The boy, the 17 year old boy who murdered 2 people in wisconsin the other night is wanted by some Republicans as POTUS.
Yep, full on MAGA man: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article...se-trump-rally
Well, he has been arrested and may have to serve jail time. Doubt he will get out intact he'll not last 5 mins the stupid prick
‘Pure derangement’.

I think that's harsh. I'm also not a Trump supporter but, if the guy was saying "monkey", I wouldn't blame Trump for that anymore that I would blame Hibs for some of the stuff I hear at Easter Road.
For balance, the other day all I could hear was "monkey". I've listened again just now and all I can hear is "spygate". I think someone has changed the audio! :greengrin
Donald J Trump the greatest president in the history of all time.

This time in 2016
WI: Clinton +9.3
PA: Clinton +7.6
NC: Clinton +1.3
FL: Clinton +3.6
Mich: Clinton +8.6
OH: Clinton +3.2
This week:
WI: Biden +3.5
PA: Biden +4.7
NC: Trump +0.3
FL: Biden +3.7
MI: Biden +2.6
OH: Biden +2.3
Where are you getting those numbers? Are they individual polls?
fivethirtyeight's state polling averages have:
Wisconsin - Biden +5.9
Penn - Biden +5.4
NC - Biden +1.5
Florida - Biden +5.2
Michigan - Biden +6.9
Ohio - Trump +0.7
Plus at this time in 2016 the FBI hadn't made the unprecedented intervention that Hillary couldn't recover from. Which is not to say something similar couldn't torpedo Joe, but it hasn't yet.
Trump is trying to move the conversation from the economy and covid where he knows he'll lose, to law and order, culture wars etc that have served him well in the past.
I think this is election hangs on who is able to control the narrative and what issues are focused on.
Trump shouldn't stand a chance but I'm increasingly worried in the last couple of weeks.
Unprecedented times, innit.
Things going for Trump
- the electoral college is now quite slanted toward the Republicans. Biden needs a 2-3 % lead just to be level.
- up until Covid the economy was going fairly well
- Biden is pretty hopeless
- the culture war
Things going against Trump
- Covid
- he's an arse of unprecedented magnitude
- the culture war
I think the culture war aspect will lead to the race tightening as the "tribes" clump together but, in the end, I think Biden will win because he doesn't engender anything like the knee jerk negative response that Hillary or Trump himself do.
There is also potential for a black swan. I would be frankly astonished if Trump doesn't license a Covid vaccine the week before the election whether it works or not.
Reporter asks if President Trump condemns the actions of Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen charged for killing two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin. McEnany: "The president is not going to weigh in on that". CBS.
It’s really happening isn’t it? Some people seem to think racist and fascist are just terms of abuse, that you get to stamp your feet about if you’re called out for it because it’s rude and ‘crosses a line’. Instead of acknowledging that its a description of actual behaviour thats now actually ****ing commonplace, the inevitable consequence being authoritarian government and a police state.
Sadly, he’s not got a great record for avoiding prejudicial ejaculations in the press...

It certainly looks like we're sleepwalking into it. In Trump's case I don't think he set out to do it but there's people advising him that have gently nudged him in that direction and now he's too far to back out. He's now so terrified of what might happen to him after he has to give up the presidency, that he'll try and hang onto it as long as he can whatever the price.
Having indicated that Trump would not weigh in, Trump went on to weigh in

You'd think given what we've witnessed for the last 4 years that Biden would be skooshing it in the polls.
The fact he isn't is worrying.
2 elections running the Democrats have had the wrong candidate and it may well cost them.

Moore isn't everyone's cup of tea but he got it bang on the money in the last election. For anyone who hasn't see it his Netflix documentary is frightening.

