You going on the Saturday or the Sunday?

I got tickets for the Sunday when it was announced, but then they added the Saturday, which I'd much rather have had!

Sunday for me too, didn't realise they were playing two nights

Just booked a trip to Copenhagen to see Inhaler in a couple of weeks then onto Hamburg for Party for the Masses, not a gig but as good as. It’s a huge Depeche Mode convention and party that attracts 2-3000 punters. Feels like we’re finally back to normal!

I have tickets to see Foals @ Usher Hall on 20th April. Been rescheduled twice since pandemic started so was looking forward to it but booked a last minute holiday which clashes and will unfortunately miss. Gutted but holiday tops it I'm afraid. Not sure rules as to selling on here but they are available (can remove this part if selling is frowned upon) :D

depending on who you got your tickets through as it was rescheduled you might be able to get a refund. i forgot all about the gig and had no idea where my tickets are for it. managed to check on SeeTickets and getting them printed out again at the ticket office. I did see an option on there for a refund.

Also got tickets for Rage. These are genuine 'bucket-list' tickets for me, as I'd given up hope of ever seeing them for one reason or another. I had a ticket to see them with Run The Jewels in Oakland right before the pandemic scuppered my last trip out to California.

Also got a ticket to see PUP at SW3G in Glasgow in October, which I'm looking forward to.

Finally, Slam Dunk Festival once again in June - cracking lineup this year with Alexisonfire the main headliner for me.

Looking forward to some live music once more!

I canny stand the Lemon Tree. Very small stage with low ceiling meaning even the wee touring bands tend not to use their usual production.....and I hate that the stage is not central to the crowd. It's also very 'clean'. Prefer my wee venues to be a bit more seedy haha. Wedding Present are one of the few bands from my youth that I haven't seen. Enjoy!

Haha, it was an uneventful journey, what a difference travelling by yourself without having to babysit someone. :greengrin. Blackburn has went right downhill, loads of pubs all shut down and a few ****bags around town looking like they were up to no good. £2.79 a pint though, couldn't believe it.

Went to see Travis last night. Back in (I think!) late 2020 if you pre-ordered their last album from our local record shop in Dundee you got a ticket for a 40 minute acoustic set at Fat Sams nightclub.

As it ended up, it was rescheduled from 2021 to this year and as they had been touring anyway, they turned up with the full band and other than two new songs, they played an hour long greatest hits set and performed with the energy as if they were playing the Royal Concert Hall all over again. Absolutely phenomenal, turned a casual fan into someone who'll be heading to see them a lot more often.

Love the Assai deals. Saw Foals at Fat Sam's, it was amazing. They played the new album in full as advertised but still played a good few more songs afterwards. Even more impressive as they'd done a matinee show too.

The gf managed to get tickets to Harry Styles 'one night only' at Brixton O2 tonight and from what I've heard was sensational :D also has tickets for the Ibrox gig in a week or so. New album is fairly good.

Also picked up tickets to Arcade Fire in September, WE is a smashing album so can't wait for that and also have The Script, Olivia Rodrigo and Fontaines D.C this year scheduled.

Awesome concert, Lamberts vocals were superb, and Brian May was wonderful as usual, as was Roger Taylor, who does have a very good voice too, the stage and lights were amazing, and the crowd seemed to have a ball.

Cant imagine they have many concerts left in them at their age, that could have been the last time i will see them.

I remember thinking when the concert was announced in 2019, shall i pay the best part of £100 to see them again?

If they announced another tour next year, i'm sure i'd pay it again, as that was worth every penny. :top marks

The Killers at Falkirk Stadium last night were brilliant. Brandon Flowers really is one the great front men around.
Venue was a total shambles however. Ridiculous queues for the loo, a pint, food etc. bar was all BrewDog beers and extortionate, wine & spirits etc were stupidly expensive. Took us about 2 hours to get away afterwords in our pre-booked taxi (due to being no trains back to Edinburgh). The roads were gridlocked with no police present to manage it. The designated taxi pick up spot, Forth Valley College was unreal. Nothing moved in or out until the roads were cleared, well over an hour. I will never to a gig there again.

Agree with everything. Although the beer prices are unfortunately pretty standard for gigs now.

Queues for bars and toilets were ridiculous and poorly planned, and yeah we sat on our coach for over an hour afterwards before it moved.
Also, confusion over wristbands for the pitch which wasted around 20 minutes of our time walking backwards and forwards.

The gig tho was unreal. The stage setup was superb - that screen was unbelievable

It was everything you said and more . I can't think of a time Brian May was off the stage. The other 2 had short breaks. I've still no voice. We had the vip package so was even more expensive but worth every penny.

Noel Gallagher at Colwyn Bay

Lifetime ambition fulfilled seeing Feeder. Unfortunately they were ridiculously prompt so only got to hear Just the Way I’m Feeling and High while queuing to get in and then Buck Rogers and Just a Day. Vaccines better than expected considering they’ve had a busy two years (🥁) and of course nobody paid attention to Noel until he started banging out the Oasis tunes which of course were superb. Originally in the seats but had a row of council types behind us who wouldn’t shut up wittering so had a dance on the pitch instead

They were really good. It's the first time I've seen them - someone got me a ticket as a gift as a more casual fan. I'm only fully familiar with the Wide Awake album really but it was a good set.

