Someone needs to inform the hosts who have it as 20h45, thus 19h45, on their own website
Unless you mean the home leg? That's 19h30.

Interesting. FC Luzern's own public sale began a couple of hours ago. Either the segment right next to ours, D1, is totally sold out already or being held back from sale to them.

Would imagine it's being held for us, if we sell enough tickets. That ties up with Kieran P's comments that there is more tickets for us if we need them.

Think it's already been mentioned but there should be a section of site that requires hibs first membership to be viewed and any ticket links only work from that page so nobody can simply pass link onto someone else.
Even after following the link you need to log into account & assign ticket, I assumed that this would only be possible if you've got the required privileges?

A few hours in Schiphol will get me used to the extortionate beer prices to come in Switzerland.
I presume those who wish to will have the added bonus of being able to enjoy a refreshment in their seat in the swisspoarena or is it like England where it can only be drunk in the concourse? 🍻

1976?
We were home first and it was a horrible evening with a much lower crowd than would have been the case because of the rain. I was half way up the east terrace, soaking.
Harper scored a cracker down the slope, but John Brownlie missed a penalty in the second half.
Hibs scored first in the second leg at Anfield (Alex Edwards free kick) to go 2 up, but John Toshack scored a hat trick to knock us out.
Should have, could have, would have. As usual.
Not bad at all.
From the article I read….
Hibs, who were fifth in the Premiership, last played an English side in the third round of the 1975-76 Uefa Cup, beating Liverpool 1-0 at Easter Road but losing 3-1 at Anfield.

Beer in the supermarket in Switzerland is extremely cheap compared to bar prices, the same volume of feldschlossen that’s 9chf in a bar will be 1.5chf in a supermarket. Just in case anyone is on a tight budget.

The second leg will kick off at 8.45pm (local time), so 7:45pm UK time, at the Swissporarena in Luzern. The stadium has a capacity for 17,000 spectators and the Club have been allocated the full visitors section totalling 796 tickets. Following discussion should the demand for tickets be greater than this FC Luzern have indicated that some additional tickets may be made available to Hibernian Supporters.
Tickets are currently available to Hibs First Members only until 5pm on Wednesday 9 August. After this time, all remaining tickets will become available to Season Ticket Holders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Should this allocation not sellout, tickets will then go on General Sale at 5pm on Friday 11 August.
CLICK HERE (https://www.eticketing.co.uk/hibernianfc/EDP/Event/Index/3567) to purchase a ticket when they go on sale at 5pm on Wednesday 9 August!

You're right. 1975 and Edward's goal was an equaliser but not a free kick. I just found a report which I had to enlarge to read and it looks like it was a sweeping move finished by a 1-2 with Des Bremner.

Seems I'm guilty of thinking I could just log in when the tickets went on sale and purchase some.
Having just checked the email from Hibs there's nothing stating the fixture wouldn't be listed on the events section of the website. Equally there was no Comms around having to follow the link, and only the link, to get tickets.
Let's not get into sitting there and refreshing the clear filters section over and over with nothing changing. Only got to see the section twice and nothing came up when I selected it.

You have to know one thing: The weather is always brilliant when Luzern plays a European game at home. (Except for the Feyenoord game, but then the Covid regulations kicked in.) :greengrin
Looking forward to the game and to our turnaround. Might be in Pickwick's, Shamrock or another bar on Wednesday evening or Thursday daytime to have a pint or two. Since our police tagged this game as "high risk", which is total nonsense, we have to show them idiots that they are wrong.
I only heard good stuff of the people who travelled and that they had a lot of fun in EDI even if the number of fans was a bit embarassing to be honest. Hope you'll have a similar experience at Europe's most beautiful fan zone.

Out of interest, presuming the main Luzern fan drinking area isn't also around the Kappellebrucke, where is it? Not that any of us have any intention of wasting time in the Swiss sunshine looking for trouble, just interested.

On normal matchdays, people drink either in front of the stadium (Restaurant Schützenhaus, also with a matchday DJ), at one of the tents in front of the stadium, at Restaurant Militärgarten, Pallino, Roadhouse or also at Pickwicks and some other bars like Anfield Pub or Tschuppi's. So mainly near the train station or around the stadium. On European games, the police tries to separate the fans and won't let Luzern ultras drink at Pickwicks. They have the approach to dedicate the old town part to the away fans and the "new town" part to Luzern supporters. Generally, every Scottish fan should be fine at any of the named bars or areas above, whether it is on Wednesday or or matchday. As long as there aren't big provocations, everything should be fine. St. Johnstone was similar 9 years ago. Very friendly atmosphere. We even were joined by the Scottish team for a few pints at Roadhouse after the game. :greengrin
On the contrary, the Swedes of Djurgardens came to town with a big mob of ultras and hools, also attacked Luzern fans in Stockholm itself and in the town of Luzern, so the whole game was held in a more hostile atmosphere. I did not see any of this with the Hibs game, so don't expect it to be unfriendly.
The main supporters bar which is run by the Ultras is "Zone 5" at Bundesplatz. On a matchday I wouldn't suggest to go to Zone 5. It is like at many supporter pubs, 90% of the people would be nice, but some hooligans or ultras wouldn't like the presence of away fans. Mixed with alcohol, problems could occur.
Thing is: Zone 5 is located on the way from the train station to the stadium. When walking by, just don't do the usual 'British' provocation stuff like 'the w*nking hand'. Because this in Switzerland usually will lead to trouble as people see you as a problem seeking chap.
The quickest way to get to the stadium will be by S-Bahn (train), Bus Nr. 20 or then walk with the big "fan march" that I think will be allowed by the police.

We have a group of young idiots who if they travel might just try this. More out of naivety on their part as most of them wont have been to European away game before and they will learn the hard way very quickly if they try to act like muppets.
Our fans as a whole wont be looking for trouble though, just some beers and a good time.

So heading to the bars/tents around the stadium about an hour or so before kick off wouldn't be a schoolboy error?

No, no schoolboy error. Just yesterday, there were plenty of YB-fans right in front of the stadium or at the restaurant Schützenhaus. No problem at all in Luzern (if you act like a normal human being as I guess everyone will).
If anyone has got tickets in section C1-5, you have to enter the stadium right next to the 'Kop' without any separation anyway. I never saw this causing trouble.
If you don't want this, buy a ticket in D1-3 or in the away stand.

The official away section is sold out and there was about 12 tickets left of the additional 200 we got on Friday, the away section looks like the views may be hindered by the high fences, thats something we are not used to in Scotland anymore. Very much a European thing that.
