After all, it's minority shareholder Budge that makes the decisions and the majority shareholders only find out about them when her Hibby brother turns up with his crew and their JCBs.

Meanwhile all these projects continue to grow the value of the club (therefore increasing the value of her 17.4%) with the donors paying for them but Budge puts in nothing. It's free money for Budge - probably one of the only people on the planet managing to make a profit from "ownership" of a share in a football club. The suckers keep putting it in and she gets her cut of it through increased net asset value, interest on the loans, family contracts for the building work. I'm related to one Foundation of flumps giver and he is adamant Mrs doctor Budge ain't going anywhere soon, she has her freebies and the ability to influence whatever she wants.
