You'd think given what we've witnessed for the last 4 years that Biden would be skooshing it in the polls.

The fact he isn't is worrying.

2 elections running the Democrats have had the wrong candidate and it may well cost them.
I predict more riots as Trump seems to feel that this is helping his cause And gives him ammunition to criticise Black Lives Matter and Tao into the psyche of those that see this not about injustice and Civil Rights , but about defending The Real America
Also a lot of the Conspiracy theorist groups love him and see him as cleaning up the Swamp and speaking out against a Global Agenda
So he seems to be making. Come back
I can’t stand him personally but he isn’t just going to go quietly that’s fir sure

Moore isn't everyone's cup of tea but he got it bang on the money in the last election. For anyone who hasn't see it his Netflix documentary is frightening.
Just watched it. The comparisons with the rise of the Nazis are as clear as day.

Sadly I think the UK is heading in that direction too.

And in the brexit and 2016 US elections.... a modern equivalent of 1930s is happening for sure.

Its what happens when you have a strategy of demonisation, along with removing the traditional burden of proof. Trump knows he can repeat claims of far left puppets, anarchists and the Democratic Party being in league, men in black in planes in the shadows, but in the age of social media the burden of proof has now magically switched to being on the accused, not the accuser You’ve seen this time and again in politics in recent years. Demonise and then make them disprove it. Fascism Playbook.

"Fake news" is a nazi thing too - they called it "Lügenpresse" (lying press).

Yes, I’m sure it was a very similar environment in the 30s. I bet the burden of proof for the claim that Jews were a subhuman race controlling the world financial system wasn’t on the Nazis. The way news is distributed nowadays just makes it a more powerful tactic.

Fascism can only really flourish in a society that is already on a downward trend. If you can convince the majority that a minority are to blame for all their woes, then you're half way there. Problem is that once in power they need to be seen to be doing something to correct the imaginary wrongs, that's when things get messy.

You also get a chance to control a lot of the narrative too when in power ..it can take a long time for people’s perceptions to change once they are convinced there’s a problem ...

    https://morningconsult.com/2020/09/0...t-conventions/

Polls are pretty much unchanged since the conventions. Biden leads by about 8 points.
I think Michael Moore deliberately singled out a poll by a company known to favour Trump to try motivate democrats to campaign harder.

This is where Trump is now having trouble. The social media that helped him get elected works both ways unless you can control it. Even the MSM has all but turned against him and it's influence is still relevant if somewhat a shadow of its previous self.

“It’s under investigation” seems to be Trump’s latest go-to phrase, which allows him to make any wild accusations or statements whilst suggesting a measured fact-based response.

This is what Trump's sycophants in Congress have been reduced to: unable to bring themselves to condemn a seventeen year old kid murdering two people in cold blood, for fear his electorate won't like it. What an incredible state of affairs.

Goring once proposed a wall round Germany to keep immigrants out.

Can’t recall who he said would pay for it.

The need to ban tins of soup.

Clearly, Antifa and Biden (and possibly Marx) are behind all the Soup manufacturers.

Sorry but he never killed them in cold blood.. he was attacked and in fear of his life... not condoning his actions but it wasnt cold blood..... not hearing much about the trump supporter shot dead in the street at point blank range. Totally unarmed and simply because he was identified as a trump supporter . That's cold blood

He travelled 30 miles to another state with an illegal assault rifle to be there? Self defence?
Good chance Trump will try pardon him in January although I’m sure murder can be tried at state level so he may not be able to.

    Portland one or Milwaukee?

Actually it doesn't really matter as you seem to be playing some daft 'well what about this' type game. People are dying and this divise idiot in charge is largely culpable is helping sow the seeds of resentment.

That part is now contested, his defence team are stating that he actually worked at a swimming pool in Kenosha so was there almost every day and his employers asked him to help protect things and that no gun actually ever crossed state lines

If he was asked by a swimming pool to protect things why was he roaming the streets around car dealerships? And where did the gun come from? and he was still under legal age to have a firearm on the streets. And he still murdered 2 and seriously injured a 3rd.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

These are answers his team will have to provide, they are clearly going with the self defence approach to this one

Im not sticking up for him, he's clearly a wee ******** but just saying what the current state of play in the case is

I'm an account manager, if my worked asked me to protect things.... Eh, nah.

Or was he tasked with protecting the protesters from drowning?

    Guess he accomplished that

Yep he clearly fancied himself as a bit of a action hero, from what I've read from both sides of the divide I wouldn't be surprised if he gets away with it as well which is absolutely mental
