Every season ticket holder should be guaranteed a ticket for the final

Has the ticket price been reduced? I thought the West was £40 now £35.
No - the west was £35 in the initial announcement on Monday.

Should have been a 2 day window for season ticket holders only, then 2 days later if season ticket holders want to buy 2

Considering most season ticket holders will probably attend with others then it is possible that up to 90% of season tickets will be paired with another.

It’s always worked in the past, as long as they are in your network you could buy for everyone.

Great decision by the club. Kudos for looking after those that were there on Sunday with non season ticket holder friends/family.

Could be absolute carnage but I’d imagine it would be 2 per client ref no. if that’s still a thing

Really sad that they have thrown under the bus, those who turned out on Sunday and werent season ticket holders. I am not looking for a final ticket, but a group of 8 that went on the Torino buses on Sunday, none of them season ticket holders wont get a sniff, because the ticket office deem it will be difficult to trace who was at the semi final who was not a season ticket holder. Complete nonsense. Software could cross reference that in seconds. So sady part of that group, two ten year olds will be heartbroken that they wont get to see the final now, after being at the semi, as its too much hassle for the ticket office to deal with. Well done Ticket office, you have probably just lost at least 2 future supporters.

Totally agree. Don't see me getting a chance of a ticket despite being at the semi (and other games). Was toying with idea of a half season ticket if it helped get a ticket but even that's out the window now. If I do miss out on a ticket I might not be back. What's the point.

Agree with you completely. I know a group of 8, including 2 young children who went to the semi, none of them season ticket holders, and they wont smell a ticket now. It should be one ticket per season ticket holder, then those who went on sunday who werent season ticket holders, then anything left should go out on general sale. They way they have done it means there is the possibility that some season ticket holders wont get any tickets. Well done ticket office for spoiling a good day. Though they have history of making a mess of these things. Sad thing is, they will probably now lose 2 future fans, who wont bother now, especially the way they have been treated. As for the Doncaster comment that Hibs may get more tickets if they sell out, they are still not going to go to the non season ticket holders who went on Sunday. Shame on you Hibs.

Quite simple. If the one person bought 8 tickets, you give them 8 tickets for the final. That would hardly make any significant difference, as I imagine the overwhelming majority of those that went on Sunday were season ticket holders. Probably only talking about a few hundred, but it would make a big difference if the club showed that they appreciated them turning out, late on a Sunday evening, only getting back after 8pm, by saying a thank you and making sure they get tickets for the final. I am not looking for a ticket, even though I was a season ticket holder for donkeys years. They deserve them much more, for turning out when they were needed.
WhileTheChief..

I'm entitled to six but only plan to buy what we really need, to give other Hibbies a chance.
I'd imagine a few people will have the same opinion, so hopefully none of our regular attendees will miss out.
Yup, i go with my dad, both of us are season ticket holders so we'll only need 1 each.

Maybe not as simple as that, but if they’d given season ticket holders one each, say 9,500 bought, would leave around 8,000 to fans like in your group

Dont want to fall out with anyone, but probably a few hundred went on Sunday who werent season ticket holders. Not doing something for them, and throwing it open to an open sale if there are any left does not show Hibs in a good light. It says, yeah, you came out on a cold night with a late kick off on a sunday evening, and backed the team, but your not worthy of a ticket for the final. We will let season ticket holders buy an extra ticket, which may go to someone who hasnt been to a game in donkeys years. Very bad form by Hibs, especially as there were so many kids at the semi, many of whom wont get near getting a final ticket. Sad really, for the sake of a few hundred tickets

It wouldnt be that big an issue. I am pretty sure that you would only be talking about a few hundred non season ticket holders. But I would go further than that, if a season ticket holder had bought 4 tickets, as he was taking friends with him, then he too should get tickets for them. I am sure if they made it 1 per season ticket holder, plus any extra that a season ticket holder that bought at the time, you would still have some tickets left to go to public sale. They seem too much of a hurry, starting tomorrow, so if you are a season ticket holder, you better get online or on the phone tomorrow, as I suspect most of the tickets will be gone before saturday. The idea of season ticket holder being able to buy in person on monday is a nonsense. They will all be gone by monday.
As for the principal, I remember way back, probably over 20 years ago, and all fans were told to keep their ticket stub from the semi, as it would guarantee a ticket for the final. Those were more sensible times.

