Yep, he was bang on the money. But all that shows is that he and his Marxist comrades have been planning this election fraud for a long time.
Bernie would’ve romped home in W Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan. Minnesota. Then some Texan would have blown his head off with a sniper rifle.

Agree, I believe there is a huge desire for socialism in the US and Saunders might have been able to sell it under another name. Unfortunately there was only one socialist on yesterday's ballot paper, a national socialist.

In PA, Allegheny County has announced that it has suspended counting until after 10am. The county, which includes Pittsburgh and its environs, is the 2nd most populous in the state (after Philly) and has twice as many registered Democrats as Republicans. Almost 150K ballots have yet to be counted.
C’mon!

Curious if it’s just ‘anyone but Trump’ or if you think he’ll be a decent President.
I think Trump will take it without the need for any legal challenge.

Watching CNN, Wisconsin is anything but certain. Milwaukee has finished counting and their analysis is pretty much Trump type counties still to come in. Though these absentee ballots could be for either candidate. With Boden ahead by only 9.5k this is very close.

I think the hope is that because they are mail in ballots which favour Biden and also they are from cities (Green Bay and Kenosha) that Biden will win the majority of what’s left. Trump is over performing in those counties at the moment which suggests that they may be right.

Michigan will be VERY late to declare. Maybe Friday or Saturday.
Ideally you want Biden to break the 270 with the other remaining states first; Georgia Wisconsin and N Carolina, so Pennsylvania and Michigan don’t matter. That makes a legal fight lasting weeks and the resulting civil unrest less likely.
Ive lost track of the senate, s it still looking grim for the democrats?

Update on MI: they're ahead of schedule:
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, who had suggested in the weeks before the election that counting could take until Friday, predicted to reporters Tuesday evening that the state could "potentially see a full result of every tabulation out of Michigan in the next 24 hours." The pace in Detroit, where 120,000 absentee ballots had already been counted by late Tuesday, underscored that the state is on track to be done counting results sooner than expected, Benson said.

Biden also possesses something Trump is incapable of showing, empathy. Having dealt with tragedies in his personal life he knows how much people will be hurting in this pandemic. Trump on the other hand doesn’t give a toss.

Much like Keir Starmer is a bit boring and uninspiring, Biden isn’t exactly Mr Charisma nor does he have any new exciting ideas to really get invested in.
Unfortunately, that’s the antithesis to Johnson and Trump and if we have to put up with two candidates who aren’t exactly brilliant to take some steps back from the precipice then so be it.

Trump, the narcissist that he is, would never admit defeat. So he had to come out saying he’d won.

I watched a documentary about Trump a couple of years ago, in that they claimed he lost many a court case during his years as a “successful” businessman. After losing he would tell the press about the great victory he’d had that day.
Gaslighting is in his genes, he’s a complete moron.

He absolutely did. Rumours were rife yesterday that that's what he was planning. He's been laying the groundwork by claiming mail-in ballots are a dem fraud for weeks.
The strategy was to get ahead in votes counted and then stop counting. Basically a much larger scale version of what Bush achieved in 2000 with the dimpled chads and all that.
His problem is that he's now fallen behind in the counting. Controlling the narrative from the losing position will be much harder for him.

If he loses by a clear electoral college margin, which I think he will, the institutional republican and governmental support around him helping to shore up a legal resistance position will inexorably ebb away. So if its Georgia on top of Wisconsin, Michigan, Maine, Nevada and Arizona he's done and dusted. Pennysylvania would just be the icing on top. It's quite interesting looking at the break down of the vote in each state.
In Florida Biden won in the likes of Miami-Dade which includes Miami, Duval - Jacksonville, Leon - Tallahassee, Orange - Orlando. In Texas Biden won in Harris - Houston, Travis - Austin, Bexar - San Antonio. That trends repeats throughout a lot of states; a big population centre is a likely chance of success for Biden, Trmup is picking up votes in the sticks.

There was a big miss for Biden among Hispanics (Cuban and Venezuelan Americans) in Miami and surrounds. His vote was well down on Clinton 2016 there even though he was still ahead. If he'd matched Clinton he probably would have carried Florida.

