announcements within a few days I would expect.

As whilst it's been reported that Aberdeen players have agreed to a wage cut, don't think it's been confirmed anywhere. And they were a day or two after us to announce they were holding talks.

The wage reduction of first team players has rumbled on far to long. This needs sorted Asap.

Pretty much the qualities I like to see in a striker. Strong, fast, opportunistic and very calm when making his shot. I also like his starting position as more often than not he is central. Too many CFs these days drift wide where there is far less chance of scoring. Could be a cracking buy and looks like someone who could work very well off Doidge

I think people are overplaying that aspect. The playing staff are very unlikely to be involved in this aspect as they are on fixed contracts. They will have been engaged more in voluntary discussions or offers being made to release the contracts. I’m no employment expert but I don’t think our consultation with certain employees and signing players are linked.

So Nisbet is a cross between Durie, O’Connor and Riordan. Can he track back though.......'
Add a pinch of Alan Gordon and a wee dash of Jimmy O'Rourke and we have a player !!:greengrin
Keep them coming Hibs !!
Thanks.
We will either wait until then or it's all done and agreed internally but wont announce the outcome of consultation until next week
I don't think that will be the case frankly.

Nesbit goals for Raith and Dunfermline:
https://youtu.be/tUSXyZWtMUE
https://youtu.be/sp9RdkXALAw
Other than the last goal on the Raith Rovers reel there is very little on it to enthuse about. Horrific defending. However, there is a definite improvement on the Dunfermline footage so hoping that at 23 he has a bit more improvement in him and can do his thing in the top league for a Top 6 team.
Hibs were willing to pay £400k for him 6 months ago which I thought was a bit much. I rated him at £250k and that appears what we will pay now.
If we bring in Nesbit, Wright, Gogic and Docherty for Kamberi we have done well although i'm not sold on Wright given his serious injury history. Gogic and Docherty would be no risk signings. you know exactly what you will get from both. A robust pair and we could do with a bit of that in the midfield.

Shankland 24 goals and 3 assists with 1 goal every 96 minutes. This in a team that topped the league
Nisbet 18 goals and 3 assists with 1 goal every 114 minutes
Shankland got a scotland cap on the back of this and was rated at how much?
Great point and stats
Plus Shankland in that Dundee Utd teams compared to Nisbet in that Pars side
Sky sports reporting fee for Nisbet agreed between the clubs.

I wonder if we are still actively trying for Omeonga, they said they would try to get him back. I think he will sign a pre-contract agreement in January. It wouldn't surprise me if he turned up again even if it's a loan

I agree that the defending on the Raith reel was was pretty ropey but nevertheless on both reels I was impressed with his calmness and confidence in taking the chances presented to him. These are two excellent traits for a top class striker and he appears to have a bit of a swagger about him which we haven’t seen since the days of Jason C and there is no doubt that swagger can rub off on the rest of the team.
I sincerely hope the we are successful in signing him up.

Nisbet is a tremendous signing by Hibs
Don't know much about him, other than I think he was let go by Partick (and then scored 4 against them in one game last season). But I asked a Pars pal earlier and he said - I quote- "FFS, he’s not going to Hibs is he? He’s our best player by a mile and was scoring for fun in a woeful team last season!!"
So, sounds hopeful?

Nisbet seems to like cutting in from the left to finish with his right. Wonder if we could play two up top him on the left and Doidge on the right?
---------------------Nisbet--------Doidge------------------------
Newell--------Allan------(Docherty?)----Boyle/Wright
-------------------------------Gogic-----------------------------------
------Hanlon----Jackson/Porteous----McGinn
----------------------------Marciano--------------------------------
I'd be very happy with that at first glance. However it highlights to me that if possible we could really do with another option out wide left to let Newell play central. Horgan just doesn't cut the mustard.
Maybe we could use Stevenson as a more defensive minded LWB, however we all know that limits us big time going forward.

Still not totally sure. Gogic as a DM is more important to protect 2 CH's in a back 4, but I don't think I'm convinced we have the attacking fullbacks to play the diamond. Gogic should probably surplus to requirements with a back 3, and I'm not sure Stevenson is the solution at LWB in a 352. Not sure how we fit Nisbet in if we go 1 up front with wide men.
We're close to having a great team but I'm struggling a bit to fit them all in.
Options on the bench to change things up though, which is good.
They'd be three signings I'd be very happy with.
