I think all my moaning is because I have had nothing to be excited about at work.... well now the signings are rolling in i'm in a much better mood! :greengrin

Really think 4 or 5 quality signings would do it for me. I'd like to see us build around the likes of Hanlon, Booth, Forster, Stanton, Harris and Cummings.

I like that we are focusing on development of young players and are totally changing the structure of the club to support this.

If we don't go up this year it is not a disaster IMO. Rangers should finish top and the playoff guarantees nothing. Can't see Hearts going up either!

If we have got 4 or 5 players either signed or all but signed I'd rather we announced them one at a time, keep the positive publicity coming out of the club for as long as possible, it also gives the club time to continue to work behind the scenes while there is a lot of focus on the latest signings.

If we had 5 players signed I'd be more than happy to announce them one a day rather than 3/4 on the same day.

That being said, as long as the players coming in are of a higher standard than we've been used to lately thwy could annouce them all at 3am on Thursday morning and I'd be equally as happy

That is the most important point. I'm not sure yesterday's signing fulfils that criteria but we will have to wait and see.
We will need much higher quality if we are to be promoted this season.

I used to be in the know as I was related to a former employee of the club but now on the other side of the fence and it's a nightmare. Understand that ITK posters can't compromise their sources identity or name players but I actually could as it was not traceable :wink:

We have waited over week before to announce a player and regularly the club waits over a few days to announce a signing. It's just been the Hibs way.

That's exactly it Brog. Hibs have had deals fail at the last min before and it will happen again. Situations arise where a player can get a call from another club or family have told a player they don't want to live in Edinburgh.

I do think most on the board take it for what it is. Just a few that maybe get a bit uptight! I just try to give my view on these things and try give them a bit info they may not get through media until a bit later on.

In the past we've gone with mass culls then mass signings when a manager arrives/departs.

4 quality signings along with a few other younger players (maybe another 4) and we should be doing ok.

Don't know why but I love us signing unheard of youngsters that have came through the academies etc.

I don't know if it's to do with what Mowbray done or just there sheer passion for the game and aren't fazed by anything and often have a swagger about them. I'm glad by the looks of it anyway, Stubbs has alot of young players like this in mind from his Everton days and is utilising it well

The Twitter one is a joke. I lasted about about 1 week with it last year. Every single thing on that feed is lifted from here and posted on the Twitter page 15 mins later preceded by the words "I'm hearing..." Or "my sources tell me..." I reckon the guy doing that is about 15.

The person is copying and pasting information from another source and sticking it right out on twitter. This IMO will prevent posters that have genuine info from posting on this board as they may not want it all over twitter. Neither will Hibs probably. The info we get may dry up due to this.

I take your point in general but no it's not. Twitter pages can be made private - anyone can read the information on this forum, anyone. On a serious note I got pissed off at our lack of transfer activity then chilled out about it for no apparent reason, I think it's cos I like Stubbs and everything he's saying so I've got confidence in him......I'm starting to get a bit pissed off again though.

I think we would only get about 20-25 games from him in the season however he'd be guaranteed to score a screamer against the Yams so I'd take him.