That's correct. As long as the votes were posted before the polls closed then it doesn't matter when they arrive.
I think I heard someone say that some postal votes may not show up until next Tuesday but will be counted as long as they were posted off on time.

The twist is a great one. As soon as Biden hits 270 with Nevada and Arizona called every republican is on the spot in having to either support the rule of law and the result or support Trump on a madman's quest. It will fall apart for him pretty quickly at that point.
I actually think that utter **** Mitch McConnell may be early in breaking cover to say its over. Someone will and it will become a torrent.
It may even be his own shaped Supreme Court that gives him the two fingers.

Biden's speech. Four years since we've heard a presidential speech. Crazy.
Feels a bit surreal. It wasn't anything special by any means, but it was night and day from the usual bloviating diatribe from the orange maniac. Some relative normality restored.

He's likely to win while we're asleep. Arizona is counting again now or very soon but I think Nevada has parked the remainder for the day. Right now its lunchtime in Nevada so they may not start counting again until their next day.
If Arizona completes safely it's all but over though because what's left of Nevada should be straightforward for Biden.

Unfortunately they have a shed load of other votes 'in transit' which are eligible to be counted for days yet. Though if Biden hammered over the line with the ones they are already holding just now I suppose it could finish it.

Biden only needs about 2/3 of the remaining mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania to win it, and he's currently getting 3/4, so it's as safe as it can be. Toss-up between NV or PA taking him to the White House. Hurrah!

According to the polls, the whole thing was supposed to be one big Biden victory march. Instead Trump has actually picked up millions more votes than he got last time out. Baffling to our eyes, but it shows how divided a nation the USA is. The fact this has turned out to be such a close, drawn-out affair is the worst possible outcome from that perspective. Even if Biden is ultimately declared the winner, Trump will keep this going for weeks/months.

The Democrats have come close to making the same mistake they did in 2016 ie adopting a 'who could possibly vote for Trump' mantra and dismissing anyone who does so as a thick racist. They had four years to come up with something/somebody better and the best they could do was the deeply uninspiring Joe Biden, a lazy choice whose credentials amount to little more than being the 'not Trump' candidate.
Had Trump's handling of the Covid-19 crisis not been so awful he'd most likely be celebrating four more years in the White House right now.
Not dissimilar to the Brexit vote, where the 'intellectual left' aassumed they represented 'the people' and were left stunned that the majority of the UK electorate didn't think like them. Quite incredibly they contrived to help Boris Johnson appear as the true man of the people!

You could take that point of view. Or you could look at as the Democrats recognised the inherent strength of the Trump base and picked a top ticket that could pick up more votes than any other presidential candidate ever and if he takes Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona, will deliver an electoral college landslide as well as winning the popular vote with an increased margin?

Calling out racism is not the mistake the Democatics made in 2016. Trumps individual racism is overt now, it’s out there and obvious for all to see. People got to vote on that basis. The sad reality is that Trumps racism chimes with the views of millions of American voters. These racists might not be Klan members or might not be violent racists, but they don’t really want non whites as neighbours or to lose their structural advantages that they’ve had since the USA came into being. What is ‘lazy’ is an inability or unwillingness to grapple with these issues. Beating Trump is just a long process of fixing a broken society.

As delighted as I am about the likely Dem victory, it really shouldn’t have been close based on the absolute shambles of the Covid non response. I agree Joe Biden was a poor candidate but due to Bernie Sanders taking all the oxygen in the primaries, the only moderate who could cut through was Joe Biden because of his massive name recognition. If the left flirt with the extreme then they lose. Democrat voters, to their credit, saw the danger and rallied round a moderate candidate who could win.

He did take all the oxygen away from the other Dem candidates. He had a base and organisation that had not been stood down from 4 years earlier. He had a massive fundraising operation already collecting million of dollars. It made it very difficult for young less well known Dem candidates to make any headway especially since Bernie was massively supported by the younger voters they would need to help build any momentum.
Even with all that he couldn’t seal the deal. Biden entered the race very late but wiped the floor with Sanders. It wasn’t even close. Given that he couldn’t win a majority of Dem voters, it’s hard to argue that he could have won a majority in a general election. The left constantly confuses large enthusiastic support among young people on marches or at rally’s with widespread popularity within the population. It was the same with Corbyn.
