I dont like cricket.
I don’t like reggae.
The Western Terrace on the Saturday of an Ashes Test is an atmosphere to behold. Mate is a club member at Lancashire, so been to Old Trafford a few times. Also watched Test cricket at Lord's, The Oval, and Eden Park, NZ. Enjoyed them all.
Attended a 20-2O game at Eden Park. Couldn't take to it.
I have been to all forms and planning on taking in that nee 100 balls one.
They are all different and enjoyable in own way. I took a friend to 20/20 who hated cricket and now comes every year.

You must be hard to please. I attended a 6-6 game at Motherwell and just about wet myself with excitement.

It’s a much better participation sport, than a watching one
I always turn it off
Fantastic game to watch at professional level.
Plus added bonus of being treated and accordingly behaving as adults.
Different formats appeal to different audiences. Personally I like the test matches which are indeed a test of mental and physical endurance.

Cricket is a sport I can never take to. It also must be one of the lowest participation sports in Scotland.
You're well wide of the mark there.

No time for cricket, forced to play it at school, never liked playing or watching it.
You're well wide of the mark there.
In 2016 it was estimated that around 17,000 people play cricket in Scotland

My email and password for the Hibs ticket site has randomly stopped working. It doesn't even recognise my email address which is bizarre. My brother who has a separate account has the same issue. Does anyone have a reliable number for the ticket office that I can call tomorrow?

I’ve bumped into a few Jambos last couple of days. They seem to be getting their season tickets pretty cheap this season, due to a promise from Budge. Some getting their tickets for up to £200 off. Even 8000 at £200, is a massive hole in their season tickets finances

Are they? I was told by a hearts fan that this would happen and that the refund was due if they didn’t login to watch a match online. I posted that a while back but someone on here told me it was wrong and that my mate should read the rules again.

They are getting up to 9 games credit, if they won’t intake it. Around £25 per game credit, that’s can be deducted from this years price
They are only on around 7000 or so just now, v 11000 last season, so money must be tight

I don't think it's a 9 game credit it's 4 or 5 I think. My mate paid £280 instead of £380. He did say there was an option to pay the full price which he politely declined

Our group had 4 renewals plus a new one for a mate who had let his lapse a few years ago.
Does anyone know roughly when new season ticket holders will receive their new season card ?
I've looked at our season ticket FAQs but I can't see an estimate for new cards being sent out

The ticket office staff were great organising our seat move.
We bought another season ticket so had to move to get us all together. We gave up brilliant seats in the front row of the West Upper for seats near the back of West Lower. Should be just as good and we don't have the treck up the stairs every game:wink: That's good news if you're getting on a bit and are carrying a little excess round the waist. :agree:

A good season to move.
The top of the lower west sounds good to me. You will be high enough to see well and avoid the rain!
The problem with the West upper is that a massive chunk of the central section is corporate.
The East doesn't have that issue and we are close to opposite the half way line.
The downside in the East is it is horrific to get out at the end of the game with the rest of the stadium always empty long before we can escape.
Fingers crossed we are in our new seats no later than August 28th.

Also carry a monocular to identify subs, injured players etc
Would bring a blanket to keep my legs warm in winter but would get the hole ripped oot o me!

Likewise. Emailed the TO late Friday afternoon not expecting a reply until Monday but they came back within 30 mins and got my seat move all sorted. Funnily enough, Id asked about 2 seats at the front S11 in the West Upper and the TO came back to say that a couple of seats in row AA of S12 had just come up, so did I want these instead as closer to the halfway line.
Might have been the two seats you gave up?

Yesterday was the last day for them renewing their season tickets.
Apparently hit the 10,000 mark whilst Aberdeen are still shy of 8,000.
Can see all 3 being allowed circa 5,000 fans in the grounds next week. 25% capacity.
Hope that can double from August 9th which would see all season ticket holders in leaving only Old Firm supporters frothing.

Can't see it at the moment but hoping we can have at least 50% of ER capacity by our 2nd home league game on 30th August which as I said would allow all season ticket holders to attend.
Our covid cases have fallen and appear locked on a still high 2000 per day with positive test at 8-9%. Hospital cases showing signs yesterday of turning which is the next stage of wave recovery. 3 more weeks to get our **** together.
England in comparison, covid cases now out of control, 50,000 a day Eurotastic stylee payback.
Worst in the world, the maniacs need to be on a similar open up timetable to us.

I noticed that the club have posted there's 10,700 Season Tickets sold now - Feels like we've been stuck on or around the 10,500 mark for an age. Wonder what more the club/new CEO could do to encourage folks to get their ST?
- With confirmation of full attendances being back
- A new payment plan option is available till Early Sep
- 3 Different price packages available for fans
A marquee signing or two in order to boost the numbers?
Or reintroduction of loyalty points system?

Looking at the feedback fans were giving around the Killie game we also may need to accept there are some who the cost of regular football is (understandably) just not viable right now, and others who are finding it difficult to justify every second weekend at the football instead of with family after spending their weekends in 2020 doing so.
I'm not saying there aren't things we can try but we need to be careful to not devalue the cost of the tickets already purchased with new pricing packages/options when it may only make a negligible difference to sales but disenfranchise those who paid their money months ago.
Keeping the team's good form going is the best way to get fans back.

I'm going to toil to get my son back to the games now. During lockdown he took up many different interests. Probably only watched a handful of our games on TV last season also.

Would we normally expect to sell lots of season tickets after the season has already started? I know this isn’t exactly a normal season, but I’d doubt we’ll sell many more unless they’re a bit cheaper, the value has gone now.

