No joma have made a couple of nice tops like the hoffenhiem top is a beauty. Just that concept just doesn't look good for a hibs kit in my opinion.

Someone mentioned a guy in the shop saying stock wont be in until the end of the month so (hopefully not) we might not get a look until nearer then. Usually kits are revealed and put on sale simultaneously so no stock equals no reveal.

I thought it was okay, wasn’t terrible but not great. If there was a popping button collar it would have been a lot better.

the home top for the season just finished was by far the best home top macron produced IMO, but the away was pretty rank.

Not interested in counter arguments, I know I’m right and that’s the end of it.

This in the most part has been the view I’ve came to adopt too. But not whole heartedly, couple examples for you would be: 01/02 purple away. Outstanding kit, my personal favourite but one eventual horrendous season. On the other hand, 07 league cup winners kit, great team, great success, when do you ever see or hear about that kit though? 2014 Nike kit usually divides opinions but I always held it high and above many others we’ve came to see, pity the team wearing it couldn’t emulate its class. Sure we won in that yellow “sunshine” top under Mixu once away at New Douglas Park [emoji28].

Umbro do make some beltas.

Adidas was the dream. Umbro was always my realistic preference. Think we may have missed a trick or two not signing with them but we’ll never know what offers were there at the time. For one of the self confessed kit snobs on here I’m actually quite optimistic and excited re this Joma deal.

Just me, I don't think a sporting entity that stands for promoting fitness and health should be trumpeting alcohol. And I know Eden Mill are on the back. I don't like that either.

Scottish game as a whole has been plastered with Ladbrokes, Tennents, Glen's vodka, William Hill in the last few years alone so I don't think we can be too critical of Hibs. We've had Carlsberg, Whyte and Mackay, Crabbies, Marathon Bet previously so we've hardly been leading the way :greengrin:

Eden Mill strike me as a classy high end drink. Glens Vodka on the other hand was bought aged 16 to get blackout drunk in the cheapest manner possible. Sometimes as a warmup to a nightclub or in the park with mates.

Have to agree with this, and after a few seasons with sustainability and charity at the heart of our sponsors and after the pandemic, a money spinning shirt sponsor wouldn't go amiss.

I did find it bleakly amusing that several Premiership clubs, including Hibs, were advertising Dragon Soop all of last season. I think there was an advert for El Dorado on display during the Scottish Cup Final as well.

I suppose in theory a can of Dragon Soop and a double hopped IPA from a craft brewery are the same ABV but they are aimed at completely different target markets. The former is bordering on being aggressively marketed at those little more than children.

I accept that clubs in Scotland probably can't be too picky about who we have as a sponsor, particularly on the back of a pandemic. However we are probably not all that far from the post gambling sponsorship world and I doubt further regulations on alcohol are far away either. In the 70s, 80s or even 90s it would have been unthinkable that an F1 car wouldn't have Rothmans or Marlboro plastered all over it or snooker wouldn't have been the Embassy or B&H whatever but here we are. Maybe it's best to be ahead of the curve now.

I also drink beers or ciders in the house if watching some sport and partial to having a jack d and coke or a bottle of rum. She is fine with that.

That strip looks very similar to this years. Not really a complaint just an observation and I think it casts a fair bit doubt in the authenticity of it. That's before we get to the awful photoshop job on the badge.

Gives a good idea of what the sponsor logo would look like in all white tho…which I hope they do as their corporate colours would look pretty rank on a green strip (who can forget the red Marathon Bet saga!)

I like that Motherwell kit. I’ve liked most of their kits which generally keep pretty close to their classic look. I’m not sure what you’re seeing to label it a stinker. That Forest kit is pretty unremarkable imo. Opinions and all that though.

Take the Harp, Castle and Ship from the badge and use them as background watermarks on each of the kits.

Harp & the word Hibernian on the home kit, Castle and the word Edinburgh on the away kit and the Ship with the word Persevere on the third kit

On the subject of training kits I’ve got a champagne coloured training top from 05/06 I wear around the house. That’s really nice and would be far preferable to some of the fluorescent monstrosities for instance.

I'm not sure the black totally work, it might be better if the white was switched to a gold or similar but the basic design is good.

That is navy trim, not black.

The question is though, is that a wee black line on the cuff or might it be a very dark navy blue?

If you look the the extreme left of the picture you can see a tiny wee slither of the kit next to the aerial shot. It's clearly emerald in colour rather than bottle green (pleasing) and you can quite clearly see there is a map detail there as well.