Hibs will have the data that gives them the confidence that there’ll be a general sale of some sort or, at the very least, that there’ll be insufficient take up of the 2 per season ticket to ensure that no season ticket holders miss out. At least wait until there are season ticket holders or semi final attendee’s missing out before we start moaning. I honestly don’t think there will be anywhere near the take up of 2 per season.

Afraid you have got that all wrong. I reckon they will all be gone by the end of the weekend. Unfortunately they dont know season ticket holders, they just go along now and again, and went on Sunday. I wouldnt worry, I very much doubt there will be a public sale, unless they get a further allocation of tickets. I suppose the only good thing is that if they sell out this weekend, then the pressure goes back to the SFA to back up their claim that Hibs will get more tickets if they sell out.

You obviously dont know 11 year olds, who are so excited about the whole thing. Thankfully they are not mine, it will be someone elses sad business to tell them they cant go to the final. I hope the SFA relent, and give hibs, at least another 5,000 tickets, and perhaps then Hibs could firstly give tickets from that allocation to those who bought them for the Semi. I'd be surprised if there isn't a general sale. IMO most ST holders will get their own seats only, many won't go as they have Covid fears, live abroad and the closeness to Christmas makes it too difficult and the Ticket Prices are ridiculous. Last night's result won't help sales and hopefully lots of tickets are sold before we have to worry about Saturdays result. I have 3 client numbers available to me and will be getting 3 tickets.

There is probably more agreement between us than you think. I agree completely that those who went with season ticket holders should also be guaranteed a ticket. Any season ticket holder who bought additional tickets for family or friends should also get. The problem, as has already been mentioned by others, is that by allowing all season ticket holders an extra ticket, a lot of those could go to those who havent been to a game since the Scottish Cup final. I just think they could easily have done it better. Seems to be too much haste, with the tickets going on sale tomorrow

Probably in the hundreds rather than thousands. Celtic have got the north stand so only tickets left i would imagine would be south upper. We had huns above us at semi so hopefully avoid that situation in final.

I'm in a similar but older boat. Rarely free at weekends but try to get to most midweek matches at ER. If I get a ticket for the final I'll free myself up to go and it will be a bonus. If I don't get a ticket but folk who attend less frequently than me do, I'm not going to spit the dummy and stop going to matches when I can.
I have more sympathy for the ST holder who could potentially lose out (but I agree probably won't). Suggested a simple solution on another thread (although I didn't quite do my sums right).
If we have 17,500 tickets and 11,000 ST holders, you offer two tickets per ST holder until the first 13,000 tickets are sold (ie a minimum of 6,500 ST holders), then have a 24-48 hour window for the remaining 4,500 (max) ST holders to buy one ticket, then what remains goes on public sale. But that boat's sailed. Beyond the horizon. Or off the edge of the world if you're a Rover driving cardigan wearer.

The Scottish Cup final v Celtic in 2001 went to a form of ballot if I am remembering correctly. Those who went to the Semi Final or were members of the Famous Five scheme were eligible to enter so some did miss out on that one.

In 2001, Hibs announced that everybody that attended the semi final would be guaranteed a final ticket, but then withdrew a large number of tickets to give to sponsors, or to sell as part of package deals to businesses.
Me and my son attended the semi but were one of only a few hundred that missed out on final tickets.... then watched on TV as hundreds of Celtc fans celebrated in the Hibs End.

The club are in a no win situation here due to the numbers of tickets we have been given. Doncaster in my email exchanges indicated that there is scope for extra tickets depending on how sales go. Hope he keeps to his word. We need to sell out our allocation as quickly as possible. If we do get extra these could go on General sale.

