Any interest in parting with injured Gronk or are you sticking it out with him?? I've got a very decent RB wasting away on my bench that could help you - especially since Spiller looks like he could possibly be struggling with a thigh injury!

Brave man banking on Eli - I cut him loose after his absolutely abysmal outing against Carolina when he amassed a whopping 4.16 points...
Gatey must be quaking in his boots this weekend as he faces absolute powerhouse RBs in LeGarrette Blount and Andre Ellington :greengrin Blount has fortuitously been promoted to lead RB for New England this week right enough in the absence of Ridley and had a good outing last week so fingers crossed he comes good against the Bengals...expecting Ellington to get a few more carries after Mendenhall's shambolic performance last week too.
Took my first stash gamble for my bench on Jonathan Stewart. With the sheer absence of RBs out there, he's set to return in a couple of weeks and should get plenty of carries.
James.

I'm having terrible selection problems today in that all my players deserve to play. Sproles, Dobson and Randle all scored touchdowns in their previous game yet all are on the bench.
Gonna take a punt on Percy Harvin I think though, I can't help myself; but Ray Rice has had one too many chances. Sure he'll score a brace tonight now!

I've struggled to make selections today too actually - regretting picking T.Y Hilton the past 2 weeks but without a doubt, the week I drop him, he'll put up big numbers again.
I'm torn between 4 for my remaining WR/Flex option tonight - Riley Cooper (scoring for fun just now), Andre Ellington (against a brutal Jaguars defense), Anquan Boldin (against a pitiful Saints pass defense) or Doug Baldwin (probably impacted by the probable return of Harvin, though that might open up some coverage.

You have to be favourites. If you want one nonQB to get you 13 points youd always pick Calvin Johnson. Pretty pleased with my last minute pickup of the Vikings third string RB though, due to injuries to AP and his backup. He got me 24 points on his own!

It's going to be close I reckon, Johnson is scoring an average of 17 points a game this season, but he has had a 2.5 and only got 5.2 last week. In my benefit he's scoring slightly more at home and won't have to play in a blizzard this week.

How about a Scottish based and a Rest of the World based split? I reckon at least 6 of the 14 live outside Scotland (based on their location on here), NOLA (Krakow), Haymaker (London - Sort of), Derry Hibee (assuming Derry?), Sylar (Hampshire), Calvin (Newcastle) and Hibs Max (Boston). Hibsbollah is still listed as Happy Clappertoun, but I'm pretty sure he's moved since we got relegated... :greengrin DH1875, Hi8sry, and DarrenSQH don't have a location listed.

There's at least 6 of us from the AFC East. There's a division right there. Could get a bit messy though :)

Fire a PM to Gatecrasher, he's the league boss.

Ok so Darren, Derry, Bry and Lugz would make it 15 and if Loch (waiting on confirmation) is in that would make it 16 2 divisions of 8

Rather than trying to come up with criteria for grouping the divisions, how about I put everybody's name into Excel and use a random number generator to assign a number to everyone between 1 and 16.
You then give me a rule (i.e., all odds and all evens) and we do it that way?
Seems easier than attempting to lump by conference supported?
James.

16 teams :worried:That means around another 60 - 70 players on rosters. It's going to be painful come Round 3 of the draft :greengrin
I don't know if it's worth doing divisions as you're really playing everyone just once with such big numbers - might as well be all up against each other in one division.

We're gonna get one super star each I think... It's gonna be tough!
16 players, the draft will take forever, better start it now to be sure :greengrin defo dont want to be picking first this year :agree: unless we choose to autopick and then trade the players we arent happy with?

Is it possible to do the draft for the first 4/5 rounds or so and then auto-pick the rest or can that not be done? would allow us to select the decent players ourselves and then trade our other players if we don't like them?
Whatever we do we'll have to start pretty soon, 58 days till kick-off!
James.

I think we should pick our own players to be honest. Usually picking up a bargain late on can make all the difference!

Absolutely. Autogenerating picks is a waste of time. We're all fairly knowledgeable so we should know even the players in the lower rounds pretty well :dunno:

No auto-pick for me. That happened in my work's league last year and it sucks not being in control of who is in your line-up.

I have sent PM's to Bry, Darren, Smithy, Lugz and Derry to join the league. I haven't heard from Lochhibs yet, I will give him a bit longer then he might need to be punted if he doesn't respond.
Any thoughts on names or how to split the divisions?
