Ticket just bought, another £26 on top of my train ticket and 3 nights at the premier inn.

Do have a decent record recently when I'm up, unbeaten in last 16 trips up since Aberdeen last game of the season 2019, does include a good few draws though.

Last trip was St Johnstone this season, we got this!!

Had to miss the game yesterday due to illness.

Was still able to view the game from home and enjoyed quite a lot of our performance up till the VAR farce, but can’t wait to get back to ER proper this weekend.

With rumours of change afoot we might see by weekend what they entail and a renewed sense of optimism might be present.

Fingers crossed the team repays your dedication. It’s a huge game; St Mirren at home is a fixture we should always look to win, and we are desperate for the points. Home wins are always the key to a decent season. Drop points in this game and we just dig the hole we are in a little deeper. A few goals would be nice.

Thanks! As Scorrie says, it's hard for long distance fans to get to Easter Road as much as we would like.

Weekend away from my dump of a hometown is always a plus, weekend in Edinburgh with Hibs and white pudding suppers is like Dreamland.

Still a good few tickets left in the East, I did like the 3-5-2/3-4-3 team posted in the "attacking formations" thread.

Will need a really good performance from both Miller and Obita and something central, Hoilett should be able to drift wide if needed, don't want to be seeing either Boyle or Youan out wide crossing to no one 😁

Whatever the formation is and no Myko then I think we need something different than the first half last week we might play some sexy football and score a few goals 🫣

3rd must win game in a row…..3rd time lucky?

It is worrying. If Gray wasn't manager (head coach) then there's no chance folk are as chilled as some seem to be, which makes zero sense to me.

Folk need to be able to separate Gray the player and Gray the manager (head coach). They both aren't similarly qualified. Gray was a good player and captain. That doesn't make him a good manager (head coach)

Pop hibs quiz - whats the most draws in a row we've ever had?

Six league draws on the bounce in 94-95 when we finished third - behind Rangers & Motherwell.
A mighty 19 draws in 87-88 - also under Alex Miller (finished sixth).

When was it that it changed from 2 points for a win to 3? Previously a draw wasn't as damaging as losing a potential 3 points.

1 point off second and with a better goal difference than Motherwell
A win in any of they six draws and we would have been 2nd.
And if my memory is correct, we didn't even qualify for Europe as Raith won the League cup.

Hibs have lost three of their last four Scottish Premiership games against St Mirren (D1), more than their previous 17 beforehand (W11 D4 L2).

St Mirren won both of their league trips to Easter Road last season, scoring exactly three goals each time. The Buddies had only won two of their previous 13 top-flight away games at Hibs before this (D5 L6).

It was similar stats for DU last weekend. Further evidence of how our record against these teams has got a lot worse the last year or so.

I don’t see us losing - but like the Utd game it’s whether or not we have enough quality to create / score goals with Myko and possibly Gayle missing ?? We are the lowest scorers in the league so far and some games it looks like we could play all day and not score - let alone 2 goals.

This is a massively important game..:

1 - David Gray needs a win - a loss would be a disaster
2 - we haven’t won for 2 months
3 - Hearts playing Celtic / Rangers and Aberdeen next - we need points
4 - teams above us are picking up points and making the gap bigger each week
5 - 2 week international break - win and feel good factor at training etc - lose and that will be a long 2 weeks for players and fans.
6 - I missed the home St J win so haven’t seen us win a league game for absolutely ages !!

Looking forward to the game today - surely we will get that win. Felt like the crowd was really positive last week considering the citcumstances.

St Mirren have had loads of issues with player discipline plus injuries and not won an away game all season.

If we draw or even lose I fear for Gray.

If we manage to win the next 2 we have a good opportunity to get back into the mix with others especially looking at the fixtures of other teams around us.

Gray mentioned Mckirdy prefers to play there and got a decent mention from Hibs Observer about starting potentially and impressing in training, have a feeling it'll be him up top with Gayle on bench.

No real reason other than it felt like the idea was hinted at a few times during the week. Not overly confident about it if that's how we line up but would be delighted if he went out and done something. Would rather Gayle, just not sure he's fit enough and not sure Elie has Grays trust at the moment to start up top.

Easter Road is probably the best away day for most teams/supports. Get to play on a good surface at a good stadium with good facilities. You're playing a subpar team relative to the size of the support and club financials so have a good chance of winning.

We've struggled to maximise the benefits of our infrastructure to give us a better team on the park which more often than not works against us. Our home record compared to most teams in the league has been poor for far too long but it's not going to change anytime soon.

This is our issue in a nutshell and the club have to find a formula to take care of these teams at ER. Fast, direct football from the start will see equally crap defences make the mistakes we do. Slow pedestrian passing gets us no where. As fans we should stomach that too

Ross and Lennon figured that out but struggled, as all clubs our sizeand managers do

Surely he won’t start McKirdy (zero goals for the club) over Youan!

Wouldn’t be surprised if he plays Gayle with the 2 week break after this to recover hoping he’s fit enough to play 60 mins then bring Youan on.

Would prefer the speed and directness of Youan and then Gayle on later.

Playing Youan seems obvious but he's hardly done anything to help our cause when he has played. Frustratingly he looked decent for a spell last week but then acted the tool on social media again putting Gray in a difficult position on whether to select him. He should play but it will depend on how that situation has been handled behind closed doors.

Id rather Youan but just don't think he's fancied and been very hush on Gayles fitness so not sure if he's ready or we're just not giving it away!

It’s just hearsay and players wages shouldn’t be discussed or shared in the public. This smacks of just yet another angle to attack Hibs with negative stories.

It’s hardly news either so not sure why they feel the need to suddenly bring it up. We’ve all known for ages there are players on good money who haven’t kicked a ball.

Having loads of possession before a hoof up the park isn’t dominating games or teams. We are terrible. Teams are happy to let us have the ball because we do nothing with it.

Dominating without looking like scoring, isn't dominating at all. It's just the other team sitting back and waiting to break when we become desperate and commit too many players forward. The quality of our chances from open play are utterly woeful and the sheer lack of goals we've scored this season backs that up.

We ain't "dominating", we ain't "unlucky". Opposition teams are playing with more effective tactics and it's hurting us badly and will continue to do so if nothing changes.

He had a serious injury and this season has been stop start for him, think he's struggling with the pace of the games recently.

Unlucky from Youan there.

He can’t defend. He can’t get a cross passed the first man.

0-2

Surely there cannot be anyone left now wanting Gray to stay.

We’re going down. Irrelevant of manager.

The Captain....

The squad is much better than bottom of the league though. Gray has us playing dreadful footballI don't think it necessarly is, we'll find out soon enough if things don't improve I guess. I think this as poor a Hibs team as I've seen in my lifetime, there is no talisman to rescue us, the keeper is a ghost, we can't defend, midfield is second to everything, we don't create many chances and those we do we don't take.

Soft as **** in the middle of the park. Allowing them to win every ball

No, I don't believe that, not with the quality of Triantis and Kwon in there, those powerhouses that we're repeatedly told by all and sundry are top quality.

2-0, we must just be unlucky again.
