Out of these 3 i only see Boyd as being a threat for getting goals the other 2 really don't bother me to much, The Rangers will only play one upfront in games and it will more than likely be Boyd who gets the shout, folk giving the Rangers to much credit, they were pretty pish last season, Hibs will walk the championship.

Agreed. We had a hellish season which got turned into a nightmare one under Butcher. But even a moderately sensible manager with a half-decent team should be able to blow away the garbage in the championship.

I'm surprised at that - Daly is a handful , would love him in our team, he's dominated us on a number of occasions . And Miller is a great partner up front - willing runner , even for his age - only last year still playing for Scotland at Wembley - I'm sure he will get 20 goals this season ...plus nicky law and the boy Clarke - they are building a strong squad for our league . We will have to dig deep to compete - interesting times

Daly will either warm the bench or get moved in to the defence, slower than a week in the jail so he is, won't lose any sleep over him next season, the other two should get goals but i keep saying this is a tough league and will they be up for the rough and tumble that comes with it, i expect Boyd will be but not to sure about Miller and will McCoist play both of them upfront, another we factor is how there bodies/legs will cope with playing on 3G pitches a number of times in a season, and just to add when i seen them last season they were normally pish at the back, nothing to fear from the huns, the Hibs will stroll this league.

It's one thing being up for the game when you're playing for Scotland against them at Wembley. That doesn't mean he'll fancy it in the same way when it's against Dumbarton in the pishing rain.

I think Miller will be decent enough for them, but Boyd will be the only one getting 20+ goals.

time will tell, I didn't see Daly at all last year, but the season before he was almost unplayable at times - so expect to see him as one of their main target men for a big part of next season. He isn't fast, but neither was Higdon, who won player of the year in his last season up here...think you are underestimating Daly's current level of performance - that said - hope you're right! :) As for the stroll the league comment...haha, at the moment our squad wouldn't even stroll league 2! so we need a quality set of incomers to compete at the top of this table that's for sure..

I think Daly will play centre half next season, done a job there for Utd a couple seasons ago, definitely better than their rank rotten defence right now.

Daly was decent the first half of the season then Sally refused to rest him at all and was burnt out for the second half and was hopeless. I wonder how his legs are fairing. He's a physical lad and will do well for them this season. But lets hope lightning strikes twice and he gets tired by midway and then its like they have 10 men on the field.

At the back Moshni is absolutely hopeless. Biggest waste of a jersey ive ever seen and that includes our trumpets that turned up for us last season. While I don't think we will walk this division. Its there to be won.

Getting rid of higher earners deemed surplus to requirements was always going to happen to free up players budget for Stubbs It's what he then does with that money and quality of player he brings in that is now crucial to how we go forward .

Well we will have out chance early doors in the cup game to see how we do They may well have a dodgy defence but they won't be finished doing business in Transfer Market so I wouldn't be writing them off and like you say we at this stage have no real idea who we will be signing or how difficult it will be to attract players to club .Boyd and Miller I will cause us problems ,proven goalscorer s .

That's a good move by them I think ,as jack Ross was rated by St Mirren who would of kept him in a coaching role .Not sure how many coaches they have Billy but they will invest in brining through youngsters over the next few years as the way forward and getting the right people in key jobs is crucial as you know from watching our young teams a lot so if we are losing Boozy to Dumbarton I assume you would see that as big loss for us .

I wouldn't think there's any way Everton will be loaning Shane Duffy to Hibs. He's expected to be in and around the first team this year, especially with Europe to contend with. The only other centre halves at the club are Jagielka, Stones and Distin. Alcaraz is never fit, and was a shambles every time he played. Duffy had a run in the 1st team two years ago and was excellent, but Moyes never gave the kids a chance, regardless of how good they may be. He's too good to go on loan again. If you were to loan anyone from Everton, I'd expect it to be someone like John Lundstram, Conor McAleney, Matthew Kennedy, Hallam Hope, Tyias Browning, Chris Long or Conor Grant. All highly rated youngsters, but in desperate need of first team football.

I just don't think 3 centrehalves is enough for Everton this year, they will need all 4. Especially considering how inexperienced, albeit talented, John Stones is and how old Distin is. He can't go on forever. Shane Duffy is a very good centre half, lacks a bit of pace but is an excellent defender, and most of us have been baffled by him being sent on loan by Moyes year after year. The past season Martinez brought in his own guy in Alcaraz and thought he'd be ok to let Duffy go on loan again, but he's expecting him to play this year.

From the players I've listed above, Browning is a centrehalf, very inexperienced but Martinez loves him and is desperate for him to get out on loan somewhere. Lundstram (CM) and McAleney (FW) are probably closest to getting first team action on a regular basis, but could probably do with a year on loan. Although, and no offence here, it would probably be at a higher level than the Scottish 1st Division. Matthew Kennedy is a Scottish winger who's pretty exciting but seems a way off the 1st team so might be an option. Connor Grant is a classy centre midfielder, but is way down the pecking order, and the younger Ryan Ledson who's 'the next big thing' has overtaken him. Chris Long and Hallam Hope are both prolific strikers at youth and reserve levels who need to go out on loan, Hope especially who some think has stalled a little.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

I as a part-time toffee also think Duffy will be involved for Everton this season. I actually don't think he needs this loan move. We certainly do though!

Hopefully some link between the clubs can be formed and who knows if our young players start to develop they may get a move to Goodison in the future! I think Stanton and the Harris of the season before last could make it big.

Danny Galbraith has left Limerick after failing to agree terms on a new contract with the club.

The 23-year-old midfielder, whose contract expired on June 30, will return to Scotland in order to pursue opportunities in the Scottish Premiership.

A former Hibernian winger, Galbraith joined the Shannonsiders in 2013, making 27 league appearances in his first season. However, injury has disrupted his season and he has featured just eight times in the current season, scoring twice.

In a statement released by the club, Limerick thanked Galbraith for his services and wished him "all the best" in his future endeavours.

They got a reasonably successful manager with loads of ambition and backed him with transfers when he asked for them, they then go on to do well in a league without Rangers, this season there's no Rangers/Hibs and Hearts, wonder how well they'll do now, also seeing Dundee U are selling all their youngsters.

3 players pending international clearance is what I'm told to believe.

Many teams announce a signing when pen is put to paper.

At Hibs, a signing is announced sometimes once international clearance is obtained, some times to tie in with something else, sometimes to fill an otherwise slow news week in the summer etc etc.

The only time Hibs announce a player to have signed PRIOR to international clearance is when the player's former club announces it first.

Like I said in a PM to someone on here last night there was talk of parading a number of signings together later in the week. 2 deals were done with another 1 being finalised was the last I have been led to believe. Think they will be announced today but that's just my view could decide to hold off but I don't think they will.

My guess is that it is McFadden, a Goalkeeper and a loanee from Everton.

Could be Ojamaa, but doubt it. Don't know where the Sun got their info from.

Who else has been linked? Hallam Hope, Shane Duffy?

I'm excited! I'm sure it will be announced in due course....

Anybody pulls on the green (and sometimes white) shirt will get my full backing. I know we've been linked with this lad in the past, I've only ever saw a handful of games he's played in on Sky (is it the same lad who played for Preston?), and he looked pretty good, likes to overlap with the wingers and hit the by-line from what I remember. Nope did you , average attendence last season 2500 with a wage turnover of 1.1 million.
Hibs wage turnover last season was 4.4 million and as a fan we have been asked to pay the same prices this season sorry if i was expecting more from our first signing.
You are comparing a teenager who was signed by Dundee Utd and is on a upward spiral to a 26 yo whos has been dropping down the leagues .
