I think Will Fish gets an incredibly hard time from Hibs fans. Yes he made a horrific mistake against Hearts but I honestly think people think he's about 28 years old.

I bet any 19 year old coming through the Hibs youth set up would get a much easier time.

He's looked ok on the few other occasions he's played.Agree totally . I missed the first 10 minutes of Derby at Tynecastle so didn`t know about mistake before first goal . Thought Fish had a good game and I was only disappointed he didn`t score from header in first half . Later I saw first goal on telly and it was obviously a terrible mistake but hope he`s staying with us for the rest of the season .

He would absolutely improve the team. I don’t have inside knowledge but going by the rumours of players wanting out, players who have left taking shots at the club it’s not a good place. Do we really think someone who is playing well for rangers when he gets a chance is going to want to join us when we’ve just sold our only centre forward and are out of the cups? Just my opinion. Would be delighted if it happened but he would have far better options than us if he became available.

We should normally have 2 or 3 transfers lined up well in advance, coupled with players at the club that should mean we know the majority of our squad for the season ahead.

Business will still need to be done over the summer then tweaks made in January but I do think that the work for the following season should be being done now.

Obviously none of this addressing our current, fairly urgent need to get more bodies in, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t good news of sorts.

Not how I see it. We've established quite the track record for trying in various regards on the footballing side in recent years. We need decent signings in and if we don't get them then all the good intent, good process or good spin is worth nothing. That's not at all what I'm saying. We should be signing the quality that everyone knows our team is desperately short of.

IDGAF about the 'going after' part of the equation, the only thing that matters is who they actually sign and deliver. To put it another way, it's ****ing easy to make an enquiry about virtually anyone but unless they complete the deal that player isn't going to be playing for us. Less talk, more delivery.

I am surprised that Bailey Wright has been mentioned, Sunderland at pretty short on CBs at the moment and their typical 'fill in' in that position (Evans) was ruled out for the season yesterday with a cruciate injury. I think that leaves them with 4 CBs including Wright but excluding their U23s. If they don't sign another one I can't see him getting to leave. Reading the comments doesn’t exactly scream quality over quantity.
