Can't help but feel we could significantly improve one particular position in midfield.

Vente chance isn't an indicator of ability and could happen to anyone really, but he can rarely afford to pass up such chances at the moment.

We look a perfectly ok upper mid-table Premiership team. I think that's ok, as long as we're successful in getting better players into the upper part of the pitch.

I think we have been the better team with just lacking better quality play in the final 3rd, hopefully second half the game opens up a bit more for us.

Newell has played well and Rudi with some good play at times, besides one loose pass and a back heel attempt he's done well.

Our play going forward needs to be better also couple of times havent reacted quick enough to a second ball in their box.

That was a lot better than I expected.

Been the better team away to home home against the team who finished 5th last season. It’s not bad but would really like to see a goal soon.

At least today we seem to have a bit more options from the bench than usual. I also think this games got a red card in it and I’d be switching out NMH fairly soon to give us a clean slate on the yellow card front.

We're definitely playing more positively and look much more assured with the new CB pairing. That said we're still woefully short in quality through the midfield despite having so many players that play there, and Vente will never be the answer up front. Get Myko on 2nd half and hope he can get an oppurtunity or two to make something happen.

Agreed, the chance in the last cup game summed it up, when he went through, turned the defender onto his left and hit the most timid shot. Didn't look like half the player he did at the start of last season, had 0 faith he'd put it away and I don't think he lacks the ability .

Hope we get a few more options in up top and try and move Vente on and get some of the money we paid for him back. It's just not worked out at all.

Not sure what the coaching staff can do to improve his confidence. He needs to start taking advantage of good chances being created for him, that’s the only confidence booster he needs.
