Statement from Hummel / Elite
Hummel UK & The Elite Group was proud to have entered into a supplier agreement with Rangers Football Club in good faith in March 2018. We saw this as an opportunity to work together for the benefit of the club, its supporters and the Hummel brand.
“Hummel UK & The Elite Group was proud to have entered into a supplier agreement with Rangers Football Club in good faith in March 2018. We saw this as an opportunity to work together for the benefit of the club, its supporters and the Hummel brand.
“However, despite being given warranties and assurances by the Rangers board that the club was free to enter into their arrangement, it transpired that Rangers had previously signed a conflicting agreement with a third party.
“The club has therefore been unable to fulfil its obligations to Hummel & The Elite Group, which would have included the creation of a Hummel branded area within the Ibrox Megastore, along with crucial marketing activity such as perimeter advertising, player activations, and promotion on the Rangers FC website.
“Hummel UK & The Elite Group has nonetheless made payments to Rangers totalling c. £2.5m and supplied kit worth approximately £1m. Despite doing all of this in good faith, we are now facing some public statements from Rangers which are not correct.
“We have been unable to find a way forward despite making repeated efforts to reach out to the club. It is with regret that we have therefore rescinded our agreement with Rangers FC with immediate effect, due to the club being in material breach of contract.
“We remain willing to try and resolve matters with Rangers FC on an amicable basis. Contrary to reports, Rangers is not owed any further payments from Hummel UK & The Elite Group at this time and we are disappointed by Rangers’ decision to commence legal proceedings in respect of these issues. Those proceedings will not result in any payment to Rangers and are an unwelcome and unnecessary distraction for the club, its fans and Hummel.
“We have now begun our own legal proceedings against Rangers which we are very confident will result in a positive outcome so we can all move forward.”

Article from CQN says that their online store is now selling old Puma jerseys from the 17/18 season. Hope the players don't get any holes in their shirts between now and the end of the season and I imagine the players will be fined if they swap shirts at the end of a game :faf:

Read somewhere that the Hummell story could be a hoax
If they had faced up to the situation when they got back into the top flight they would have accepted that 10 in a row was done and dusted due to Celtic's Champions League / Europa League adventures during their wilderness years and competing with Celtic in the near future over the course of a season was going to be too much for them.
Instead they should have concentrated on a slow rise, within their means or at worst with managable levels of borrowing, to get back to competing with Celtic year in year out for the title.
Of course the hordes can never accept being 2nd, not even for one year, so instead they've decided to embark on "The Road to Administration: The Sequel" which I imagine will conclude next year when it will be do or die in an attempt to stop Celtic from getting 10 in a row.
I can only imagine the scenes if that was clinched at Ibrox.
The problem with the slow build is that they have a structural deficit on Celtic that can’t easily be bridged. Celtic have 10,000 extra seats to sell every game and they have a well established retail operation built up over many years. They are about to add a hotel to that as well. Sevco’s turnover is less than half Celtics even without champions league football.

This is true. In 4 years of potentially no competition they failed to win the Petrofac cup 3 times. So the rate should be higher. When they came up against real competion in a blue riband trophy they somehow managed not to succeed.

Anyone got a link to the Hummel statement? Can only find it on Celtic related sites with quotes but no link to the original. Makes me suspicious.
The only sources seem to be Celtic leaning. Only non partisan report I can find is

but no mention of the Hummel/ Elite statement

In terms of Sporting Integrity I want them to go on winning nothing for as long as possible
It’s the only thing now that gets to them
They keep thinking g they are back but the longer they go without winning anything it confirms they aren’t Even if they are the best of the rest

If they had resisted playing the victim card, shown some humility, not been bought by glib and shameless liars, not hired Jim Traynor, and generally been a whole lot less obnoxious, they might have created a more attractive Phoenix from the flames story and attracted the investment to take Celtc on.
The constant ranting and claims of injustice show that they might be a new club but they’ve learnt nothing.
With £35.4 million of directors debt converted to equity, £11.4 million losses last season and needing £10 million to keep Rangers running to the end of the season, how much are they willing to blow to stop 10 in a row? Will they make wholesale changes - sack Gerrard and sell Morelos? What about the long term contracts of ageing players? Who would they bring in ? How much would it cost? £50 million more needs to be blown for a serious challenge but one that would have no guarantee of success. Going to be good to watch.
Totally agree if they had come back and actually apologised for cheating to everyone in the game and started back not employing dodgy owners and directors who clearly pandered to the Neanderthal element of their support they might have had more empathy from others in the game. Unfortunately they can't help with the attitude of superiority and entitlement that club has running through its veins.
In many ways they are worse as they convince themselves they have been done over. Can remember an interview with the ex manager who is only referred to by his first name, Walter. He was going on about not forgetting who had put the boot into them apparently when they were down on their luck.
They'd be bonkers to sack Gerrard, they've shown year on year improvement under him and I'd give them a 50/50 chance of stopping 10 in a row if he stays for another season. Unfortunately for the Huns I reckon he'll be offsky in the summer while his stock is still pretty high. :lolrangers:
They have to considerably cut their playing budget next season as things stand. Can’t see him staying in those circumstances. They are further behind Celtic now than they were at this stage last season. Not really an improvement.

