Last night only furthers my opinion that the Jets are the Hibs of the NFL.

I always associated the 49ers with Man U. Most comparisons dont work for various reasons. Raiders are definitely Millwall though.

He's not really set the heather on fire with Seattle this season, but they don't exactly have any receivers capable of what Harvin is capable. It does seem a strange one.

Absolutely stunned. We gave up a 1st 3rd and 7th round pick for Harvin, paid him loads of money. So then after playing about 6 games for us we give him to the Jets for one 'conditional pick' (probably a mid rounder) in return for one of the most dynamic playmakers in the league.

Local Seattle radio saying he had a bad attitude and hadnt been practicing with the team. But still, its like we're giving him away for free! The coaches have just won a superbowl so they deserve some respect I suppose, but I just don't know what they're doing.

Seahawks net posters have split into happy clappers and bedwetters camps and are fighting amongst themselves :hilarious Sounds familiar?

What about long term? Take it he's over his injury problems? Really don't get this move at all. No doubt he's a quality player but that being the case:

1) Why are they letting him go for what basically amounts to a free?
2) Why sign for us. Has he not seen us play. We are Tom Kite. Surely there's better teams out there who would take him?
3) Where does he fit into our plans? We've got Geno Smith at QB ffs. Our backs aint the greatest but given the events of the other night, you'd think we'd be sticking with the running game. He is gonna want targets. Is Smith gonna be able to find him (no doubt under double c0verege).

I have no answers for you mate. Its bizarre. He left the Vikes under a cloud too so maybe he's just trouble. On the other hand the seahawks players have tweeted theyre shocked/disappointed so he seems popular with his teammates.

Been reading up on it, following it on NFL.COM and still can't get my head around it. Honestly can't see what we gain from it, especially when looking at the figures involved. To many questions to be asked between now and next season for us I'm afraid, which in itself is a sad state of affairs but is the bold truth at the end of the day :boo hoo:.

The more I think about it, the more I really like it. It's for a second round pick at worst. Also don't get too tied up in the figures as we're not actually on the hook for any guaranteed money after this year - just the remaining $7m for this year - that means we can renegotiate with him on more friendly terms.

Also the last troubled WR we took happened to be Braylon Edwards; didn't turn out too bad did it?

growing up in the late 80's watching C4 football the bills were one of the top teams, how they never won a super bowl under jim kelly probably speaks volumes about the other top teams at the time, I got into NFL proper as a CH4 kid, Saints were awful but Chicago were an awesome team, a top D allied to a QB in McMahon who i try and compare to a aguy nowadays but fail, Denver had an awesome allround team back then and looking at them this season its pretty similar, growing up in the mid to late 80', it was relatively easy to pick up an amercan football jersey as long as you liked the Dolphins or Bears

Thoroughly enjoyed my day out at Wembley today - was a superb game, full of thrills and spills and I had a stunning view into the bargain! £30 in the 'Gods' and you can see everything unfolding, without feeling miles away from the action.

The interception return that was ruled out was a shame as it was a stunning run. The pass from Stafford to Tate to get Detroit going in the second half was amazing and the finish was remarkable.

Despite the £7 for a hot-dog (though it WAS massive and fairly tasty in fairness) and £5.20 for a beer, I really enjoyed the day and I'm now trying to find a ticket for the Jaguars vs Cowboys game :greengrin

Bonus to come back in and see us annihilating Chicago, though for my fantasy team, it's a nightmare!

He was one of the first names on my sheet at the start of the draft. But IIRC someone else drafted him really high, like 3rd round. He led the league last year in least drops vs catch% and he's tough and blocks like a TE. Plus with Megatron on the opposite side he'll never get double teamed.

Glad I went in to check my lineup as Rashad Jennings is out injured

Most of my key players on a bye-week and then I'm rattled by yet another injury.

Can't say I'm a fan of such a big league this season as there's really very little you can do other than suffer when players end up being out.

Its a lot more difficult this year, thats for sure.

Romo out (probably for the next three weeks if you include the bye) Real shame for Dallas, they were looking the best team in the NFL for a while there. Good news for them is that the other three teams in their division are hardly world beaters.

To be fair I was very much a supporter of Sanchez when he was our QB (DH on the other hand :greengrin) He had some very good years with us and led us to AFC championship games, unfortunately a combination of a terrible contract, injury and shoddy offensive weapons really derailed his final two years. Was genuinely surprised by how 'simple' we made that look last night - both sides of the football clicked so well and it was a formidable statement.

It's great to have Gronkowski back, fully fit - he just adds something to our offense that no other team in the NFL has.

I find it quite frustrating from a fantasy perspective though - Edelman scored 2 TDs last night but I only get one of them as the second was on special teams. It should count toward player total too IMO :agree:

Depends on the teams playing in all honesty - Jets and Dolphins have a good sized UK fan base and will probably be in reasonable demand. So long as you don't hold off for a few months, you'll get them OK.

I would imagine the Lions vs Chiefs game will sell out quicker than the others on account of they're 2 decent teams playing each other.

I'll definitely be getting a ST if I'm still down here - Jets @ Dolphins game will be good as it's a divisional rivalry (and the Jets will be a much better team next year I'd suspect - given some time to integrate Harvin and Decker fully into a side and they should be pass happy and a decent spectacle - nothing to say they won't toss INT after INT right enough...:greengrin). Lions vs Chiefs are 2 good teams playing each other and the Bills @ Jaguars will be an NFL day out :greengrin

Interesting game next week

Massive game, with Palmer out for the cards now (don't know who the back up is) there's a huge chance to be no1 seed and with our current home form who knows where that could lead.

Trying not to be excited but i was never expecting to be 7-2 at this stage of the season.

Wow GB destroyed chicago last night, just finished watching it and I'm bet the Bears are glad pretty much the whole 2nd half was with the back ups.

Bears have been pretty woeful this season, especially last 2 games :fuming::brickwall

Gamecocks get it done, fighting right till the death, blocked field goal then a blocked punt took it to overtime and grabbed the win from there! Bright point in a horrible season

What do you reckon to this Melvin Gordon guy from Wisconsin? Supposed to be the new Barry Sanders.

I am sick to death of the Manning hype. According to Nfl.com today he 'could retire as the undisputed best ever at the end of next season'. Only by a panel of idiots. I wouldnt even put him in amongst the all time top five QBs.

Jaamal Charles is so good.

Agree with Bollah about the Manning hype. He has nothing on Jonny Unitas. Now there was a man with a haircut you could set your watch to.

Agree about manning, he is a very good qb, but nowhere near undisputed best, there's a few in front of him

Montana, Johnny Unitas, Fran Tarkenton, Marino, Brady. Then you can start talking about the best of the rest like Manning:na na:

I haven't seen a lot if him but he makes it look too easy, I would like to see them go up against a D like Bama or Ole Miss.

Should be a huge game in a couple of weeks - not relishing a trip to Lambeau though it would be some statement if we manage a win!

We have a bit of a tricky schedule coming up actually - we play the Lions next week at Foxborough, followed by an away trip to Green Bay and then another away trip to San Diego before finishing up with 2 home divisional and 1 away (Jets) divisional ties.

I reckon we're on solid course for the playoffs right now though - another 2 or 3 wins should secure that.

We were scarily good last night - Gronkowski is a monster :agree:
