I often see him in the Ferry Road Morrisons. Milk sales in Dingwall are about to go through the roof. I’ve never seen so much variety of milk types as well as quantity in one person’s trolley. It shouldn’t be a surprise, though, that he likes the white stuff :wink:

I suspect , considering the education and anti racism work he has done in atonement to his horrible texts, MacKay is probably more aware and understanding of racism than many of us ..he’s probably better prepared to explore and support anti racism now than many are

I’ve had dinner with him, know people who know him very well and have worked with him a lot. I respect them and they trust and respect him..He’s a guy , got caught making hateful comments..learned a lot from it ..I’ve no doubt about that ....

Regardless tbh - the likelihood of someone going through his experience and not learning from it is much less likely than someone coming out of it a better person ....

Met him and his family a few years ago when his father was getting an MBE. Had a long chat about football and he came across as a sound guy. Saw him a year or two later at a bar on Hanover St and he recognised me and bought me a drink. Wish him all the best.

If he signed for any other club he would have got a wage, payoff or not. He played for us for free and has my up most respect in doing so.

They’re going to struggle for someone decent now. They’ve got 2 very tough CL qualifiers before the league gets going and are going to need to bring in something like 10 first team players. There’s a good chance of getting a doing in Europe and then the manager will already be under extreme pressure

No idea if Ange will get the Celtic job, or if he'll do well if he does, but having seen his teams play here in Oz, I'd have loved him to get the Hibs job the last couple of times we've been looking. His Brisbane team were a joy to watch - Barca on a budget :greengrin . He's had success at a couple of A league clubs and managed the national team. No idea how he's got on since he left Australia though.

The criticism that could be levelled at him would be similar to Hughes and Stubbs Hibs teams - lovely passing and movement, lots of possession, but sometimes a lack of cutting edge - think Falkirk semi-final. With a budget that would allow him strikers and creative midfielders of the type Celtic can sign compared to the rest of the SPL, I doubt that would be an issue for them.

He saved them from relegation out the football league completely by overturning a 17 point deficit in half a season then got them promoted to League One. Then he left, came back and took them from League One to the Prem and kept them in it for 5 years.

They were 5 seasons in the Premiership. If that was his spending in those 5 seasons alone it would still be hardly anything for down there imo.

Throw in 2 seasons in the Championship and I’d suggest that could be called a shoe string budget down there.
