They won't get any cash from it until mid December. Hibs will sell all the tickets (did that last January when they were teetering) and will pass on their share of revenue 10 days after the tie, as per SFA regulations. That's why Dundee United were stiffed by Rangers. They played at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup on 5 February and were due to get their cut on the 15th, but Rangers went into administration on the 14th.

Knowing those jammy *******s one of them will scoop the Euros and bail them out. I've seen posts on Facebook of yams buying extra lottery tickets for Friday.

Absolutely brilliant idea, as statiticians say you have a better chance of dying, when filling out the form, than actually winning the euro draw.

    A quick question.

If they have eight days to settle this, that makes it next Thursday. If they're liquidated then, how can they possibly complete their last ever fixture as they're billing it?

Kickback have set up a fighting fund to buy a collective lot of shares.

    Yam total so far: £2,100
Did stuff not go missing from Kickback years back? Sure I read that.

Wonder what will happen when it comes to throwing it away by putting it into them?...

They can't guarantee the St Mirren fixture will be played. They put that into their statement because they have to generate revenue and they don't have a home game before then.

It's not the players that's the problem in that situation. As soon as a liquidator is appointed, all business activity ceases. He disposes of whatever assets the business may have to achieve the best possible return for creditors. Any further trading would incur further expense.

Can Hibs not sell all tickets for the cup game then pay Hearts share directly to HMRC? I think it would be the responsible thing to do to ensure they get some of what they're owed.

If they can't field a team for the cup game, does that mean they have to concede the cup to us as they can't defend the trophy??? Now wouldn't that be hilarious!!!

No and it won't be a relevant issue by then anyway. Either they will pay the bill in the next week or they will be unable to play again.

If the winding up order is granted next week, then they are not liquidated... they are "in liquidation". That is a process which would take some time; the liquidator wouldn't be appointed for a few days, and it is possible that he/they might want at least a few games played in order to maximise the return to creditors.

To get themselves out this they're selling tickets for their next 3 or 4 home games. Great use that cash to clear the bill then you've blown your lot for the next couple of months and still have the bills and wages to pay. Am I missing something but is that not just delaying the inevitable.

Another one dragged up from Keekback (not from too long ago either):

When Mr Romanov came in, we were right at the brink.... he not only saved our bacon, he invested millions, and has provided two cup wins along the way. He has funded this success, not you, not me.
"We" do not have the debt, neither you nor I have any responsibility for it, Mr Romanov is servicing that debt.
Wallace Mercer brought us back from the Brink, Robinson took us back to the brink, and Mr Romanov has lifted us out again.

To paraphrase Kevin Keegan, I would love it, I would LOVE IT, if Rod did that.

Exactly what I thought then. So Vlad could add all the straight ticket sales for that fixture along with the cash already paid to buy shares and add that in before he sails off in his sub. So this Saturday is in all likelihood the last fixture for the Tollcross Dancehall XI.

You've got to hand it to him, he continually bends them over and barrel and royally shafts them and they continually lap it up

It's at least possible that a liquidator would see any continued trading in that situation as diminishing the return to creditors. See the Rangers situation for example. Duff & Phelps were charging more in fees than the club was generating revenue, never mind any other costs.
