I think the only thing that might sink Germany is overconfidence/weight of expectation. That, and if they decide to play Mertesacker instead of Hummels. They've a really, really good team and all things being equal they should get to the final at the least.

Good as he was for them I remember seeing him in the flesh at about 17 for Atletico and honestly thought he was going to be the best player ever. Yea, you're right, he played his best stuff at Atletico Madrid.

I used to think that it was a combination of him not being able to handle the pressure of his multi-million price tag, coupled with a growing lack of confidence due to his poor form. Now he just looks miserable every time he plays, then again, he's not really had much to smile about in the past year and a half!

But the T&Cs say they can cancel the free in play bet so if any of them won then they could have refused the in play refund. That was my understanding anyway.

I had placed the bet already so was thankful for the draw.
