With all the usual caveats about how poor the opposition was, that's an impressive start from England.

Put it to bed early, kept their foot on the gas and have knocked it about confidently. Tougher tests to come but you can only beat what is in front of you and they have done that with ease. That will be a happy camp tonight and rightly so.

Their respective records show different, they’ve both beaten good sides in the recent past, but obviously poor from both of them. I think in Irans case it was one of those games where they went super negative, set out for the draw and it started going wrong with every shot going in and they had no way of changing the way theyd set out to play.