I think we have to recognise that Hibs have the data on these things as well. They will know how many season ticket holders are likely to purchase more than 1 based on past instances, and how many wont purchase any (those maybe too old, or young to attend matches at Hampden)
This isn't a random decision.

The Scottish Cup final v Celtic in 2001 went to a form of ballot if I am remembering correctly. Those who went to the Semi Final or were members of the Famous Five scheme were eligible to enter so some did miss out on that one.
I went to the semi that year and also missed out. Not having much luck am I lol. (I think the Glasgow postcode is to blame for that one).

He's lying, unless they're planning to build another tier on Hampden in the coming weeks.

So let's wait and see, tickets are to be sold in blocks which Hibs will have been told about this arrangement.

I'm sure it'll go to public sale. Some ST holders just aren't going to ER this season (covid or other reasons) so I doubt they'll bother with this. Some will think we're beaten before we start. Others might just not fancy a day out in the weedge with all these Celtic fans hanging about. Some will of course let others have their client ref but I still think there will be tickets left.

Though the likelihood is that no ST holders will miss out, some will undoubtedly miss out on the seats they want, and that's my gripe. The limited number of South Stand tickets will be taken up not just by ST holders but people who happen to be a ST holders mate, how can that in any way be considered fair? One of my group is 75 & unable to stand for 90 mins, so a seat on the aisle if possible, and in an area where there's a chance people will sit for part of game is more than desirable. Chances are we'll now get tickets behind the goals, whilst somebody's mate who just turns up for finals, and has made zero effort sits in a comfortable South Stand seat!

I think that is a fair point. The semi wasn't any better with the south upper being closed for sales for some time while fans were buying tickets in the east. I imagine the best tickets for the Final will actually come on sale when debenture ticket holders give up their seats. I think Hibs have done the right thing though. We need to sell out quickly and this is probably the best way of doing it

A pay-at-the-gate final? Wow.
There have always been Hibs supporters unable to get tickets for finals. Most allocations have been sold out. Just because you got a ticket doesnt meant that everyone that wants to go got a ticket. The important thing is the ever increasing kids, especially girls, who are attending games. This is all about protecting the future hibs supporters. I would much rather an 8 year old who went to the semi, gets a a ticket for the final before someone who hasnt been near Hibs since the Scottish Cup Final. They are the future, and if anyone has watched the highlights on Premier Sports, the amount of Hibs Kids who were there was amazing. Dont let them down Hibs, let them have tickets before some goremless sod who hasnt been to a game since the Scottish Cup Final

Celtic won’t be announcing anything until after tonight’s game, although there’s is different. They will sell every ticket through a ballot, their sales won’t take days/weeks like ours.

Was living in Bath but came up for the semi. I always keep my stubs. Sent them up to my cousin for a unified block of tickets for all of us at the semi.

I'm sure that when we played rangers in the final at Parkhead the club done a random voucher at a home game at Easter Rd about a month before it to ensure that regular walk ups got a ticket for the final(possibly against Dundee Utd). Always thought that was a good idea as nothing was announced before it.
*I also think this is were the club are missing a trick by not offering the club membership. Guys who can't make games for whatever reason can still pay say £50 to be a member and it gets them priority over general sales for match tickets.

My Dad took charge of buying tickets for us and he took so long to get round to it that the whole 38,000 allocation were sold out, and we had to sit in the Livi end as well.

Thats where I am unfortunately. Flew up Sunday for the semi and flights already booked up for the 19th. Get up as often as can work and family depending.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the show and it's probably been discussed.
Have I got this right? There were 4 of us at the semi final, 2 ST holders and 2 non ST holders (who both have client references).
Can 1 ST holder log in tomorrow and purchase 4 tickets?
Incidentally, I'm a bit baffled at the ST + 1 myself and the thought of an ST losing out on a ticket isn't right, but is the above correct?

Not sure you can just now due to high volume of people on the site. You maybe able to do it once the Q starts moving / you get in to buy tickets.
