Been done to death but Lennon had a good 4 months after the recruitment team landed lucky in the January. He also inherited one of the best midfields in Scotland. Last season was worse than Hecky tbh.

You have got to hope so and at 36 you would think he would struggle to some degree however he is a very decent and experienced players as proven by still playing international football. Would assume Hearts must be paying him a decent amount to be here.

You're a long time retired and sometimes players who know they don't have long left are hungrier than youngsters who know they have ages left in the game.

He's come into a struggling team in a "hiding to nothing" game against Accies.

I wouldn't go as far to say he'll be a roaring success but I'd be wary of writing him off after so few appearances. That stuff invites "derby winner" and has 40 years worth of half time draws written all over it.

However, I think now we're seeing a good crop of young England players building what looks like an exciting team. Hope I'm wrong though.

Plenty of talented individuals but finding the eleven strongest as a team is going to be a tough job, Southgate has to get that right first then we’ll see. Whatever happens I take great satisfaction from them getting to the latter stages and making an impression on any tournament. All this pish about this and that team being missing and easy draws is just that.....pish. Once you get to the latter stages of the competition you are playing teams that have all got there on merit, those that aren’t there don’t deserve to be and shouldn’t be considered. It’s coming home maybe one day, who knows 😂

As a nation, we all laughed when Greg Dyke stood up and said the FA aim is to win the World Cup in 2018 or 2022. Much hilarity!!

However, I think the English have put in place a structure that his producing a crop of excellent players. We can only dream of such forward thinking with the SFA.

You're a long time retired and sometimes players who know they don't have long left are hungrier than youngsters who know they have ages left in the game.

He's come into a struggling team in a "hiding to nothing" game against Accies.

I wouldn't go as far to say he'll be a roaring success but I'd be wary of writing him off after so few appearances. That stuff invites "derby winner" and has 40 years worth of half time draws written all over it.
