Yes, they are refunding adults if you can hand them in to the ticket office but because of the kids tickets having one of the tear off stubs missing they can’t take those back.

Did anyone on here have to pick up reprinted tickets at the semi final, if yes how was the process? I am sure that might help people who are worried about having to do it.

The tickets don't seem to be shifting in the direction of a sell out. Is it because purchases are balanced out against people returning theirs because of COVID-19 reasons?

Come on let's shift the rest, get sold out and get right behind the lads on Sunday!

None for me in EH3 either, when I called the ticket office they said to email before 3pm on Friday if they hadn't arrived and they can organise a reprint at Hampden, the original tickets will then be void, so you wouldn't be able to use them if they arrived later on Friday or the Saturday.

I think at the semi final it was self scan so you might get away with it but big gamble. Especially if you need to present a ticket before turnstiles at a police or stewards corden.

Hope you get sorted.

Oh no wait it’s a national cup final during a pandemic the week before Christmas with the emergence of a new variant of coronavirus that’s being plastered all over the news and putting the ****s up everybody myself included. Your points are all valid, but have to agree to that we should’ve sold an allocation of under 20,000 easily. If fans choose not to go because of current health worries, that’s understandable, but for EVERYONE to agree it should’ve been a 50/50 split, then still defend us not selling our allocation, it is embarrassing.

Omicron was barely mentioned when the argument first erupted.

What happens at cup finals at Wembley just out of interest? I can’t remember cup finals where there were opposing fans in one another’s half of the stadium?
Take the 2016 finals for example: Crystal Palace v Man United where United could have sold out Wembley twice over akin to Celtic could do with Hampden; but the FA instantly go nope, it’s a national cup final and both sides get half the stadium and that’s tough titty.

Season ticket holders were offered 2 each during first batch with no health worries, & it still had to go to a general sale. The extra 2000 if it was Hearts would’ve been snapped up immediately, even with the health worries.

So it’s ok to morally have half a stadium, even if the end is half empty?
Surely you get 50/50, & if you can’t sell your quota, they go to the opposition? Only fair to let fans go who want to go.

That’s what any sensible person would have done. However this is Scottish football.

As you said before, all my points in my last post were valid. That’s why there will be empty seats in our end, but we were well within our rights ya have taken half the seats at the game based on a last history of finals: not based on a health scare that has only come to a head in the last week.

Be honest here. You could tell with the slow sales that there was never enough interest to sell 50% of stadium. I’m still hopeful that we can shift the 19,500 though.

Email the ticket office and ask if they can be reprinted at hampden or get someone else to collect for you.

By the way, I don’t give a 💩 what other fans say about us. No interest in other teams either. 100% Hibs.

So why are our sales "embarrassing" you?

We should have been offered a 50% of the tickets from the outset. If we didn't sell them all, the remainder should have been given to Celtc, assuming they had sold out.

Because Celtc were given the lion's share, Hibs fans understandably felt cheated.

If we have a couple of hundred left, so what? That number couldn't be reallocated because of segregation etc.

Fwiw, I've got a ticket but I won't be going because of Covid, and although Omicron wasn't a huge issue a few weeks ago, people were still wary about crowds so attendances have been lower anyway.

It’s embarrassing as I’ve said previously, EVERYONE was up in arms and pointing out statistically how we always sell our allocation easily. So to then struggle to sell under 20,000, I think that makes us look a bit silly.

we’ve got about 170 tickets left. I think we have technically sold out , but there are quite a few returns due to covid tests, isolating and omicron fear. There will be a few empty seats in the Celtic end too methinks

Absolutely this, there's gonna be empty seats in both ends due to folk testing positive and folk getting squeaky bummed about the new strain since buying their tickets. The difference between us and Celtic on that front is that a Celtic fan has a far better chance of getting a taker for the ticket he cant or wont use than a Hibs fan does.

I actually think that any team outside the old firm taking pretty much 20k to a league cup final at this time of year and given the circumstances with covid is an excellent effort.

Absolutely is an excellent effort the week before Christmas with a pandemic on brilliant effort I would say. Most important thing is the ones that are there need to get completely behind the team for the full game irrespective of score.

If they sit there quietly then theres no need for them to be chucked out let alone be "battered."

I've sat in the opposite end at various stadiums when I couldn't get a ticket for the Hibs end.

Not saying i'd want that but if you sit in the opposing fans end in a cup final you should know there is a good chance that could happen. People will be on the drink early doors. Playing with fire imo.

What's your background in virology?

Don’t need one to use the numbers that the experts are giving. There’s a reason that none of them talk about the risk of hospitals/ICU’s/deaths. All they talk about is cases rising, but can’t/won’t tell you what risk that poses. If the NHS is struggling with the current numbers then that tells you all you need to know about how neglected it has become under this government. I’m also sure if they were truly worried about the possibility of severe health implications then they would use the money they’ve siphoned away for an Indy campaign.

Where’s the relevance of that? We keep hearing how we have no money to put proper stops in place and blaming Westminster - I’m sure public health would take priority over independence in the money terms. Biting the bullet here...

I have 2 tickets in the West for sale. They're a couple of rows apart. Will sell singly or as a pair.

Heavy heart... it's the first final I have missed since 1975.... but too many people rely on me and my boy staying well over Christmas.

