You haven't seen an improvement since Maloney or Ross? I suggest your eyes are painted on then.
We sometimes play attractive football, I'll grant you that, but often without an end result
For a simple comparison:
15 games into last season: Pts 19, GF 18, GA 19,
------- Still in the League Cup (having beat Kilmarnock, Dundee Utd and Rangers)
Ross was sacked one week later
15 games into this season: Points 20, GF 18, GA 22
------- Out of the League Cup (having failed to beat Falkirk and Morton)
You must admit, it's not great.

There's a clear improvement there, are you blind?
EVENTUALLY

Based on what I've seen in the last couple of weeks and given we are in 7th place, no I've not seen an improvement.
LJ has got the side playing forward more progressively. There is nothing like the amount of sideways passing from left to right and then right to left with a pass into midfield being returned for another episode of cross field passing that often brought the opposition onto defenders who ended up playing the ball back to the goalie to hoof up the park. Ross and Maloney's styles were turgid. We are struggling just now and that is clearly at LJ's door but I'm in no doubt his style of play with better players will be a better spectacle and worth supporting.

And when you move onto Maloney their records are very similar with Maloney having had tougher fixtures.
This idea that your eyes are painted on if you’re not seeing improvement isn’t really backed up by the results.
The football was a wee bit better to watch for 4 or 5 weeks but it started off pretty crap, had a decent wee spell and has went back to being absolutely crap.

Dunno what the **** you have been watching all season then as it's clearly better, not perfect, but clearly better across the season so far

Football is all about results, games we have won is mainly v 10 men.
We can’t score, we can’t defend a cross balll
We got emptied out the league cup at the group stage
The manager picks the same players , week in week out.
He needs to sort it out and drop at least
3 or 4 who are hiding
If you think we have improved - 🙈🙈🙈

I posted a comparison to where we were 15 league games into last season and, I have to be honest, I'm struggling to see the improvement.
Yes, there's been some games (or parts of games) where we've played reasonably attractive football but we've scored the exact same number of league goals, conceded three more and our results in the League Cup are so much worse.
And that was a comparison to the lead up to a manager being sacked.

I agree with you. Maybe it's due to the fact that the location of Iain G is London and he hasn't seen much of Hibs 'live' so far this season.
I was there on Tuesday night. It was a complete and total shambles. Spineless and totally lacking in any creativity. Against St Johnstone the capitulation was embarrassing.
Ross County & St Johnstone at home.
There has been no progress. None since Johnson came in.

No, we shouldn't. Since they got rid of the U21 league I'm not sure people realise how far away these kids are. They're not 19/20 year olds coming in, most are 16-18. One look at them, and you can see they're not physically ready yet. Alex Harris, Sam Stanton and Danny Handling are 3 perfect examples of why you can't just throw kids in. All three had the ability, but all 3 we're very small and slight, throw them in too soon and you risk shattering their confidence.
They need a loan ideally first.
Are they any sleight-er than Henderson? Appreciate not quite a like for like as he has had a couple of loans so has experience of the physicality of first team football.
Fletcher was drip fed in at 17, Whittaker, Brown, Thomson & Riordan (but for 3 games at Cowdenbeath) were all sleight and still to grow into their bodies when they came onto the scene. I know there is a middle ground to giving them experience on loan and throwing them into the first team en masse. For me that middle ground is putting them on the bench instead of the likes of McGregor, Fish, Bojang etc and give them 10 or 20 minutes whenever possible until they are out on loan.

I was surprised at the size of most of the 19s mate if I'm honest they look nowhere near ready to make the jump up to the first team imo
More than ready than Melks tbh.

Johnson's interview on the BBC.

Just more talk from Lee! Just telling us what fans want to hear. Yes be great to be 3rd etc just don't see how we will with him in charge now. Best to keep stump and prove the talk on the pitch

A good clip of Pep talking about the benefits of giving managers time even after an initial rocky patch.