The President claims people in the dark shadows who control the streets are really controlling Biden. He goes on to talk about a plane full of people wearing black uniforms but then says he can’t reveal anymore because it’s under investigation
It’s a logical progression for him. There are literally millions of QAnon ‘followers’ according to Facebook, it makes sense to keep going with the nods and winks to a wider deep state conspiracy. You’re never going to disprove it, personally I can’t say it definitively ISNT true.
I predict more riots as Trump seems to feel that this is helping his cause And gives him ammunition to criticise Black Lives Matter and Tao into the psyche of those that see this not about injustice and Civil Rights , but about defending The Real America
Also a lot of the Conspiracy theorist groups love him and see him as cleaning up the Swamp and speaking out against a Global Agenda
So he seems to be making. Come back
I can’t stand him personally but he isn’t just going to go quietly that’s fir sure

:agree: Its what happens when you have a strategy of demonisation, along with removing the traditional burden of proof. Trump knows he can repeat claims of far left puppets, anarchists and the Democratic Party being in league, men in black in planes in the shadows, but in the age of social media the burden of proof has now magically switched to being on the accused, not the accuser :dunno: You’ve seen this time and again in politics in recent years. Demonise and then make them disprove it. Fascism Playbook.
Yes, I’m sure it was a very similar environment in the 30s. I bet the burden of proof for the claim that Jews were a subhuman race controlling the world financial system wasn’t on the Nazis. The way news is distributed nowadays just makes it a more powerful tactic.
Fascism can only really flourish in a society that is already on a downward trend. If you can convince the majority that a minority are to blame for all their woes, then you're half way there. Problem is that once in power they need to be seen to be doing something to correct the imaginary wrongs, that's when things get messy.
https://morningconsult.com/2020/09/0...t-conventions/
Polls are pretty much unchanged since the conventions. Biden leads by about 8 points.
I think Michael Moore deliberately singled out a poll by a company known to favour Trump to try motivate democrats to campaign harder.

“It’s under investigation” seems to be Trump’s latest go-to phrase, which allows him to make any wild accusations or statements whilst suggesting a measured fact-based response.
This is what Trump's sycophants in Congress have been reduced to: unable to bring themselves to condemn a seventeen year old kid murdering two people in cold blood, for fear his electorate won't like it. What an incredible state of affairs.

Sorry but he never killed them in cold blood.. he was attacked and in fear of his life... not condoning his actions but it wasnt cold blood..... not hearing much about the trump supporter shot dead in the street at point blank range. Totally unarmed and simply because he was identified as a trump supporter . That's cold blood
He travelled 30 miles to another state with an illegal assault rifle to be there? Self defence?[emoji23]
Good chance Trump will try pardon him in January although I’m sure murder can be tried at state level so he may not be able to.

And he took his gun to work ? And left it there..or did he just borrow one ? ...
Most of the profiles on him state him as a police supporting activist, white power supporter and , in recent times, physical attacker of teenage girls. It doesn’t look or sound like he had a great profile to do the right thing as a “protector” of people .
That said, Dave F’s recent post is the key point here. the whataboutery of different events isn’t helpful. the real issue is that Trump has presided over undermining respect and equality between races and communities and is inciting division and escalation of racial tensions .
That’s not what happened in Portland though is it?
A 200 strong convoy of trucks full of trump supporters rode into the city and attacked protesters with bear spray and paintballs while being escorted by the police.
The video of the shooting of your “unarmed man” clearly shows the victim and a friend approach a protestor, call him out and then attack him with bear spray before the protestor returns fire. Another video shows the cops kicking away the spray can from his body on the ground.
The whole thing is a horrific **** show but you Can’t play the self defence card for one case and not the other

Think someone has mentioned this already. Looks like Trump is trying to get a vaccine out right before the election so he can be the knight in shining armor. An absolutely horrific gamble with public health for one person's gain.
I'm actually quite scared it might work and win him the election. If the vaccine does work he's a hero, if it doesn't? Well the FDA or whoever approved it, nothing to do with Trump etc. And we know the Republicans won't oppose him.
I know Biden is ahead in the polls but Trump is no ordinary candidate. All politicians resort to dirty tricks. I fear that even with all the stuff he's done, we've seen but a glimpse of what he's capable of.
And that terrifies me.
Trump committed a felony. I'm betting he'll get away with it.

What's the latest on the mastermind of Trump's 2016 victory, Steve Bannon, who was arrested for embezzlement of funds donated for private funding of the Mexican border wall?
