Agreed, on both fronts.

The grip they have on the Labour membership is a real concern when it comes to leadership selection - we need to see a substantial mobilisation of the rational centre left in order to ensure that the Party becomes an electable entity once again.

It's a complete tragedy right now, yet Momentum are already hitting out their scripted lines about this being the 'Brexit election' and not reflective of policy. Aye right.

It was the closest area in Scotland to voting leave so not a huge surprise.

Moray is the one I thought they would hold on to in the North East. There’s a large airbase and a lot of ex-serviceman have settled in the area who are traditional Tory voters. Throw in the fishing community and it was going to be a tough one to regain.