10.7k season tickets sold this season …not sure how many less than last few seasons that is . Mixed thoughts on this - incredible amount during such a strange time we’ve all gone though , yet many down on what we had ..our average attendance was around 14.5k (from memory) before this madness - looks like we will be some way (20%??) off that this season …..big reduction of income that for the club ….
Completely understand individuals making different choices yet a shame the club is having to rebuild numbers again

Rubbish information on it's own.
It would only be truly interesting if clubs including Hibs and Hearts stated the total value of season ticket sales.
Without that information valid comparisons are not possible.
Clubs like all big businesses like to control the narrative so communications are generally non specific unless they want something from us.

I wonder if some are feeling a bit ripped off, for want of a better phrase? I renewed but I can't help but feel that some sort of added value should have been given to those of us who stuck it out through the worst of it?
We missed a good few games at the end of the lockdown season then paid full price for a whole season of telly games. I can't help but feel that the club probably should have added some value, even just half price strips or something like that.
Maybe for some fans that was the swaying factor in deciding against it this year?

Perhaps, but I believe if the money is out there fans will buy. I suspect with furlough's, redundancies etc, etc, there might not be as much money out here. Folk are maybe prioritising and that would mean unless Hibs do something that makes folk sit up and pay attention then STs won't be a priority. That's a pity imo because I've seen some great footy from Hibs already this season, certainly better than the home games of last season. If Hibs had gotten through to the play off stage and then the group stage, I think some fans who are on the borderline of being able to afford a ST would have gone that extra mile and found a way to get one, adding perhaps a few more hundred to the number.

I like this idea, could be a good one to mention to the club.
With still over a week until the Livingston game, hopeful that ST numbers could still get a 'wee bump', genuinely think a marquee signing could encourage another few hundred lapsed ST holders to get theirs. It's a good time to be a Hibs fan and I've a feeling this could be one of those season's folk don't want to miss.

The **** have closed their season ticket sales, finishing on 12,500, and are absolutely crowing about it compared to ours.
I couldn't care less than but I wouldn't mind betting that we have taken in more cash than them.

We have currently 0 kicks for kids seasons, so wouldn’t be difficult for the club to see sense

I'm not sure why any Hibs Fan would really care about that, TBH.
But if we had better numbers than them there would be plenty of crowing here would there not?
I’m disappointed we don’t if I’m being honest but I do understand the reasons.

Suspect after Saturday it will all but game over on season ticket sales front.
Before that date they will attend the same number of games as everyone else bar the ones that were successful in the Ross County ballot so nothing lost.

I'd like us to have season ticket sales always available and just take off what the games already gone have cost. Given the price of walks ups some may decide to take the option up part way through so they can budget more easily

Down around 1000 or so? Can’t remember exactly but don’t think it would’ve been above 12k last year.

I wonder whether free ST for some of them meant tgey could donate the price via their equivalent of HSL thus avoiding taxes. Sneaky if so.

There are issues with that as a regular thing but there is definitely a case for that option for this season.
Probably ignore the Ross Co game given the limited ST holding supporters that saw the game and then take £22 of the price for anyone who buys between the Livingston game on Saturday and our 3rd home game.
There are 2,000 season ticket holders to target from 2 years ago. A wee letter to them from Hibs saying they are missed and with an appropriate offer for a slightly reduced price might be enough to get a couple of hundred back in and back in the habit which could bring in an extra £75k for this season budget

I bought a 3/4 season ticket for Hibs once, nearly 20 years ago. Not sure when they stopped doing those, but this might be a good year to bring them back.

I think you should be able to buy them all season. Every game that passes drops the price of it.

I wonder how many are like me, a season ticket holder for longer than I care to remember, and before that a walk up fan home and away who rarely missed a game ( never at home ).
Covid and lock downs certainly put things into perspective for me, my last game was the 1-3 against our noisy neighbours and I'm not planning on going back anytime soon. Though if it was like the old days (cash turnstiles) I might be tempted back.

Aye. You'd have only been sent a new one if you'd moved seats or price category (kid to adult/adult to over 65 etc).

This is supposed to have been the case but some people did receive new cards despite not moving seat or price category.
I personally didn't but I don't think this was ever addressed by the club.

I probably worded it wrongly as usual but I would go last minute to the odd game if I was around Leith at the time, the fact you have to go to a ticket booth to queue and then wait in another queue to get in doesn't appeal to me anymore, allied to the fact you don't know who you'll be sitting next to.

Go to the ticket office instead and say can I sit as far away from people as possible.
Joking aside, I got few executive tickets before lockdown and the sections are pretty empty. Nice seats too.

I never got a new card but they did send me a new eCard. I have checked the QR scan on them and they are different. I usually us my actual card to get in so I will be disappointed if this is going to be an issue, I cannot use my phone as it doesn't fit in the slot to allow it to be scanned. I am now worried my card won't work on Saturday.

I wouldnt worry about two queues. By the time you get through the queue to buy your ticket, most will already be in their seats.

Unfortunately a bit of a mess again on the Comms front. I've got an old season ticket, and and old e-ticket which was never used and have no idea if that's going to work at the stadium...
Meanwhile others are saying they've received new e-tickets and even some saying new cards without moving seats. Turn up and hope it works I guess...

Thanks, I tried that and got the confirmation email but it only says:
“ If you have renewed your season ticket, please remember to retain your existing season card for the new campaign. You will not be issued with a new season card, unless you have changed price class, moved seat or are a new season ticket holder.
All supporters will also receive a digital version of their season ticket by email as we get closer to the start of the season.”
