It's not pessimism per se bollah - I just can't see what Brady can really do. We don't have any healthy receivers and the ones we do have, have had serious problems catching the ball this year.

last i checked Gronk will be back on sunday, you have Edelman whos having a good year, 2 young deep ball threats in Thompkins and Dobson, pretty sure Brady will find one of those open on sunday, your D doesnt give up much and neither does ours (yet) personally see the game being a low scoring affair, 20-13, i think the gamechanger is the weather conditions in Boston Sunday, anyway get it right ****ing up yous :greengrin

You were certainly screwed over on the neutral zone infraction/false start call but otherwise you can put away the victim card. The refs were just poor last night and it worked both ways.

If our winning TD should have been pulled back for holding, your go ahead TD should have been wiped out for offensive pass interference as Stills pushed Dennard away to get the space to make the catch.

Brees interception. How that wasent a timeout or delay of game I will never know. Watched a lot of football and never saw that. He tried to take timeout at 1. Play clock went to 0. Ball snapped about 2 seconds later and they let the play go. Weird

Aye, that was quite strange actually. I was roaring at the laptop for the officials to throw flags for DoG and was livid when they allowed it to go unpunished - had he managed a first down out of that, I'd have felt aggrieved I guess but the officials couldn't have known what the outcome would be so they're only partly to blame.

Some crazy scores in college football again this weekend with Taxas A&M, LSU, Georgia and Clemson all losing.

By the looks of it, we had a bit of a shootout with Indiana, racking up 63 points into the bargain (though more worryingly, conceding 47...).

With Ohio State winning again and Clemson getting crushed, the Buckeyes should find themselves at #3 when the rankings are announced tomorrow.

Not going to see the Patriots vs Jets game today but for the first time in a while, I think both teams and fans won't be sure what to expect! I do worry a little with the loss of Amendola, Talib, Mayo and long-term Wilfork that we're weaker than we were when we played them at Foxborough but another low-scoring game wouldn't surprise me today.

In recent years the Pats-Jets tilts have always been close at Foxboro but the Pats have been more dominant in New Jersey. Gronk is active so I hope that he gets a TD today. He should significantly improve the Pats RZ performance.

Strange week in the NFL - only seen our highlights, as I was out celebrating my wedding anniversary yesterday, but no complaints really. The players know the rules and you cannot do that anymore.

Still bleating about the Solder "Hold" on KTs GWTD? You're only bleating because you got to see it in Slo-mo, you watch that at game speed and you'll notice that he barely holds him at all.

It seemed like a controversial call, but the call was right, sadly, but the examples of the rule shown to teams in the off season had guys pushing who were not on the LoS at the time of the snap to explain the penalty, which had many fuming when it was called.

I'm still not happy with a lot of the calls from that game but I did enjoy reading the patriots message board this week.

Got a soft spot for the jets too as they have the most Hibs like jerseys

Edit
Just seen these tweets from Albert Breer, seems the patriots got away with doing the same thing against us last week. I wonder at what point that was and how it would have effected the game with the correct call. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/22/byjutenu.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/22/qase4yna.jpg

Breer is a gob*****, how exactly were the Patriots "circumventing" this rule? They were committing an act deemed worthy of a flag but no flag was thrown, that's not circumventing the rules.

Oh and the Jets did the exact same pushing thing during Gostkowski's Game-tying FG and did some at other points during the game.

The first time the penalty is called and it decided the game in question, and don't go on about tuck rule, that was a correct call and did NOT decide the game, it changed the game but did not hand the Patriots the win (unlike the pushing call in question, which effectively won the game for the Jets)

Also interesting to note that the wording of the rule was changed shortly after the game by the NFL on their site.

I read that earlier and although I think he's put it across horridly, he has a point - the rules are such that there's an increasingly small target zone players can hit and it encourages players to hit a lot lower, bringing increased risk.

It might just feel like it this season but has there been a statistical increase in ACL/MCL injuries?

I recall someone (can't remember who) being interviewed about a high tackle on Steelers' TE Heath Miller who had just come back from a knee injury and he said that very thing - he hit him high because he knew a tackle low down, which is what the league is pushing, would probably have hurt Miller again and possibly ended his career.

Rice has been a disappointment overall. Hate to hear of any serious injury but he's one starter we are well equipped to replace. Tate's on fire, Harvins coming in and Kearse definitely deserved more snaps anyway.

After seeing the extended highlights of Monday night, what we really need is our injured O-linemen back, especially Okung. We got destroyed in the trenches.

anyone see gio bernards 2nd touchdown run last night, amazing, was like watching benny hill the way he was allover the field :greengrin

He was one of the first names on my fantasy 'sleepers' list. Unfortunately someone else had been reading the same articles as me and beat me to it :greengrin He looked like Barry Sanders last week, im guessing he'll have a great career.

Incidentally, I see yet another player (Geno Atkins) has left the game for the season with an ACL injury. Been a bad year for it so far!!!

Looking forward to our game against State later on - hopefully we can bounce back after the disappointing loss to Penn State.

Should be a decent game :agree:

I think it looks like will be between the buckeyes, Bama and Oregon for the championship game.

Time for Matt Ryan to be ditched I think - second week in a row he's been INT happy and done very little of note.

New QB required.
