Agreed. He has harried Aberdeen. Is willing to take the ball from our CHs and generally moves the ball well. He has been the best of the centre 3 mids by a good margin as far as I can see. Gogic is a big miss and when Allan plays we are accepting that we are playing with 10 ,en when not in possession and likely to lose possession more often than not when he has the ball. The back 3 are doing pretty well again with Hanlon looking like a captain driving us on. Wright was very good early on and has faded. I would have Wright and Allan off replaced by Gullan and Murphy.

It's just not a move to get particularly excited about, especially when you've got a glaring deficiency in the middle of your team that hasn't been adequately addressed in 5 transfer windows.

Murphy for Horgan is a sideways step at best - that's my point.

He's lost the explosive burst of pace that would take him away from a player, and doesn't look quite agile enough to get poorer passes under control. He's still a huge threat when he's given time and space, but why would any team we play allow him that?
