It is a bit stupid to say the team beaten in the final would have won the trophy. All trophies should just be withheld.

It's a piece of nonsense anyway, goes back further than ebt's anyway.

    It is.

Nice to see the Yams included as cheats though.

They were running up debts in the Mercer era. When his fat backside went out the door they were 7m or so in debt.

Yep, its the first bit of acknowledgement that the Yams were no different from Rangers when it came to tax fraud, competitive advantage, and improperly registered players.

It's the last one that matters re: improperly won titles.

Oh imagine if the 2012 SC is taken away from them!

Can't see Ashley sitting back and letting this happen. Court injunction being drafted . More legal bills Love it !

Something about petitions tomorrow as well ... must admit that I have no idea what they might be - I thought the next court date was 9th Dec when Ashley went after King.

Interesting, no idea what these two cases are about. Mike Ashley does appear to be getting very active now though.

So the Rangers that have said via Waghorn and Warburton that Hibs need to worry about their own club, have ANOTHER dig at Hibs. The media are really pushing this rivalry now eh

This is the sort of headline I was expecting if we overtook them in the League. You know, 'now they're top let's see if they can stay there'.

They must be bricking it. Gobs****s.

This is clear evidence that Sevco from the management, players and fans downwards are the ***m of the earth. This is going beyond banter and bias.

For a side, that respectively, doesn't want to talk about any other team but The Rangers, they seem to do an awful lot of talking about every team but The Rangers, with respect...

...are we even surprised? We are going about our business in a nice, steady and professional manner only to be subjected to constant speculation about our players, managers supposed 'war of words' to blatant goading by a nobody in the papers. These stories are hiding the true headlines regarding court cases and the board room tug of war that really should be reported but as long as it sells papers, eh?

They are absolutely cacking themselves and I think the cracks are beginning to show.

I guess he deserves a bit of credit for financing himself to try and achieve something in football over the next 10 years. It must have been difficult to show promise and get a chance at Leicester only to be discarded into non-league football. I bet that rankled him something awful over the 20 years as he traded in the City - might even have motivated him to succeed after failing so badly as a football player.

Lets see how he fairs when the Hun's chickens start coming home to roost and his budget gets slashed.

To be honest I'm fine with The Rangers speaking about us. Shows that we're doing something right and rattling them. Would be more worried if we weren't getting at them. We just need to do out talking on the pitch

The fact that we will reduce the gap to 2 pts this evening has nothing to do with this....nothing at all....nope....doesn't bother them one little bit.....because they've already won the league. They were putting up the bunting a month ago

Now don't get me wrong - it would be ****ing hilarious to sit back with some popcorn and watch the explosion of rage from Ibrokes and the accompanying commentary if they were stripped of some titles - but could someone explain something to me.

We know other teams such as Arsenal used EBTs.
Arsenal, being a big club, paid the taxman when he said "Oi!".
Rangers didn't and then realised why we put quotes round "big club" in their case as the taxman wiped them from existance.

That said, presumably both Arsenal and Rangers gained a sporting advantage by using EBTs and the fact that one paid it back (presumably after the fact) doesn't change that.

It's not the EBT's that get them into trouble, it's the non-disclosure of remuneration to the governing body.

Arsenal didn't deliberately conceal anything from HMRC or the FA.
    Rangers did.

I'm sure some Hun trumpet came out with the same line about the mini Huns last season. That worked out well.

Isn't it ironic that the Warburton's advert on TV at the moment features the Muppets.

I'd agree. The only position I think they are stronger than us is at Fullback. I think we've got a better midfield, and centre halves. They've got a good striker in Waghorn, but Cummings and Keatings are as good if not better.

Agree to an extent but still not convinced their full backs are any good defensively. Tavernier seems to be found wanting up the park when he should be defending. He has just been lucky their are not too many good teams to highlight that. Both Gray and Stevenson can defend when required.

Can't deny he is a threat going forward and at deadball situations though.

Stevenson and Wallace are excellent going forward and defensively.

Gray I've been generally happy with but I thought he was caught out with a ball inside him a few times against Rangers. I thought we looked quite shaky down the right in that game tbh.

Tavernier looks hopeless defensively and it was him who lost Hanlon for the winner in that game. Superb going forward (when not up against Lewis Stevenson) and superb at set pieces though, as you say.

Not sure I like the tone of the article either. I think the time has come for us to "do our talking on the park" and not getting involved in tit for tat nonsense in the papers. I've grown to hate Hibs players waffling too much in the papers in recent years whilst not doing it where it matters. The press are unlikely to do us any favours when it comes to that stuff. Better off not getting involved.
