I didn't go to school over here so I don't really have a team. But my wife went to BC so I am defaulted to them. Couple of good players have come out of BC over the last few years but obviously BC is not one of the big names. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It helps (Max) if you actually have a justifiable reason for following a college, rather than just grabbing on to the coat tails of whoever is having the best run at that given time. Doing that could result in you supporting a team who are latterly stripped of titles, banned from bowls and face criminal charges. Just ask DH or anyone who follows Penn State.
I'd spent time at both Michigan and Connecticut and sadly, all joking aside, DH is correct - there's been very little to cheer about from either school on a regular basis. However, it's about so much more than winning at College level. There's a degree of connectedness amongst college fanbases which you just don't get in many other sports. A school pride, regional pride, where more often than not, the NCAA side are more important than an NFL team, owing to the geographical disparity of the teams at the top level.
DH kids himself on with the standard of cheerleaders in Ann Arbor though - don't make me dig out your complimentary post from last year now sirMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Enjoyed the Ravens / Bengals game last night, Flacco is progressing more and more, Ray Rice carried on where he left off last season, Ray Lewis still has it
1 question ive been meaning to ask for years now, why cant the kicker do the punters job aswell?? seems daft to me to have a separate position or am i missing something?

I've long known that college football was bigger than the nfl, from what friends told me. I think it's Michigan state that gets, or used to get, 100,000 at games. That's amazing. People say that the college game is purer because the majority of the players will never make the nfl so they're playing for different reasons. This league is getting me more interested in football so who knows what's next...

Michigan are the team you're thinking of and it's still the same. They made the stadium even bigger last year and still sell it out without hassle.
Think it's the 4th or 5th biggest stadium in the world and is one hell of a sight when it sells out and the record attendance is something in the order of 114k.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

strength in depth might be theyre weakness, lost another Olineman and the rookie who replaced him needed alot of help causing some problems which a better team would exploit, Offense looked good though, team sees rice and aims to stop the run leaving big gaps middle field, worked well last night for Super Joe Flacco

Where to start, where to start. Did any of you watch the game on the red button last night? I gave it till midway through the 3rd quarter and had to give up. If that's how the BBC are going to package the games every week they will turn a lot of fans off. Talking of turning fans off, what has the babestation type music like they had playing over THE SAME BLOODY GRAPHICS every time the US cut to an ad break. It honestly got to the stage I had to turn the volume down every time. Who'd have thought you'd ever miss adverts during a game. Then there was the little 5 min programme on the Bengals at half time, WTF was that all about? It was so out of date it was untrue. Also got me thinking about how ridiculous it was that they have an ESPN broadcast with their commentators and yet its on the BBC and not ESPN over here. The money they wasted on it would have been enough to get me to present it and I'd even have Scott on as the side kick
.
Talking about Scott, don't listen to him. Of course it would be easier if you had some sort of affinity with a school or town/city but then you can say that for just about any sports team. How many of the guy's that post on here have actually gone to the US and seen their NFL team play? Doubt it's even half and yet their just as big a fan of their teams than a guy born and bread in that teams city. People can judge all they want but I honestly had NO idea how big the Buckeyes where when they picked me and given that most of my other teams suck, I was due a break. Course, then it all went a bit Pete Tongbut we are on the road back to where we belong.
College ball is awesome and you should all get into it. Even on the PS3, NCAA Football is better than Madden.

Is there any way for you guys to watch online? Would probably be better AND you would get your much-missed ads too. ;)
As for BBC vs ESPN....it wouldn't shock me if ESPN in the UK has very little to do with ESPN over here.

. She wasn't the hottest women I've ever seen but there was just something really beautiful about her. Thinking about her (I sound like a pervert) I can't put into words what it was she had but whatever it was, she had it.

You can legally watch the games online with gamepass but they block the games that are on the TV and you don't get the play-offs. Costs about £100 to get it.
Just for you.

Question for the seahawk fans, is your defense stronger against the pass or rush? Or both as good as each other.