Hopefully the £2 million they pay us for Kamberi pushes them over the edge and back into another liquidation
Celtic have improved a fair bit since last year though. I think Sevco have got better but the gap is similar.
From Gerrard's pov, he has probably done ok reputationally so far but still has nothing tangible to show for it and no realistic prospect of the sort of money to spend that would get his squad up to par with Celtic's. If he's smart and gets an offer down south then this summer might be a good time to move for him.
They'll only sack him if the Huns lose faith and ST renewals drop.
They need to stop 10 in a row. Gerrard looks like he can't do it. They need a Wim Jansen type of appointment. With four years left on his contract probably a £2 million pay off would do it. Probably a global whip round of Orangemen to raise money for a Stop 10 in a Row.
Heard some Sevco fans saying it’s not good for Scottish Football, one team winning the League all the time, suppose it would be okay though if they were winning it too. Fech them, as much as I dislike that other mob winning it year after year it gives me great pleasure that at least one of them ain’t winning nowt.
assuming it aint gonna be us winning the league i hope sellick win the next five titles at least, sevco mk11 will surely ensue, i just hope the rules were changed allowing them to **** off straight to the lowland leagues
The longer Celtc's run of consecutive league wins continues, the less impressive it becomes as it will only highlight the lack of competition. It'll be the same if they win the treble again this year.
So I can put up with Celtc getting thirteen in a row if it kills off Sevco.
It'll get worse than that.
There will then be another new club that will pay £1 for the honours that Sevco purchased from the liquidation of Huns RIP, wear blue with an orange away strip, play at Ibrox and have "Rangers" somewhere in its name. It'll even have the same knuckledragging bigots for a support as Huns RIP and Sevco.
Totally agree 100% - ok it's not great Septic winning season-after-season but the up-side is knowing what damage it's doing to the Hun !. The average 'Scraper-of-the-Knuckle' will know, deep down, that his team will never emulate this and that realistically his club's future is hoping to be 'Best of the rest' - in other words - SECOND - and even that's not guaranteed !. Once 10-iar is confirmed watch the 'Loyal' prove that they're anything but !
I got sent weird message from a Celtic mate tonight that he'd been sent. Looks like some real Celtic fantasist stuff. It goes on about dressing room splits, bullying, prostitutes, Gerrard's wife, morelos in the huff and some other stuff.
Whilst I dont believe any of it, anything that indicates they might be in turmoil is pleasing to me!!
At it again with the party songs last night.
Hopefully EUFA have taken note and will act upon it.
This maybe controversial but when the huns sing in full voice about their players or about their club it is impressive, so why they need to ruin it by singing about catholics and the pope is totally beyond me. They got a famous victory last night, they managed to get into the last 16 of a Euro tournament and they did it with a great performance away from home and yet what this will be remembered for is the fine and censure that will come from UEFA because they couldn't just sing about their players and team, they had to broadcast to the watching public that the hate catholics and want to fek the pope and the vatican.
Wonder if uefa will order their next game to be played behind closed doors? They have already had to close a section and not learnt anything.
Surely if they are being consistent they have to .But how many times can you fine a club and close sections of their stadium before realising a certain section of their fans will never stop this type of behaviour
What sanctions can they then impose for repeatedly breaking the same rule

looks like they will make a pretty penny from their run too, to keep the afloat, a minimum of 20 million, plus sell one or two players will see them clear.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/5...eporting-story
It’s his European runs and money generated that have kept him in a job His win ratio in the league is worse than other Rangers managers that lost their job
But at the start of every season he is under pressure to do it all again
He has also spent more money than other managers were given

The £11.4m quoted isn't what Rangers get. It's the total for all teams in the last 16 round. Celtic's elimination means that Rangers get the full Scottish quota rather than sharing it. While I don't know how the figure's calculated - I think it has something to do with tv audiences - the benefit to them's unlikely to be more than half a million.
Beautiful thread over on 'Loyal-media' -
http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/topic/326762-theres-no-recovering-from-this/
'Psychologically, that dressing room has a loser's mentality. The big players in the team continue to fail to turn up when the game turns into a battle. Gerrard continues to fail to turn up when the game turns into a battle, not having a clue how to change things or what to do. Technically there's absolutely no question these players are good enough but unfortunately mentally they're absolutely nowhere near it. Teams know they can get at us and our players go into their shells and stop taking responsibility and passing the buck on to others We're utterly ****ed and there's no chance we are stopping 10 next year, we simply do not have the budget to make wholesale changes to this team to find players who might not be as good but have the right attitude and mentality'
8 lovely, angst-filled pages in and there's still very few disagreeing with the OP - is this the start of their now-legendary 'Loyalty only happens when we're winning' tradition making it's regular appearance ?.. Gonna be interesting to see their season-ticket sales for 2020-21 as 10-iar becomes more and more inevitable !

CropleyWasGod comes back and sevco take a step towards administration. Spooky or what?
Sounds like even Rangers aren't planning to shaft their staff, unlike some.
