We could fund it by selling Nicky Cadden for £5 million given the market

The numerous players signed by the Yam in this window highlights the complete shambles of a recruitment policy for the last couple of years.
Kind of mirrors what we were like a couple of years ago.
Anybody notice what squad numbers Joseph McGrath and Jamie McGrath had on Wednesday
It doesn’t really to be honest.
Aye they’re signing loads of randoms but it’s being done using their new analytics model. Whether that’ll prove to be a success or not is anyone’s guess.
Our recruitment strategy a couple years ago was an owner giving his laddie free range in a position he was never qualified to be in.
Hope nae one on here is buying into the analytic software narrative. It’s not a new concept and I fail to believe any top club, including Hibs are not using it. The only difference is Hearts are making a huge song and dance about it and certain media outlets are lapping it up.
They have a huge squad now and if it doesn’t click they end up in in the same situation we did in that half the squad were gash but can’t be replaced because they are under contract for a few more years.
They signed their last manager using said analytics model.
Tbh, Im amazed at the blind faith their support are putting into this analytics. Its head in the sand. "If james town says it then it must be a cert" Oblivious to the fact they are signing players totally unproven at any where near the kevel theyd need to be. Mismatched to a manager that knows once style of football and was chosen cos they shat the bed and caved to the fans. Im glad Shankland is staying. Hes done as a player, on a bundle that will piss off the squad. First sniff of his stinkin attitude and theyll turn on him like a pack a rabid baboons. I predict another horrorshow season for them and im totally here for it!
Agreed entirely. This idea that Jamestown is the first in history to use stats and analytics to look at anything in football is made up PR nonsense. Hibs will have had stats and analytics to look at when we were signing some dross, maybe not as extensive but either way it's not a magic cure all FIFA stat "he's rated 85 and he's 82 so i'll sign the 85".
You still need real people to make decisions based on things that numbers can't really tell you. You could sign someone with better numbers but it turns out they're actually a bit of a twat and ruin the dressing room, can't settle in cold weather, gets riled up too easily from opposition fans.
Agree. They also seem to think moving away from a Scottish/British presence will not have an impact. Multiple languages, cultures, methods of training and nutrition etc will mean at best it will be a huge challenge to knit so many players together. They could go into next season with a squad of 35 and up to 12 new players. Many of the existing squad are on long high wage contracts form last season. Selling prentice at first sniff of an offer doesn’t help them!
✍️ Luton's Thelo Aasgaard looks to be on his way to Rangers.
Fee in the region of £5m.
BIG talent 💫
UPDATE: Birmingham City are in advanced talks with Rennes over a deal for striker Kyogo Furuhashi.
It’s understood a deal worth up to £10m is being discussed by the clubs.
Kyogo left Celtic in Jan for £10m, but barely featured for #SRFC in the 2nd half of last season.
#BCFC
Such a bizarre situation for Kyogo. Could have stayed at Celtic and been arguably their most important forward since Henrik Larsson, won countless trophies, played multiple more seasons in Europe. Now all of a sudden he'll be kicking about the Championship which I'm not overly sure will suit him as a player.
A player that’s very interesting , watched a fair bit of him on utube and think he’s similar to Triantis in his style of play…
