Childhood memories of watch Reardon play in black and white.
I remember the old “if you’re watching in black & white, the blue ball is just behind the pink” from whispering Ted Lowe I think it was.
So sorry to hear this 😢.

Just noticed Tony Soper died a couple of days ago. Naturalist, author and broadcaster he will probably be remembered mostly for co hosting Animal Magic with Johnny Morris back in the 60s but was a staple, certainly in kids Natural History TV right through to the 80s. I was 9 when my uncle bought me my first one of his books (Discovering Birds) as he tried to convert me into an avid twitcher along with long days out at Martin Mere! I was hooked up until I hit my teens when other things became my focus in life!! I regret that now I have lost so much of the knowledge I gained from his books and my uncle, but I am still pretty good at identifying waterfowl and waders.

George Baldock, 31 year old footballer who had played over 200 games for Sheffield Utd before moving to Greece to Panathinaikos, found dead in his swimming pool
Can’t see it confirmed anywhere except the red tops and Daily Mail bit apparently Liam Payne from One Direction has died after falling from a balcony in Argentina. So young.
BBC now reporting it. Really sad, young son, 31 years old. Always seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Can’t say I was ever a massive 1D fan I always liked the idea of 5 normal guys just being put together and making the big time, and for the most part they generally got on. Liked the majority of their songs. Took my niece to see Harry Styles and was genuinely amazing, such a natural entertainer.
It's time hotels had moats around them. We're all sick of tales of Brit holidaymakers taking headers off balconies.