It did end on a bit of an anti climax IMO as they finished on a newer track that just didn't go anywhere. But yeah, great band.

Biffy Clyro at Ingliston and Liam Gallagher at Hampden on consecutive days later in the month

Both gigs were brilliant.

As Steve mentioned previously, Kasabian were brilliant and for me stole the show.

I think Liam ran out of time as apparently both Supersonic and Live Forever were on the planned set list but had to be dropped.

My only complaint about Biffy would be the venue. It wasn’t obvious from the stuff sent out that you actually entered from the A8 rather than the Royal Highland Centre entrance which meant an unnecessary trek from the tram stop. At least there was some entertainment in the queue watching stewards haul folk mid wee from the bushes on the other side of the road and the subsequent square goes. The stewards were a bit arsey on the way in. Basically emptying folks wallets, checking each card for drugs presumably. It slowed entry down so much. The guy wasn’t going to let me in for “drinking too much before arriving” despite me not actually having had a drink which he also didn’t believe as I had no car keys with me (eh?)

To be fair ticketmaster said it was a 20-25 min walk from the team stop! Was a bit of a walk but would rather do that than head to Glasgow

But no details in which direction. If you got off at the P&R or the tram you would figure that you would turn right and head towards the airport, taking a left when you get to the road that leads to the RHC.

What you needed to do was turn left out of the P&R and head onto the A8 and then keep going. It ended up being a bit longer than a 25 minute walk which was quite frankly dangerous… walking up a road with no pavement whilst loads of Highland Show traffic was driving past. The guy in front of me got absolutely banjoed in the head by a truck’s wing mirror.

There was a group of women on the tram who were insisting getting off at the airport rather than Ingliston as “it would be quicker”. They would be in for a shock (and I’m not too sure they twigged it is way more expensive to get off at the airport)

Seemingly they were brutal at the London gig at Spurs ground. sound was meant to be shocking and Axel Rose was all over the place, maybe that's why it's been cancelled, also their gig in Norway on the 29th June was brutal too with Rose unable to hit the notes to their classic tunes.

Sometimes there a reason why bands split up.

His voice has been shot for a long time. Some recent YouTube videos he sounds like hes been turned down volume wise and when you hear him he sounds like Mickey Mouse.

Yep me too, I was at the SWG3 recently for the Tremonti gig, got there at 5.30pm to queue and left at around 10.30pm so about 5 hours standing. For an old guy who's had both hips done and carrying a few lbs too many, my legs were knackered afterwards, it's great being at the front for these gigs but when it's 2 support bands and the main band, a comfy seat is appreciated, which it will be in Dec when we go to see Alter Bridge.

That's what I thought initially but these are platinum tickets and don't include hotel. The hotel packages come under a different section and are cheaper but worse seats.

Mental price.

£100 sounds more realistic for rear seats and probably decent value considering his set times

Springsteen now sold out for Murrayfield. Couldn't get tickets for any of the sales.

Travelled a lot to see him and won't get to do it in my hometown. Yet tickets are already on sale at inflated prices on resale sights.

I'm very angry right now. Shouldn't be doing 6 tickets person for ones like this.

What makes it more infuriating is Live Nation/Ticketmaster etc. transfer tickets to the tout sites, as they own them.

Along with market-based pricing. Neither should be legal.

I saw Stiff Little Fingers at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on Saturday night and as expected they delivered a raucous romp through their back catalogue. The real surprise though was the support, TV Smith, former frontman with the Adverts. His folk punk troubadour act was as angry and as entertaining a set as I’ve seen in a long time. His acoustic rendition off Gary Gilmore’s Eyes was worth the admission price on its own.

22nd - Arab Strap - The Garage, Highbury
24th - The Twilight Sad - Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
26th - The National and Mogwai, All Points East festival
28th - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, All Points East festival

Unfortunately that means I miss Meursault on the 24th too; and I decided against Public Service Broadcasting on the 23rd.

I seen them in the 90’s they were good back then. Wasn’t planning on going more of a statement about bad luck for gigs here.

Maybe they need to get some advice from The Stones about touring other than missing a couple due to Covid(think they rescheduled and played them) manage to complete a tour.

I find him as funny as a wet fart on a cold day, but the venue surely knew his brand of comedy when they booked him? It's not suddenly revelatory that he uses controversy as his brand of humour?

Yeah, me and the missus said the same, when Sanctify Yourself finished at 10.30 I was sure they would play two or three more as the curfew was 10.45 , but not to be.

Maybe not used to playing gigs two days in a row these days and has to take care with his voice, I know Fish has said things like that and they’re about the same age.

I've seen MCR shortly after they release Three Cheers - I kinda went off them a bit after that album but they put on a great show - seen SOTY 3 times now, and they never fail to deliver a great live show (though it's been about 10 years since I last seen them and their more recent stuff hasn't quite resonated with me.

MCR's new song is pretty good I'd suggest giving it a listen just to see what you think of it, a few of my mates seen SOTY as well years ago and said the same as you so here's hoping they can still deliver. I ended up at the club night at Beckett student union but my memory of that night is patchy at best I actually forgot they were playing and I'll be going to see them to hear Jamie All Over, any other songs they play that I like I'll consider a bonus.
