Well the Hermitage Bar last night.


Virtually empty so we had a choice of table. All the tables were manky. Varnished wood with added stickiness. At least that ensured you didn't rest elbows on the surface.

My vegan burger was tiny- small in size and obviously an off the shelf item. The chips were skinny and were at least well cooked, hot and insufficient in quantity. The salad was literally a lettuce leaf, slice of tomato and half a gherkin. Partner had Nachos, said they were decent.

The place was freezing cold, had to put my jacket back on after being seated for ten minutes. Service was fine, I told him the portion was too small, which was shrugged off.

In and out within an hour, will never return for food. Bill was £40.00, which included a half pint and a coke. Daylight robbery.
Try the mosque kitchen for brilliant vegan and non vegan curries, big portions and cheap. The better one is at the side of the main mosque near pear tree. There is a rival with the same name in Nicholson Sq which isn't as good. It's basic, paper plates and simple seating but tidy and mass
