Not throwing enough punches Catterall looks more powerful
5-1. Landing nowt and getting hit by everything.
4-2 minimum. Arguably 5-1?
4-2 England but Josh hanging in
round back for josh
That's the one. 5-2. Catterall looking a bit tired and getting caught now. Much better from Josh.
Josh best round of the fight. Cmon
5-3. Few counter punches but Taylor controlled the round.
Couple of good rounds for Josh to get back within touching distance
Needs to throw more combinations and respond when hit
6-3. Catterall landed the better combinations. Was close but though that was enough to edge it.
Commentators are unreal for Catterall 😆 great fight though
five good punches catterall hit him with there
Taylor needs a ko
Very difficult round to score the 9th
Arguably Catterall once again got the cleaner hits off
6-4. Taylor finished the round stronger.
Pretty even now
Comms ain’t half biased here much close than they are making it out imo catterall edging it you’d think he’d won every round listening to them
If josh can win the last 2 it's 50/50
no question taylor's beat here
Close fight
Cattrall better punches but Taylor pushed forward most of the fight.
Catterall stole the round. 7-4.
a wrong has been righted
What a load of *****
Missed the last round, Internet shat the bed... Haha. Seen the bell and both still standing so unless Taylor knocked him down then it's Catterall's all day.
Wouldn’t surprise me Majority draw.
115-113 jack imo
dunno why josh is shaking his head
wasn't even close
Scorecards were a joke much closer than that imo
What does JT do from here?
Looked like Catterall got the last so for me that was 8-4 in rounds. 117-111 might be a touch heavy but the better boxer won.
I thought it was level or 7-5 Catterall.
117-111 is wild.

Pathetic scorecards again ******g awful
wow this guy is not happy with the scoring :hmmm:
i thought taylor was already needing a knock out in the last three rounds
Who's that auld radge ? 😅
Trilogy @ 147 would be great. Not sounding likely. Jack taking the win 1 each
Cards mental but that's the usual every Saturday in boxing. Josh has his record which were phenomenal, but even in this poor devision they two are a level below. Haney wouldn't fight either. Don't think jack will want it but number 3 is the biggest fight
Bellew spot on
ach well
at least i got £76 back for my £44 outlay :)
if they have a third one i'll put even more on
A draw for me.
117-111 is absolutely astonishing.
I had it a draw going into the last round.
I'd have given either fighter the last round.
If there had been two rounds in it either way, I'd have said fair play.
But those cards were a nonsense.
115-113 to jack for me.
He won it on the basis that he landed more meaningful punches that hurt josh. Josh controlled the centre of ring but didn't back up his decent shots often enough
Refreshing to hear Eddie calling out the 3 English judges despite his man getting the win
Good luck to jack if he goes in search of the big fights.
Where does josh go from here?
Saying someone had nicer punches is like saying one team should win because nicer goals, it's not how you score. Fwiw I thought JC got it by 1
Correct result for me but the cards were wild. For me Jack won it 7-5.
where was the judge from that had it 117-111
wait...
after looking online it was actually two that called it 117-111
Taylor should probably call it a day. He was in better shape last night but he’s slowed down by fractions of seconds. The number of big shots he went for and missed, that’s got to sap his energy and belief. Was the same against Teo Lopez.
Still the only ever British undisputed champion in the 4-belt era.
Close fight for me, Josh came on strong but that crunching punch he walked on to in the 11th probably stole Catterall the round so I had the latter by a couple. 117-111 was a joke but I suppose it shows the danger of getting hit when walking in and with counter punches. They are eye catching and will sway judges.
I had it around 7-5 JC in the end, JT was never ever going to get a fair crack with the judges and needed a knock out to win that one, those two score cards were more of a disgrace than the first fight, doesn't change the fact that JT should have moved up after the Ramirez fight, although he looked decent enough at the weight, making 10 stone when you are 5'10" and 33 must take it right out of you, he's not the same fighter he was
He looked rusty as well, his timing was way off. 3 fights in 2.5 year with a lay off of almost a year between the Lopez fight and last night and 16 months between the first Catterall fight and Lopez is too long.
I know he had injuries but if he is serious about continuing for another 2 or 3 years then he needs to stay active even if that means taking fights that he feels are beneath him. Looking at the 147 rankings there are decent fights there for him if he wants them. I think he does, he looked like he wanted to be there last night, there was no signs of him giving up or having downed tools.
Usyk vs Fury rematch announced for Dec 21st in the Saudi Arabia Community Centre
The rematch makes sense to me.
It's a huge payday again for both. The first fight was close, Fury was in good shape, wasn't totally outclassed and didn't look close to shot as some had suggested after his previous fight. Usyk has already beat Joshua twice who is arguably the next in line, there's no other fight that offers the payday and kudos that beating Fury again does.
If Fury loses then he can walk away or he can top up his bank balance further with a domestic dust up, Fury v Joshua would still sell. If Usyk loses he can walk away as an undisputed champion at 2 weights or he can go again; a rematch defeat won't harm his ranking so much that it throws him right out the picture.
I'll happily watch them go at it again. They both boxed well in the 1st fight and both showed they were capable of hurting the other.
The fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former world champion Mike Tyson on 20 July in Texas has been postponed.
The bout at Arlington's AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, had been officially sanctioned as a professional fight but Tyson, 57, says he has been unable to train after a recent ulcer flare up.
"Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover," said Tyson.
"My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon."
Dubious and Hegovic remind me of some amateur sluggers standing stationary swinging for the full round.
Wilder 🫣
I know that it has been mentioned before but the atmosphere was like a library in Saudi for all the fights, also the constant thanking of Turki Al-Sheikh and his cronies is way over the top, one commentator even said how much the Saudis love the sport and really know the business as they sat yawning and playing on their mobiles.
I think a huge part of the problem is they are trying to make it like a western event but with none of the crowd interaction. Blaring out Sweet Caroline and pausing for participation when none is forthcoming, it almost feels like it would be better if they put their own stamp on it.
I've wondered what the situation is with alcohol. Is it forbidden for foreign fans for the boxing or are the rules relaxed? I can't imagine the 2.5K who followed Fury over were keen on a dry trip. The rules are pretty flexible anyway depending on who you are; a guy I deal with at work is a wine merchant and 2 of his biggest customers are Saudi businessman who curry favour with the ruling family and thus seem be exempt from religious law😅
i think Wilders tactics were to avoid Zhang for the early rounds hoping he would run out of puff i didn't expect quite that poor performance from him.
i like Dubois and that was a good performance, would he beat AJ ? nope i don't think so but would be good if he got a shot at him though
Come on. Have a little respect. Nearly 50 fights at heavyweight.

he's obviously not a bum but imo he's really not beaten any "big" names and the titles he's won in the last nine years have all been WBC belts, don't know about anyone else but i've never really rated the WBC, think it goes back a couple of decades ago when my auld man said that and i've always thought the same since :)
It was the 'bum' thing I took issue with to be fair.
You can only beat who's in front of you as they say. And if you've fought close to 50 fights in the heavyweight division, regardless of the perceived standard, then you deserve respect. One punch can end a life, especially at heavyweight.
