If the SG advisors are right and the infection rates are doubling every 2 days, there's no chance they will allow a gathering of 50,000 folk the week before Christmas.

Celtic have Jota and Kyogo missing, they will demand it's postponed if the SG say fans can't attend - and tbh it's looking that way.

They also said there’s a large number of trains not running today due to staff absence. Hopefully it’ll be fine but not convinced

Doubling time of the variant is every 2-3 days (thought to be closer to 2 than 3) and the R number well above 2.
I honestly think the final will be touch and go.

Everyone will be out this weekend desperate to get out after what has been said the last couple of days and this will lead to massive new cases and next weekend will be carnage imo.

All this talk of a lockdown/ games getting postponed/ no crowd etc can get so far to... What’s the point in getting jags and boosters if anyone was to still accept restrictions if it were to be getting to that stage. Not a chance of it happening

I've had to email them. The Hibernian FC account, that links to your eticketing account, has amended my address from 21/4 to 214! So now my tickets will be going to 214, an address that doesn't even exist. Fantastic.
Hooefully they get back to me soon.

Exactly what happened to me for the semi final - changed form 4/6 to 46. Had to go & find the address and thankfully hadn't returned them to the sender.
Obviously some blip in their system that doesn't recognise the slash so I'd check if you have a / in your address.

They did the same for my Semi Final tickets then claimed it was me that made the mistake. Then the next lot of tickets was 'delayed in the post' (i.e. disappeared)
I eventually arranged to pick up a new copy at Hampden.

Cabinet meeting on Tuesday will analyse the latest Omicron data - cases doubling every 2 days. Think we will know then about any further restrictions including football stadiums.

Believe or not we have the Internet here and can read Scottish newspapers. But this looks very worrying for watching football :

If they try and stop the fans going to this they’ll have to bin the rugby, Hogmanay street party etc. can’t just persecute football fans as if we are some sort of superspreaders.

Agree think it will be all mass events. The report in the Evening News is even more worrying. Chances of fans at the cup final are slim. Should imagine will be postponed till next year.

It would probably be a bit safer having folk at Hampden in the open air rather than crammed in to houses and pubs.

The more I think about it the more I think that it will be postponed if we get the announcement over the next week that we're now all expecting.
Football was shut down for several months in March 2020 and with people seemingly needing a booster before they're seriously protected against Omicron, of everyone 18+ in Scotland football players are in the age group that's the least likely to have had one dose never mind three.

It's normal,
They have two barcodes, the outer one is adult and the inner is child. They remove the outer one from child tickets so that the inner barcode is the one scanned at the turnstyle.
I think that's been the practice for a while now.

Put that question to Kieran on another thread but he has only put up the opening hours. As a business you need to be more customer focused. For the semi final St Johnstones ticket office was open till 7.00 and at weekends. Its not open the day before the game next Saturday either.

Ha ha, I have a long standing client ref number, going back to when they were first issued, I've had Hibs tickets delivered to my current address for 10 years now and although I no longer have a season ticket (only due to work) my first season ticket was for the very last season of the wooden benches behind the goals in 94/95.

Tickets were flying off the shelf when we had our initial allocation. I’ve no doubt bigger groups would’ve bought if they could. As such, I’ve got my tickets, nobody that would’ve come with my group are now going to buy to go and sit on their own.

Have people started to receive their tickets through the post yet? I'm waiting for mine's to show. Hope they haven't been held up in the Christmas post. I sent something down to a mate in Brighton and it took the best part of a fortnight to arrive.
Some have some haven't still waiting myself. Assume get them in next couple of days.

Great shout bud. Donate them to low income families who are already struggling at a financially challenging time of year, would be a great boost for them. Maybe one for KP?

Cheers. It could all be done quietly via the community foundation, clubs database. SPFL a need not know. I’ve had a count I make it 572 left

I had another thought, maybe HSL could buy them with their monthly loot and distribute them openly to unemployed, low income families ? I’d be happy to contribute. Could someone pass this on if in agreement

If they close football stadiums they have to close everything, cinemas, theatres, concert halls, pubs, restaurants etc. That will not happen unless they bring back furlough. That is highly unlikely to happen.

It’s pretty clear that 10-20% of our usual fans are being very cautious re Covid and not going to home games and a final where you might be on a bus or a train is even more concerning , particularly with the emergence around omicron

Its nothing to do with covid and everything to do with what ringothedog says. People aren't going as we have next to no chance of a win. If St Johnstone snuck through and we were playing them we'd have 30,000 next Sunday.

I think Covid does cast a shadow on things for a lot of fans (eg reluctance to mingle in pubs/among crowds) but for me it's financial. Family commitments come first at this time of year.
However, there's no doubt our form of late will have put some off buying tickets too. Defeatist it may be but the prospect of traipsing home in the wake of a defeat, having spent a chunk of your Christmas budget will be especially off-putting for those with kids I think.