So... not going to be difficult to deal with. Pay full price if you can, or pay what you can, or pay me nothing and make a donation to HSL, KfK, Dnipro, HCF, whatever.

(and if anyone is looking in that knows how the donation of tickets works, PM me....)

Total cases in England, just over 9.5million.
Total cases in Scotland, just over 788,000.

If you do the calculation you'll probably find its more per head in England than Scotland.
Neither country has done particularly well but Scotland seem to bring restrictions in ahead of England almost every time.

I have already had to cancel a shortbreak and two restaurant bookings (no big hardship). Were never going to get out of this pandemic. Folks get vaccinated, get yir boosters and hopefully we can learn to live with it, we cant keep going into bloody lockdowns, :grr::grr:

I still can’t see anywhere (apologies) in that link that shows the 30% increase? And the first link really says nothing, instead of being happy there is limited people in hospital, they turn that into a negative and decide that means they can’t determine the severity of the illness. Surely less people in hospital while cases rise = a good news story and a less severe illness (vaccines working).

HI MATE, THIS IS WHAT I HAVE PULLED FROM THE TELEGRAAF.

RIVM boss Jaap van Dissel calculated in the House of Representatives this week that the same growth could lead to 600 hospital admissions per day, of which 100 to 125 in IC - in a 'favourable' scenario. By comparison, at the peak of the current wave, in late November and early December, there were about 400 hospitalizations per day, about 50 of which were in ICUs.
he variant breaks through the immunity of vaccines or previous illness more quickly. An extra shot, a booster, seems to work. That is why the Dutch booster campaign has become a race against the omicron variant.

There wasn’t a 30 percent increase on the news which I listen to dailly they have been coming down Although I fully expect they will start to rise again

IMO those that are being cautious and acting responsibly are those that are learning to live with it not hiding from it. That's called facing up to a problem, which is completely different to ignoring it.

Here is what we actually know about the variant:

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/17/no-evidence-that-covid-omicron-variant-less-severe-than-delta-uk-study.html

Hospitalisations in Scotland are up 30% since Monday and variant is only just starting to impact : https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-daily-data-for-scotland/

I looked at the Scotgov figures and hospitalisations are 20% down. 40 down to 33. Where are you getting your figures? In South Africa, hospitalisations are coming down in the last week see https://www.nicd.ac.za/diseases-a-z-index/disease-index-covid-19/surveillance-reports/daily-hospital-surveillance-datcov-report/

Of course, everyone must make their own assessment of risk - I am travelling by car and not doing the bus/pub bit.

I’ve got a spare ticket for the west if anyone wants it, it’s in the front row I think so not the best, but I’m not looking for anything for it.

Your message was just about lost in all the other *****3 getting discussed on this thread. The title of this thread is LC FINAL TICKETS.

Any idea if we sold out after? With the amount of people offering their tickets away I doubt it will be full regardless.

I reckon technically we have sold out but there has been returns and people not going due to omicron. The tickets were pulled from the website yesterday morning and the last I looked there was about 150 left. I suspect Hibs have bought them and added to the donations to charities, schools , Hibs staff. So 200 plus folk got tickets free who couldn’t afford to go at Xmas , some getting a free bus to Hampden. All in all a good show by Hibs fans, the club, community foundation and HSL and get it right up the whinging Celtic fans plus the media

There will be between 2 and 3 thousand vacant seats in our end due to concerns about the omicron variant. I would expect similar in the Celtc end. This will have nothing to do with unsold tickets for any pathetic Daily Mail journalists looking in

After all the fuss about tickets and delivery on them.

I was running late due to trains from down south and was sent a bar code which worked on my mobile phone to get into the ground.

Stupid were relying on post when that system clearly works!.

Official attendance was over 48,000 in the end. It still means that the Hibs v Killie final in 2007 has the largest attendance of any league cup final since Hampden was redeveloped. Strange that Mr Doncaster never mentioned this in any of his justifications for the ticket allocation...

Why were "Hibs" fans in the Celtic end?

Saw that article Whoever sold on the tickets to Celtic fans are to blame If hibs knowingly sold any to Celtic fans then fair enough but doubt that’s the case
However if he is right and there were about one hundred Celtic fans round about him then maybe it needs to be made clear to stewards that as soon as it’s clear they are in the wrong end they get turfed out
If that message goes out They then iether sit and watch game and behave or they do t take the risk of buying in first place
The dad and daughter shoukd surely have been allowed to move as plenty empty seats down below them

The picture of them clearly show's them in the Celtic end of the South Stand not the Hibs end.

Yes, you're correct.

The are in the Hibs end. Look at the word Hampden on the seats of the North Stand, it’s back to front. iPhone cameras invert the photograph when taken in selfie mode.

Sorry but there weren't hundreds of Celtc Fans in that area of the ground. There was probably a few but they certainly didn't make the experience intimidating for the overwhelming number of Hibs supporters.

The incident mentioned in the newspaper was disgraceful, especially with all the kids sitting around, but it was caused by two Celtc Fans (one of whom looked like he was about sixteen) that stupidly celebrated their side scoring, but mostly by the handful of middle aged Hibs fans that attacked them.

Some people on here actually wanted that to happen. Openly saying Celtic fans in the Hibs end should get battered and chucked out...
