Saying someone had nicer punches is like saying one team should win because nicer goals, it's not how you score. Fwiw I thought JC got it by 1

Taylor never landed a punch. I’m his biggest fan but that was pathetic. You know the judges are pro Caterall after the first fight and you come out with that ? Na, well beaten for me
He landed loads of punches agree Jack landed more powerful ones amount of punches not much in it and could take Cattrall by two or so. Scoring was a joke as it was last time in Glasgow. Old American guy was right

Ok, well you and the 2 judges with 117-111 are in agreement then. Thankfully the pundits, Cateralls camp and anyone with eyes knows it was a very close fight. Could have gone either way, I reckon a draw but can’t argue too much with a Catterall win.

Yeah, a lot of people don’t seem to understand how boxing is scored on here.

88 Catterall to 102 power punches landed for Taylor so he did land although Catterall landed more punches overall. Had Catterall myself but close

He was never well beaten, Taylor was the aggressor most of the time, although he didn’t land big punches that hurst him it was a lot closer than the judges cards suggest, a draw or Catterall by a round

Correct result for me but the cards were wild. For me Jack won it 7-5.

All 3 judges from England, with cards like that you can't help but think they've went in with the winner decided before a punch is thrown.

Yeah unreal scoring. Jack's manager, promoter and himself said it was to wide. Andy Lee ringside for dazn and Bellew said it was a disgrace

then absolutely questions should be raised

but no doubt a lot would fire back with "what about the judges in Glasgow" and probably rightly so

i can't even remember where the jugdes came from in fight 1

Taylor should probably call it a day. He was in better shape last night but he’s slowed down by fractions of seconds. The number of big shots he went for and missed, that’s got to sap his energy and belief. Was the same against Teo Lopez.

Still the only ever British undisputed champion in the 4-belt era.

Close fight for me, Josh came on strong but that crunching punch he walked on to in the 11th probably stole Catterall the round so I had the latter by a couple. 117-111 was a joke but I suppose it shows the danger of getting hit when walking in and with counter punches. They are eye catching and will sway judges.

I had it around 7-5 JC in the end, JT was never ever going to get a fair crack with the judges and needed a knock out to win that one, those two score cards were more of a disgrace than the first fight, doesn't change the fact that JT should have moved up after the Ramirez fight, although he looked decent enough at the weight, making 10 stone when you are 5'10" and 33 must take it right out of you, he's not the same fighter he was

He looked rusty as well, his timing was way off. 3 fights in 2.5 year with a lay off of almost a year between the Lopez fight and last night and 16 months between the first Catterall fight and Lopez is too long.

I know he had injuries but if he is serious about continuing for another 2 or 3 years then he needs to stay active even if that means taking fights that he feels are beneath him. Looking at the 147 rankings there are decent fights there for him if he wants them. I think he does, he looked like he wanted to be there last night, there was no signs of him giving up or having downed tools.

Disappointed that Usyk isn’t just stepping away after being undisputed. If they manage to keep all the belts together I do think Fury will win the rematch unfortunately.

I thought he’d win the first fight. And he was in the best shape he’s been in for a long time.

Can think of 80 million reasons he'll want the rematch, the rematch contract was signed before the first fight.

Don’t see any obvious reason for a different outcome

Isn’t one of the belts being vacated as Usyk isn’t facing the mandatory challenger?

    It's being appealed I think

The rematch makes sense to me.

It's a huge payday again for both. The first fight was close, Fury was in good shape, wasn't totally outclassed and didn't look close to shot as some had suggested after his previous fight. Usyk has already beat Joshua twice who is arguably the next in line, there's no other fight that offers the payday and kudos that beating Fury again does.

If Fury loses then he can walk away or he can top up his bank balance further with a domestic dust up, Fury v Joshua would still sell. If Usyk loses he can walk away as an undisputed champion at 2 weights or he can go again; a rematch defeat won't harm his ranking so much that it throws him right out the picture.

I'll happily watch them go at it again. They both boxed well in the 1st fight and both showed they were capable of hurting the other.

Oh i know it’s definitely a money thing, usyk has nothing left to prove no one came away from the fight thinking fury was robbed. If he was too retire the rematch clause would have just went in the bin and the belts vacated

The fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former world champion Mike Tyson on 20 July in Texas has been postponed.

The bout at Arlington's AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, had been officially sanctioned as a professional fight but Tyson, 57, says he has been unable to train after a recent ulcer flare up.

"Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover," said Tyson.

"My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon."

Dubious and Hegovic remind me of some amateur sluggers standing stationary swinging for the full round.