It’s not something I remotely give a **** about, but the club will be mocked relentlessly and it will damage our chances of a 50/50 split in future games if we don’t sell out. There will be fans not going to this game who will be moaning at not getting a ticket if we reached the Scottish cup final, but they’ll only have themselves to blame. Not going to a final because you think we’ll get beat isn’t a position I can understand, most people thought we’d lose the semifinal against a better team and we won that. What I will say is having it the week before Christmas isn’t ideal.

exactly. I’m coming over on the boat from belfast and I’m very wary.
in normal circumstances, Hibs in a cup final, a weekend in Glasgow just before Christmas with the potential of further celebrations in Edinburgh afterwards… I’d be all over it. As it is though I’m not even sure I’m gonna go to a pub before the game.
my parents are elderly and Christmases getting far too few and precious to miss one or put them in danger because of my own recklessness.

I think people who are cautious about public transport have every right to be. I was going to buy my ticket last weekend, but Fri got a positive lateral flow followed by a positive PCR so now locked up until 20th.
Only time I've been out the house within the timescales I've been advised I likely contracted it was to travel to the office last Monday because my Internet went down in the house. No one else in the office but the bus too and from Glasgow was full of people who immediately took their masks off as soon as they got on. I'm certain that's where I caught it.

As mad as I was at the time, the SPFL clearly judged it better than most of us, a 50/50 split would have resulted in thousands of unsold tickets rather than hundreds. With hindsight only mistake was opening up full half of South Upper for us in one go.

Good service as always from the staff but I feel for them as you say you are collecting tickets and they have to go through several piles of envelopes to find the tickets. Surely must be a quicker way for them to operate. The delays are when it’s been spread over several transactions which means couple envelopes. Don't really understand that message copy below given the ticket office is shut on the Saturday.
Tickets for the #PremierSportsCup Final have been posted out in batches since Wednesday. We ask fans to be patient and if you have not received yours by Friday’s post, please email

Guessing the solution will be reprints to be collected at Hampden on the day.

The Hibs site has some details.
1.00 for 1.15.
Park & Ride
Assume we will get more bus details by email or post but you should already have an email confirming purchase and seats
Hope that helps. I am on the Glasgow road bus(s)

I'm very confident the game will proceed as planned based on what I've heard. No plans currently to cancel the game or limit attendance.

That's because they know the attendance will be limited because of transport difficulties.

They were asking what time it was leaving, i think all buses heading through have to provide specific details to Hibs and travel details / bus number will be sent out.
I’m sure Hibs communicated this a week or so ago.

People seem to be hugely disconnected with the club. Poor run of form, a long break from football due to covid where people have got used to life without attending the games perhaps? Hopefully a manager with a bit of spark can get the team back up and running leading to more supporters turning up to back the boys. I mentioned already this season that I think the season tickets next season will be the lowest we have seen pre relegation.

I would not be embarrassed, we have sold over 19000 tickets with about 400 left. Hardly something to be embarrassed about.

Yup. We were given an extra 2000 and have sold the vast majority of them. Shows we were right to ask for more.

Wouldn't be embarrassing at all.
Would be the biggest Hibs crowd at a game for a long time in a city 1 hour away for most a few days before Christmas.
A win tonight may help shift a few more. It's more embarrassing the SPFL sold the crap seats at the front to fans before better seats more centrally.

Dress it up whatever way you want but for a club of our size to not sell out a cup final, particularly given the uproar about ticket allocation and how we banged on about selling out easily, it would be very embarrassing.

Nonsense we are in a pandemic where people are choosing not to go to games and have a final a week before Christmas and taking 20k nothing at all embarrassing about it.

Absolutely agree. There are many who have bought tickets that are now in two minds about going (myself included) so it's not surprising that the final 400 odd tickets aren't selling quickly.

I'm having a busy morning at work......we've sold 29 in the last 45 mins (currently 465 down from 494). On pace to sell out today at that rate haha.
I'd expect a few more to go pre-match tonight at the ticket office.

I really expected us to sell out our full allocation and clearly Hibs did as well since they were demanding a 50/50 split so I imagine it will come as a disappointment if we don't sell out.
Rightly or wrongly it probably won't help our argument for getting an even split of tickets for future matches v Celtic or Rangers at Hampden.
Either way I'll be there and looking forward to it.

This has nothing to do with the numbers attending or anything like that, but...
How much did they charge for tickets for the LC Final against Ross County?
I have a vague memory that they'd reduced the price because of the potentially lower demand for tickets, given the teams involved, but can't remember how much it was.
